Tuxedo Flats – Professionally Managed by Gulf Shores Vacation Rentals (GSVR)

This is a beautiful 10-bedroom, 10 full and 2 half-bath home, ideally located just across from the 12th Street beach access in Gulf Shores. Each of the two 2,250-square-foot floors features 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, a full kitchen, a living and dining area, a wet bar, and porches on both the beach and pool sides.

Connected by both stairs and an elevator, the two levels can function as one large space or separate private floors, as doors to the stairways can be closed for added privacy.

New for 2024
The top-floor primary bath has been beautifully remodeled to include handicap-accessible features, ensuring that all guests can enjoy a comfortable stay.

This home was wonderful. We enjoyed both pools. The set up outside is wonderful for fun. The two bedrooms that had two beds are really for small kids.very nice. The two kitchen was very handy. Thanks for rental

Floors were horribly dirty. Bottoms of our feet were black. White socks were ruined. Keurig on 2nd floor did not work nor did the microwave above the oven. Called maintenance. Never showed up. Everything else was great!

Family Retreat 2025

Our stay was excellent! The location was perfect and my enjoyed the backyard setup. The kids loved being in the pool everyday and it was nice and cool. This house made our Family Retreat AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Amazing Vacation

We had 21 of us in the house. The set up was perfect! Loved that each bedroom had a bathroom. Loved how close to the beach it was. Plenty of parking. Our only issue was we paid extra for the pool to be heated and we had to call daily for the first half of our trip because the pool heat was not working. Also we ended up bringing our own garbage down to the curb because no one did it for us as stated in our instructions.

Perfect size for our family!

This place fit our family better than any place we’ve had before. 20 of us do this every Thanksgiving and everyone thought this place was best. Loved each rooom having own bath. Also kitchen was hands down most furnished we’ve ever had. Separate ice machines on each floor was a great touch! Would definitely stay here in future! Highly recommend!

Reviewer Comments: This was my first opportunity to stay at Tuxedo Flats as it was a large house to take care of my family and with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was perfect with close proximity to the beach access and close to town. I do have a couple of issues with the property, two of the TV’s did not work and the floors were in desperate need of a deep cleaning as they would leave the bottoms of your feet dirty. Lastly the pool was not heated which was unfortunate given the cool nights. Exterior could use some freshening up.

The location is wonderful, 2 miles off of the T, so traffic is minimal. The gulf and lagoon views are gorgeous! And, with 2 pools, a ping pong table and the large shaded area under the house to relax and unwind in a rocker or enjoy a meal at the picnic table... there is never a dull moment, nor do we hear the "I'm bored" complaints from the kids!!We love this house so much that we have booked it again for our Labor Day beach vacation next year!! We usually don't even book a home for a second trip, much less a third!! We are already excited about 2025!!

We had such a wonderful time. Definitely come back again. When we got there and a smoke alarm needed a battery and we called and they showed up immediately! Thanks so much the house was beautiful!

Family Vacation Tuxedo Flats

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our stay was very nice. We had 12 family members. Plenty of room to spread out and great areas to gather as a group. It is conveniently located just across the street from a beach access which was wonderful. Gulf Shores Vacation Rentals were very professional and responsive. We did have issues with the elevator and they came right away two times. The first gentleman arrived and he didn’t report anything to us. Had he taken the time to explain there was a part missing/broken and you did have to MANUALLY close the door on the bottom level, the second guy would not have had to come back out. Updating the signs at the elevator would have been very helpful. All types of warnings about not opening/closing the elevator doors. So, upon arrival we hauled all of our 7 days luggage, groceries, etc up the steps which was a huge undertaking. The landscaping at the garage doors needs to be cut back. We had a huge van and it scraped our vehicle every time we went in and out. The landscaping around the pools could also use some cleaning up as things are overgrown and scary looking. The house furnishings are showing age and the floors and kitchen tables were filthy...the grandkids feet stayed black. The layout of the house itself was exceptional. Highly recommend ACME Oyster House, Surfside Pizza and Bahama Bob’s.

Love this for our large extended family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was impeccable. Yes it’s across the road from the beach, but it still has a beautiful view of the beach/ocean. You can hear the waves from the balconies every morning/day/night. The two pools and pool area were high quality and perfect for all the kids when we were done at the beach. The bedrooms all had huge beds and great space. So many bathrooms. Loved the two kitchens and ice makers and all the kitchen things. We were able to spread out but also gather together when wanted. The couches are huge and nice. Everything was great. There’s also a large storage room at the bottom with everything from sidewalk chalk, to wagon, to chairs, to boogie boards and everything in between. The families loved all of the outdoor seating available and picnic tables and ping pong table to play. We used the charcoal grill a couple nights too which was nice. Someone left some charcoal and we in turn left some for the next group. We typically stay together for vacation (9 adults and 11 children ages 1-10) and this has been our favorite house yet.

Annual Golf trip with friends

Tuxedo Flats was fantastic! We had a party of 6 couples and all had big beds and our own bathrooms and there were rooms to spare! The water quality was great. The property was easy to check in to. It had an elevator to help take bags and groceries up to BOTH full kitchens. It had large living areas on both floors with ample seating for everyone. The pools were lovely and beach access was right across the street! They even had a closet full of beach chairs and floaties. The management company was responsive and the one small issue we had was handled promptly. All in all we had a great time at this property!

Perfect Vacay home for a Large Group

Remarkable

Most of my family members were skeptical of a beach getaway. Most beach trips have been somewhat disheveled. Rarely has a beach city experience overwhelming surprised my family. Everyone enjoyed the privacy of having their own bathroom and the 1/2 bathroom on each level. Every staff member were more than willing to assist and showed true southern hospitality. Thanks GSV rentals. We will definitely visit again.
