About Amy Pirro
We currently live in Danbury, CT. My husband and I are both teachers: he teaches music and I teach science. I started my teaching career on Cape Cod and have also worked as an environmental educator/researcher for the National Seashore, Wellfleet Audubon Sanctuary, and Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. I have dreamed about owning a Cape Cod house since I was a child and used to vacation in Dennisport with my parents and sister. Now my dream is reality and my husband and I want to share our home with you!
Amy Pirro purchased this House in 2012
Why Amy Pirro chose South Yarmouth
Cape Cod is my favorite place in the whole world. I vacationed every summer on the Cape as a child, had grandparents that retired in East Dennis, held summer jobs during college, started my teaching career in Falmouth, was proposed to by my husband on Great Island in Wellfleet, and now have a second home in South Yarmouth. When I cross the Bourne Bridge and come on Cape, I always feel a sense of peace and of coming home. I hope you will end up loving this beautiful place and our new home as much as I do.
What makes this House unique
The neighborhood our home is in is perfect in so many ways. It is quiet but close to everything: shopping, restaurants, sound and bay beaches, churches, and beautiful Long Pond. When we found this house we couldn't get over its location. The house itself is also perfect in so many ways: sunny deck, beautiful gardens, large, new kitchen, huge living room, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a cozy sunroom, and lots of closet space! Plus, we've got the most essential component of a Cape home: an outdoor shower!

No wonder the reviews are consistently 5 stars! I would award more stars, if I could. The house is exactly as pictured, impeccably clean and very inviting. We were able to relax comfortably in the living room, the kitchen was squeaky clean, open and updated (we didn't use it due to our short stay) and the yard was private and spacious. The ensuite half bath was an added convenience since we were six adults relying on one bathroom--the weather did not permit use of the outdoor shower, unfortunately. The owner and her housecleaner were extremely cooperative, caring and flexible. My best advice is don't hesitate.
This is just an amazing review! I can’t thank you enough for this heartfelt reflection. Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your stay with such thought and care! Come back and stay with us again!
Perfect house and location
We LOVED this house and the location was perfect. It is a super cute house, very comfortable, with plenty of space. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need or want for your stay. We loved sharing meals together in the large kitchen, relaxing and watching tv in the comfortable living room, and using the kayaks in the nearby pond. The location is in a really neat area with easy access to many activities. This place was perfect and I wish we would've planned to stay longer!
Quiet & lots of sunshine.
We stayed for one night. It's a roomy house.
We have the most lovely time staying at Amy's house, it had everything we needed for a relaxing Cape Cod stay. My family and I could not have been more comfortable in the cottage!
Great, clean, quite, place! amazing experience
Wanted to have a girls night with my best friend and this was perfect. Place was clean and had so much space. Beautiful back yard and was just a pleasure stay. Will definitely come back for another girls night.
Loved the house!
We came to the Cape to visit family in January - not exactly the greatest time of year to be on the Cape! However, Amy's house was amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed a few sunny days on the Cape in January. The house is very well equipped - we cooked and served a big family dinner during our stay. Everyone was very impressed by how homey, comfortable, and big the house was.
The house is well located, and there were quite a few delicious restaurants nearby that weren't closed for the season. It was also a quick drive over to Chatham to spend the afternoon. I also asked Amy about places nearby to go for a run - she went above and beyond giving us options. She even sent maps with routes! We had a fantastic time, and we will definitely try to rent her house next time we are there to visit family.
Thank you for that great feedback. We love making our home feel like a home away from home for all our guests. I also love when I have the opportunity to talk about the Cape and answer questions about attractions and things to do. Please come back and stay with us again!
A TRULY close-to-all Cape Cod home. Walk one block over to Long Pond and Wing's Grove Park for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and playground. 5 minute walk to restaurants: lobster houses, chinese, vietnamese, pizza, homemade ice cream. Stroll down to the Bass River bridge with your fishing pole or explore Yarmouth's historic district. Grab your golf bag and hit the links at Blue Rock, Bayberry or Bass River golf courses or go on a kayak tour on the Bass River. Take a 1-3 mile drive to West Dennis Beach or any of the Town of Yarmouth Sound Beaches. Want to go to the ocean beaches? How about a 20 to 30 minute drive to Nauset or the National Seashore? Like the Bay beaches instead? Mayflower and Chapin beaches are only 15 to 20 minutes away! Plus, the shopping, mini-golfing, restaurant-ing and antiquing experience of Route 28 is right next door. Yet, when you're in our home, you'll feel like you're miles away from it all. Quiet neighborhood, good-sized yard, inviting deck...all waiting for you if you just want to hang around and swing in our hammock instead!
Please make sure to inquire with Amy exactly how much your rent will be for the period in which you want to stay! Rates vary based on season, the amount of people in your party, and the amount of time you are choosing to stay!
