Why Sheri or Kristi chose Tahoe Vista
This is truly a unique and historic property. The vistas are amazing, and to have a portion of the property actually built over the water is not found anywhere else at Lake Tahoe. To have the seclusion of a beautiful condo with the amenities of a boutique hotel and small marina creates a remarkably relaxing and enjoyable stay. Choose from five unique lakefront or lakeview condos, each with separate living room, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, jetted bathtub or Jacuzzi, wireless internet access and most with flat screen TV's and washer/dryers. Nothing compares to sinking in your private lounge chairs on the deck breathing the clean mountain air while overlooking a postcard view of Lake Tahoe. Most condo suites are actually over the water, providing a panoramic view of both Lake Tahoe and the snow-capped Sierra Nevada. The Perfect Location for any Special Occasion...Repeat guests come for Private Weddings, Corporate Events and Family Reunions...or simply a weekend retreat. Great location! Nice condo!
We enjoyed our stay very much! The location was perfect. It had great views and stores and restaurants close by! We could see the lake from the patio of the master bedroom. Overall our experience was very good. Worth every penny
The location of this unit is great. We spent many hours hanging out just enjoying the view. The couches were super comfortable. which made relaxing, reading and watching TV so nice. The bed was comfortable so we got some much needed rest. Don't miss the spectacular sunsets from the balcony off of the master. We didn't discover it until the second night of our stay.
We'd like to come back in the summer and do some stand up paddling on the lake. There is a boat launch very close to this unit.
Good Christmas trip to Tahoe
Overall, we had a nice stay at Tahoe Vista, unit #7. We like the unit's proximity to the lake (there are nice views of the lake from the living room through the parking lot and partial views from the master bedroom) and the couch was a cozy spot to enjoy a fire after a day on the slopes. The complex is close to restaurants, just down the road from the supermarket and an easy 20 minute drive to Northstar if you're looking to ski/snowboard. It's also one of the nicer dog friendly units we've found up in Tahoe. A few things to note if you're considering booking-
1. the unit sits very close to the main road, so if you are sensitive to road noise, this may not be the unit for you, especially during the winter since the plows run throughout the night. it's far less noticeable in the master bedroom than in the guest bedroom
2. the whole unit is carpeted (even the bathrooms), which isn't the most sanitary, especially for a dog friendly unit.
3. the appliances are from the 80's and there are limited cooking supplies (no baking sheets, oven mitts, etc). We cooked a couple meals here and made do, but if you are looking for an updated unit, this isn't it
4. there's a bar in the same complex as the unit. we came home from dinner one night and the parking lot was completely full from bar patrons. this was only an issue 1 of the 4 nights we stayed, but something to consider since there will be more people around as a result.
Great location, AMAZING view!!!
The property managers were very nice and accomodating. We came for NYE with one other couple and a small dog. It was perfect for the 4 of us! Great heating to stay warm, 10 minutes from Northstar was convenient for skiing, and right on a beach to walk the dog and take great photos. Amazing to have lakefront views for a reasonable price! Everything was clean, and it was very spacious. Only downside is the antiquated tv in the living room (not HD) and older kitchen appliances. Didn't bother us though since we were out and about and didn't eat at home. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again!
Beautiful vacation home!
We love this nice suite! Thank you.
We recently stays at Tahoe Vista Inn, Unit 7. The unit was very comfortable for our party of 6, however the pull out sofa needs to be replaced. The pull out sofa mattress was so old and uncomfortable that the kids made a bed with it and placed it on the living room floor each night. The property manager, Sheri (who's office is directly under this unit) said that they have plans to replace this sofa soon. The unit is a bit dated however the location is wonderful and the views of the lake were delightful. We boarded/skied at Northstar which is only about 10 minutes away so that was really convenient as well.
We have great new sofa with sleeper bed, everyone comments on have comfortable it is. We are so sorry it was here for your stay.
