Minnesota Point Beach House 1-Spectacular Lake Superior View

City of Duluth interim use permit # PL19-093.

This is the perfect place for a getaway! There are miles of sandy beach along the shore of Lake Superior right out the back door. You are close (4 blocks) to the aerial lift bridge, Canal Park, and downtown Duluth. The house was newly remodeled in the spring of 2012 to include fireplace and sauna. Main level and upstairs have amazing views of Lake Superior (you can see the lake while relaxing in the claw-foot tub). Downstairs includes washer/dryer, Foosball, and air-hockey table.

Amazing view of the lake with direct walk out to the beach! Just right across the lift bridge from Canal Park.The house is clean and offers all the basics of home such as linens, pots and pans, silverware, cleaning supplies.The owners are always a delight to work with and very responsive! I will for sure be renting again.

Our stay was fantastic! Hosts did a great job. Nice to have the beach there, but no fault to owners, there's a fence in front of the rental placed by the city; it hindered the beauty and our access to the water after sauna. And we'd hoped to have a fire to roast marshmallows; not sure why that's not permitted (?). But we really enjoyed a sunrise beach walk and seeing the Queen of the Lakes, Paul R. Tregurtha, come into port. Great experience! We enjoyed our stay.

Great Duluth home, right on the lake

The house was very clean and updated. It was right on the beach, which my kids loved! Super close to canal park and we walked there several times. We are already talking about re-booking this home for next summer!

We had such a great weekend at the Beach House - 1. This was our second time staying at this house, We have previously stayed at the Beach House 5. Beach House 1 is a great location! It's a quick walk to the bridge and Canal Park. My kids had so much fun at the beach. Heather is a great host and responds quickly to questions. We will be back!

Steve and I (Heather) have lived in Duluth for the past 25 and 20 years, respectively. We call it home now and have a tough time seeing ourselves living elsewhere. Lake Superior has a draw and we've been mesmerized since moving here. We both love the water and spend a significant amount of our free time walking the beach, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, surfing, canoeing and fishing. We love this area and always look forward to coming home when we've gone on vacation.

What makes this property unique

You'll have direct access to the largest freshwater lake in the WORLD (Lake Baikal in Russia is largest by volume, Lake Superior is largest by surface area)!

You are 5 blocks away for the farthest inland port in the world.

You are 5 blocks away from one of the largest lift bridges in the United States. There you can view Ocean and Great Lake ships from less than 100 feet as they enter and leave the port.

Minnesota Point is surrounded by water and the Aerial Lift Bridge is the only point of access by land. You are essentially on an island!
