Pinnacle of Paradise - Luxury 2BD/2BA, Oceanfront Penthouse

Discover our beautifully spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath Direct Ocean Front condo at The Whaler #1102. This spectacular condo is a rare and sought after condominium, located on the north corner of Tower I. It's 11th floor location offers an unobstructed northern view from the West Maui Mountains, down to Kaanapali Beach and out to the neighbor island of Molokai. Enjoy full shade in the afternoon from the wrap around lanai that extends on two entire sides of this spacious condominium. A comfy King bed in the master bedroom and 2 twin beds in second bedroom. This unit sleeps 4 people maximum. There is a brand new, top of the line washer and dryer in the unit.

All condos at The Whaler feature full kitchens, full baths, central air conditioning, wi-fi and a large lanai (balcony).

***Our minimum stay is 4 nights and 10 nights during the Christmas/New Years holiday. However, we may approve shorter stays if they back up to an existing reservation. We will do our best do accommodate you.

In addition, this home includes a complimentary "Starter Kit" of supplies, upon arrival: Paper towels, garbage bags, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, new kitchen sponge with scrubber; several rolls of toilet tissue, kleenex, hotel-size bar soap, shampoo, and lotion. **Please note that the starter kit items are not replenished. We do not provide daily maid service, however it can be added for an additional cost.

Check-in time is 4:00pm; Check-out 11:00am

Daily Resort Fee: $35/day plus tax. This covers parking and all resort amenities and is payable upon arrival at the front desk.

We loved our stay at the Whaler and highly, highly recommend staying at this 11th floor luxury condo!! Located in an excellent location -- literally steps away from the best mall in Maui; directly located on one of the best beaches in Maui; and next door to three of our favorite restaurants on the island. The view from this condo is absolutely amazing! The photos posted on the website truly do not do this rental justice. We loved this condo and know you will too. The Whaler is located right on the beach -- where you can rent chaise lounges, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc., by the hour, the day, or the week! This was a perfect vacation spot and we cannot wait to return!!! Additionally, all of the staff at the Whaler was super helpful and very, very kind. We booked all of our 'excursions' at the concierge right in the lobby of the Whaler. We loved the whale watching, and snorkeling. Excellent condo -- my family and I loved it!!!

Amazing week in Kaanapali

My wife and I had an amazing week in Kaanapali. We absolutely love the Whaler and it's location on the beach. We have stayed there many times and this 2 bedroom unit is, by far, the best we've ever had. We're thinking of staying a month next time we visit.

Amazing views

The location is ideal for whale watching. The wraparound lanai was a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a cocktail at sunset. Both Blackrock and Whalers Village are a very short walk.

Excellent location. Professional , courteous staff. Great, clean condo, although 2nd bedroom was disappointing in having 2 twin beds instead of larger beds. Other condos at Whaler where we previously stayed had double or Queen size in 2nd bedroom. We will definitely return to this property.

Fantastic accommodations

Everything from check-in to check-out was seamless. We were extremely happy with the entire experience. What really put our vacation over the top was Nathan the bellman. He was so welcoming, informative and professional. Whatever you are paying him, it’s not enough. Certain details of our trip will fade over time, but we will never forget Nathan, or his wonderful aloha spirit. You are so very fortunate to have him on staff. Great location and beautiful condo. Our only complaint is that for 2 full days of our stay there was no hot water in the entire complex. Property management at The Whaler gave no explanation other than that they were working on it. Obviously it is not ideal to rent a luxury condo and not even be able to take a shower. The hot water situation put a significant damper on our stay.

Wonderful Kaanapali Condo

Absolutely gorgeous views from the wrap around Lanai. It's clean, the beds are very comfortable, and it was great having 2 twin beds for the kids vs having them share a bed. The condo was stocked with extras - we made breakfast every morning, worked on a puzzles as a family, and we used the beach chairs and the food cooler whenever we went out to snorkel. It was easy to text the property managers if we had a question. We had a maintenance issue, but the maintenance crew was looking into it within 30 minutes! The location was great too - literally right next door to restaurants and shopping, right on a great beach spot, and a 5-10 minute walk to Black Rock to snorkel. It was easy to find parking in the above ground lot. My family would definitely stay here again.

THE perfect location on Kaanapali Beach

What a beautiful location on a magical beach! Kaanapali is a great spot for a relaxing family beach stay, and the Whaler is right at the center of it. This unit is literally one of the two best at the Whaler in my opinion: The wrap-around lanai with a wrap-around view of the ocean is awesome, with floor-to-ceiling windows. The west & north-facing panorama of ocean & Black Rock is especially gorgeous, from sunrise, to perfect sunset, and then even after dark. The height of the unit (11th floor!) & the North tower location means your views are completely unobstructed and you're so high up you can skip the helicopter tour. The only unit that has potentially a better location is the top floor right above this one. The unit itself was in great shape, and definitely a worthy home-base for a week of Maui living for our family of four, including two full-sized teens. The rooms are huge, the beds soft, and the updated kitchen is fairly well-stocked with equipment, and the Safeway is just a short drive down into Lahaina! I'd suggest that the bathrooms should be updated next, they are functional but not luxrious. Outdoors, the Whaler pool is nice but pretty plain, so if you are looking for pool-side bar or water slide you might have to walk up the beach and sneak into another hotel's pool. The beach is literally steps away, snorkeling at Black Rock is a five minute walk up the beach, catamaran excursions & parasailing boats come right up to the beach, everything is here! I would definitely seek this unit out again the next time we're coming to Kaanapali with the family. For the price and the amenities of home, its was such a better value than two rooms in a hotel.

Stunning view and a great location

This unit is phenomenal. Don't let lack of recent reviews dissuade you. Can't say enough about the lanai. It's massive and we have lost count of the # of whales we have seen. The carpeting in the unit is so soft, it is like walking on velvet. The kitchen is fully equipped with every utensil that you could possibly use. The Whaler property is in great shape and all recent renovations seem to be completed. We had one small maintenance issue, but it was resolved so quickly that it almost seems like the very polite repairman could have been reading our minds. We had no issues with noise from the next door Whaler Village construction in this unit. This unit does have several walls with floor to ceiling mirrors that take some getting used to. We would definitely book this unit again

Breath Taking View

We stayed six nights the end of May 2015. The photos shown on VRBO are wonderful and really do the condo justice, and the location is even more beautiful than can be described. Not sure you could find a better spot to enjoy Black Rock and see Sea Turtles swimming just off the beach (scaring the tourists, haha!) very, very nice. Room was clean, we BBQ'd five of six nights so we could enjoy the evening views from the lanai. Condo kitchen has all you will need, with extra's in the room, beach chairs, binoculars, umbrellas and an ice chest, thanks. Only downside was the Whaler was re-paving the entrance driveway and we has some delays getting in and out, we found out about the planned work three weeks before we traveled but not before we booked. Owner had no control over construction I guess, future guests will enjoy the new drive! Very nice location and stay! We recommend it to all!

Perfect Family Vacation Location

The condo was perfect in every way. Well appointed, great location, excellent value. This was my third stay at the Whalers and by far the most enjoyable. Notes: was pleased they have been able to clean up the pond. Grounds are well maintained. BIG PROBLEM, parking is a nightmare, you cannot find a space after 8:00PM, at least the last time I was there they would provide parking tickets for next door at the Village. This nightly safari gets old!!
