Thank you for your lovely review. You got excactly why we love the property and why we bought it those years ago when we left Manhattan.

Yes, "the Perry House", is from 1840 and some of the inherited, antique furniture is from the late 1700s. However, the amenities are from the 21st century so you can actually cook your meal on the stove, take a hot shower or soak in the bathtub. Well, the house and the property is probably a better fit for someone with a love of history who enjoys going for walks or listening to the river rather than spending their time watching television.

It´s a joy for a homeowner to have guests who really see the value of your home. Not only that it is attractive and have the necessary conveniences, but that they sense the spirit of the home, what the sum of all the elements represents. My antique is not for everyone, the people who appreciate the wide plank chestnut floors, the large center hall fireplace, the ghost in the attic, (just kidding) and the old maple trees, will love it. If you just need a roof over your head, there are other places... The O´Neils got it, and my house loved them!

I am very sad that this client had an unpleasant stay at my house, luckily something like this has never happened before. Her review is rather bizarre. Of all her complaints only the piece of broken glass is unfortunately true. Perhaps that´s why the whole experience turned so sour for her? I was away at the time, but the people who were care takers are of the highest calibre and real estate agents to boost. They responded to her immediately and tried to provide her with whatever she needed, myself as well, even though I was in Europe. The cleaning lady whose name was on the information sheet had been there early October, and after that someone else (professional) in her place. Regarding the water, my agents came to check while the family was in NYC for the day and there was plenty of water. The leak from the bathroom had been taken care of by a plumber and tiler. Any sign of mold after the earlier leak was completely removed. I was there myself through the process and knew that everything was OK. The family who is staying at my house currently have no issues, so I am truly scratching my head regarding these complaints. On a sad note, she and her guests left the house in a mess.They had obviously had a big party at Thanksgiving because the dining room table and chairs was moved into the living room, there were dirty glasses and plates everywhere and dirty linen and towels were not put in the bin according to the rental agreement. To get the house in shape again took a whole crew. The behaviour of the guests was strange and shocking.
