We couldn’t have been happier with this condo. The rooms were spacious, and the lanai was absolutely huge, wrapping around the unit with both mountain and ocean/beach fantastic views. The location was perfect, within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping at Whaler’s Village. The unit was stocked with tons of cooking utensils, pots, pans and bowls. Would we stay there again? Absolutely. My only issue was the lack of communication with the owner. With only 2 weeks before our departure I contacted Cathy through VRBO to get a couple questions answered and heard nothing back. With a week to go I called her and the phone rang and rang and rang…no answer. I tried texting to that number and received an automated text message back telling me that it was a land line and did I want to leave my message as a voice mail? I did, and still heard nothing back. I ended up calling The Whaler directly to make sure we were good to go. Also, the Rental Agreement form gave the number of her housekeeper, Mary, if we needed anything. I called to have her remove some dirty sheets that had been left. She called me back and said she hadn’t worked that unit for a couple of years so clearly they need to update their contact list. I wouldn’t let the above hold you back from renting this unit though.
