The Vista is a beautifully designed 1-bedroom oceanfront villa on Kiawah Island’s East Beach, perfect for couples seeking peace, privacy, and sweeping Atlantic views. From the moment you arrive, the ocean is front and center, with floor-to-ceiling views and a private balcony that invites slow mornings, sunset drinks, and quiet time together.

Inside, the villa feels warm, elegant, and comfortable. The living room is filled with natural light and opens to the view, while the fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare a relaxed breakfast or dinner at home. The spacious king bedroom opens directly onto the balcony, creating an easy, intimate flow throughout the space.

Just steps from the beach, The Vista also offers easy access to Kiawah’s golf, dining, and scenic bike paths, while still feeling tucked away and peaceful.

If you’re looking for a beautifully prepared oceanfront villa where the beach is always just outside your window, The Vista is a wonderful place to stay.

Please note that this property does not include access to the Kiawah Island Golf Resort pools.

To help you enjoy your time on the beach, we provide beach towels and a cooler in the property.

Additionally, beach chairs, sun shades, bikes, boogie boards, and baby equipment are also available for rent.

Sweet spot right on the ocean at Kiawah for a couple. It’s decorated nicely and is very very clean and comfy. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy the beach.

Was everything and more than expected. The unit was beyond what you would want. Everything is first class. Appliances are everything you need and more and top line. Beautiful view. Easy beach access. Close to places to go. I plan on returning for a longer stay. I cannot say enough good things.

beautiful quiet place and size for us two, with nice quiet beach front view from 4th floor, gorgeous sunrises, great dark sky star gazing with binoculars provided too, & easy beach access. Kitchen is very well stocked, the deviled eggs were a delicious welcome snack, & we felt right at home enjoying french press coffee. All you need is there & we’ll surely return.

This was an incredible find. Clean (impeccable), beautiful (images can’t do it justice), private, quiet, and a short walk down the path to the beach. Jeanette and Shawn were prompt communicators. The view is astounding at all times of day in all kinds of weather. We order the charcuterie board, which was lovely for our first night and just kept on giving for various snacks or meals over 3 days. The deviled eggs were a very nice touch and allowed me to make breakfast one morning with leftover prosciutto on the side. The beach chairs and cover were definitely needed and we appreciated that they were in the condo when we arrived. A wonderful experience and I would absolutely book again.Note - if you plan to rent bikes , I might do some research before deciding on the “extra” offer through this listing. The bikes we received were worn and rusty and a bit dangerous in my experience, as the turn radius caused me to hit my shoe/pedal. I don’t know if there are better options on the island, but I would avoid these bikes if possible. I did request a refund for one of the bikes, but was denied. Shaun sent a different set of bikes for us, though I’d asked him not to bother. Similar issues. The issue, honestly, was that bikes don’t come near the standard of everything else in this incredible experience - and for me, the bikes were not safe.

Great weekend

Top floor, so great view of the beach over the dunes. Apt is well-equipped with anything you need for cooking. Cabinet full of the usual spices, oil, sugar. Nice touch of a bunch of deviled eggs in the fridge as a welcome; they were tasty! TV is easy to figure out. Bathroom is roomy and shower is hot with good pressure. My wife loved the decor.

Shawn's family discovered Kiawah in 1978 and returned year after year for two-week vacations. In 1985 we drove our VW Bug convertible to Kiawah and Shawn introduced me to Kiawah. I remember stepping over the dune boardwalk out in front of the Kiawah Island Inn and seeing Kiawah's wide, sandy beach for the first time - it was so brilliant it practically danced before my eyes. It was during this vacation that the two of us decided to set our sights on moving to this beautiful and fascinating place permanently.

In 1988 our dreams came true and our U-Haul rattled across the Kiawah Island bridge (at that time it was nothing more than a wood-planked bridge). For the next four years we rented a 1-bedroom villa, 4251 Mariner's Watch. Shawn was so thrilled to be living on the island that he applied for the personalized South Carolina license plate 'KIAWAH' (which we still have today).

In 1992, we built our first home on the island at 134 Conifer Lane. During construction, I gave birth to our first son Benjamin - he arrived 2 months early in an ambulance outside of the Kiawah Island Fire Station.

In 2001, we purchased our first villa, a 1-bedroom, beachside Seascape and Kiawah Island Getaways was born. Once we got our feet wet with the villa rental business, it was a like a fever for us. We both really enjoyed furnishing, decorating and maintaining the villas - not to mention the new found fun of meeting and talking to all sorts of people about Kiawah. Because we really enjoy what we do, other Kiawah property owners noticed and we started managing their properties as well.

Our whole family loves Kiawah and running Kiawah Island Getaways is a true family-run business. We personally prepare each villa prior to your arrival - because we want your stay to be perfect. We want you to fall in love with Kiawah too...and we know you will.
