Gorgeous property and breathtaking view!

We were two adults and two college children and the chalet could’ve handled five times that. The property is spectacular in design and setting. We really enjoyed our ~2 weeks staying there on a family vacation and visiting the area. We are looking forward to going back!

Excellent stay at an amazing property!

We stayed at Ski La Massif with a group of athletes for a race taking place in Baie St. Paul. This was an amazing property with terrific views of the town below. The house was well furnished and extremely comfortable. Hope to be able to stay there again next year. Highly recommended.

Picturesque chalet with incredible views

A picture-postcard of Baie St Paul and the St Lawrence Valley. The chalet is comfortable and cozy in the winter with a sauna and wood fireplace. The views are panoramic. You really feel you are in the heart of Quebec culture! We loved our experience.

Wonderful accommodations

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Horizon 77. The morning sun shining in while having coffee at the dining room table was a great start to our ski day. The main floor living area is very comfortable and cozy with nice warmth from the fireplace. I especially enjoyed the clawfoot bath tub in the master BR. Nothing like a good hot soak to rejuvenate the ski legs for another day on the slopes.

This is a fabulous property with a view to die for

This property is kept perfectly. We visited with a total of four couples. The dining area is huge as is the living room. Great place to play board games or cards while making gourmet meals. We found the sleeping wonderfully private with two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. We loved the gigantic wraparound porch with its fabulous views of the St Lawrence and the mountains. The location is situated nicely between Quebec City, national parks and the casino at La Malbaie .We visited them all. The art galleries and shops are everywhere around. We loved our vacation here. This is a beautiful home set in a picturesque setting. Problem with house insulation.

We had a wonderful week at Marks, although when we got there his caretaker had not removed the garbage and we had nowhere to keep our bags of garbage but in the house for a day or two which got smelly. He had put a hammock down as part of the items we could use but removed it from the house which was very disappointing to my boys who were looking forward to it and left ours at home. There were a few issues such as limited wifi that we were not aware of before hand as well. The only thing we hated about the house is the lack of insulation between the walls. You could here a pin drop on the lower level. Needless to say everyone was a bit on edge in the morning from being woken up by the noise of walking on the floors Or morning conversation. And at night when the older folk went to bed early it was hard to fall asleep. Even though the kids tried to be respectful you could hear them. The layout of the house was amazing and whenever we called mark he’d try to figure things out. Lastly I did not realize how hot it got at night and on those hot nights even the cool mountain air does not cool you of and there are no fans in the house except ceiling fans which were of little use. On the cold nights by the time you need the heat you can’t get it because all thermostats are covered locked and controlled by owner so you must call him to adjust. By the time we realized it it was always to late to call. He has a washer dryer but we did not use it. And scant on the linen. Each person got 1 bath towel, 1 hand &1 washcloth for the week.

Beautiful cottage with amazing view

The cottage was beyond our expectations. The bedrooms were big enough to accommodate our large family. Each room had an amazing view of the bay. The wraparound balcony was the best part of our stay.

Beautiful house, great location

The house is exactly as described and shown in pics. Very clean and well-stocked. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch watching the sunrise over the St Lawrence River. House is in a great location for exploring the region.

Superb Spot

Overall this was an excellent experience. The property is spacious clean and bright. The views of Baie St Paul are fantastic. The kitchen is excellent. The owner is available and responsive. There are several nice touches including the spices and the first aid kit. We loved it.

Pour une deuxième fois nous avons passé un séjour extraordinaire! Tout est au rendez-vous: le chalet est impeccable, spacieux, confortable et très bien équipé, la vue est magnifique, le quartier est tranquille et agréable pour la course et la marche. Le chalet est bien situé, en voiture, des installations sportives : ski, patin, parc, sentiers pédestres. Merci pour ce séjour fort agréable!

Lovely spot!

We had a very enjoyable stay. The view is spectacular and Mark is a very attentive owner. The dog hair around the property was a problem for us (allergies and asthma in my family) so I would suggest a more thorough cleaning process. Otherwise, a fabulous week. Thanks!

Beautiful Charlevoix Experience

This is a wonderful property. Atop a mountain with a spectacular view of Baie St. Paul. The cottage is HUGE and will give you both a rustic/log cabin experience but with ALL the modern trappings including excellent plumbing / kitchen and electronics. Very attentive owner who makes things easy but also takes very good care of his property. Rooms are large and you could sleep 12-13 people easily. Top two bedrooms have en suite FULL bathrooms - bonus. The huge wrap-around porch on the middle floor is a real highlight. You could literally do laps around it, Thank-you Mark.

Peaceful and relaxing

Horizon77 was a delight in the country. The home is very spacious. We were a group of 8 and everyone had a spot without overcrowding each other. The home is set in a peaceful area with a beautiful view of the Baie in the distance. Mark was readily available when we had questions or issues.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend!

Our family and friends spent a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at Mark's cottage. The place is very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. From the balcony we had a beautiful view of the Baie St-Paul and the mountains across from the cottage, as well as the sunrise. Definitely recommended.

Nice getaway

Wonderful house with a beautiful view. Has a country feel without being too far out of town. Can easily handle a large group of people. Has all the kitchen essentials and amenities needed. Highly recommend this property.

l'endroit est magnifique. L'état de la maison est irréprochable. Les chambres, les salles de bain sont très confortables. Par contre l'accés l'hiver est très compliqué qui plus est de nuit... Et chercher son chalet après 20 heures de voyage, la nuit, l'hiver à moins 20 est très pénble (aucune indication). Le plus pénible fut d'arriver dans un chalet non chauffé. Il faisait 10 degrès. Malgrè mes demandes répétées une mauvaise manipulation n'avait pas permis de mettre le chauffage. Il a fallu attendre le lendemain matin pour avoir le chauffage.En compensation on nous a offert le bois pour le poêle. au prix de la semaine de location nous ne sommes pas des mendiants.

Beautiful chalet with amazing views

The chalet was clean and comfortable with all the tools that one might need in the kitchen. Roma was readily available if we needed anything. The view from the chalet is spectacular. We recommend seeing Roma’s suggestions for things to do in the area (left on the coffee table). We went for a day trip to get the recommended trout pie and we were not disappointed! Highly recommend this location for a short or a long stay.

I am an avid skiers who lived out west for many years and missed the mountains when I moved to Toronto. I took a ski holiday to le Massif in the Charlevoix in 2007 and fell in love with the area for more than the fabulous skiing. I decided then and there that I wanted to build a ski chalet in the area. In July of 2010, we took a sabbatical to build our dream log home on a gorgeous two acre property overlooking the town of Baie St. Paul. We never cease to be amazed and delighted every time we return here. Much to my delight, every season is spectacular: the brilliant autumn colours, the magical winters, and the delightful summers with all the water activities offered.

I chose this property because it's a new development with a lot of privacy and stunning views, yet it's only 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Baie St. Paul. We are part of the city and receive all the services provided.
I took raw land and created a paradise. It was exciting to create my own driveway, see the well being dug, install our own lamp posts, electricity, plumbing, etc. I know every inch of this house and property intimately!
