The resort was amazing and the condo felt like home! Supplied us with paper towels, toilet paper, a nice Halloween surprise basket and welcome kit were greatly appreciated. The views of both the ocean and the mountains were gorgeous. Keith was able to assist us with any of our needs

Great location and beautiful view.

You can’t beat the location. Right next to Whaler’s Village for lots of convenient shopping, restaurants and activities. Beautiful views and comfortable condo. The staff at The Whaler are great. Thank you!

Amazing stay

This condo was well kept and very comfortable. The owner was extremely helpful in answering questions and giving recommendations of things to see and do in the area. The property was wonderful and the beach was outstanding. So much to do all within walking distance.

Awesome stay

The property exceeded our expectations. it was clean, nicely furnished, modern, and had everything we needed to be comfortable.The location and beach was spectacular. great snorkeling at Black Rock beach just a short 5min walk. I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again when visiting Maui.

Fantastic space and location

Condo was awesome! Loved opening up the doors and letting the breeze flow through. You can’t beat the mountain and ocean views. Unit was clean, exactly as described and quiet. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Awesome property- stayed in different places at Whaler- this unit did not disappoint! Two bedroom was perfect and the views of the mountains in the morning may have been better than the ocean view- unbelievably beautiful! Great that is an end unit with wrap around deck- sunsets were also great. Nice to walk to my favorite restaurant- Hula Grill- great location. Also clean and up to date- very nice.

Hawaii vacation

We loved this place. We had our two granddaughters along with my wife and myself. We loved having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. We also liked the full kitchen and washer and dryer. The location was fabulous. It was very convenient to everything. If we ever bring family members again, we would like to book this unit.

Aston Whaler Maui

This property is an end unit on the 9th floor. It is newly remodeled, bright and sunny and all rooms have access to the lanai. It has beautiful views of the ocean and of the mountains on the east side! The unit has everything you need for the kitchen. We loved the property and definitely will be back with extended family!

10/10 Location, Views, and Service

Can’t speak highly enough of how well maintained this condo is. The wrap around patio for both mountain and ocean views never got old during our 5 day visit. Being right next to the village was incredibly convenient for meals, shopping, and small groceries when needed. The beach right in front of the hotel is probably the nicest in the area, and the process for getting towel, chairs, umbrellas was very easy. Property management was very kind and responsive to any questions I had during my stay. Cannot wait to come back and rent this condo again!

Wonderful stay in paradise at The Whaler

We love the Whaler. The people that stay here are nice and seem more friendly than other places we have stayed where no one talks to each other. The unit was very nice and loved the awesome lanai with view of the ocean. The unit is very spacious so it was great for us and our two teenage kids. Love that there are 2 queens in second bedroom. The unit could use a few updates, but overall the family voted that they love the Whaler and the location is perfect on Kaanapali Beach near Whalers Village. Close to the action yet far enough away to not be in it.

A nice place to get away

We enjoyed the Whaler. A great property, very well kept. The local property management needs to do much better with maintaining this unit. . Master bath shower leaked terribly, washer dryer barely work. Linens smelled like mildew. The rest was fine,but below standard for what we paid for and traveled here to experience. We will travel to the Whaler again but will not stay in this unit

Condo is very clean. Well equipped. If they purchase a new mattress for Master BR, the unit would be perfect. Manager was more than willing to help with the mattress but I slept on the floor and my wife slept in the living room. We stayed Jan 10-20 2019. Ask if they have purchased a new mattress before you commit. Manager compensated us a nights stay for the problem. She was very attentive. We would surely stay there again, if the mattress issue was rectified. Mahalo

So Nice

The Condo was great. It is a spacious unit with amazing views of the ocean and mountains from the large wrap around deck. Everything worked and there was nothing broken in the unit. The checkin process at the facility left a little to be desired. Highlighted by the fact that they would not let us in the room until 3pm, despite being at the desk at 2:55. a minor annoyance for the fantastic space. If someone can let me know why the elevators operate at half speed in the morning and full speed throughout the day, that would be great too.

Well Appointed, Gorgeous View, Clean and Quiet

Though a few of the furnishings are showing some rough use (scratched end tables, torn hem on drapes), the unit is well appointed and comfortable. The living room is huge with a large sectional sofa and big screen tv. The beds are all comfortable. The A/C works perfectly with individual controls in each bedroom and living. The kitchen has all the cookware you need and even a few herbs and spices and some condiments in the fridge. There was no laundry soap, however. The wrap-around lanai permits 270 degree views of the mountains and ocean, though there's only one small table for 4 so we dined on the lanai of the other unit we rented 1 floor below (823) where the rest of our family was staying. The complex is well maintained, and our granddaughters enjoyed feeding the koi fish at 8:30 every morning. The pool is small and 5-6 feet deep throughout except on the steps, so not ideal for small children. The check-in process was frustrating; first they said we couldn't check in until 3:00, then they said we would do pre-check-in and just pick up the keys at 3:00. The bellman took our carton of perishable groceries up to the fridge in the unit. When we came back at 3:00, they said we had to wait until 4:00 because of our "management company's policy". I made a fuss and they handed over the keys at 3:00. Obviously the unit was ready, so I don't know what game they were playing regarding check-in times. All customers were told 3:00 as they approached the desk, and it is not physically possible for all units to be simultaneously completed at the stroke of 3:00. It just seems they want to discourage the notion of early check-ins which is annoying; given the high daily rate we paid it wouldn't have cost them anything at all to let us in an hour or two early.
