Glad you enjoyed the cabin under the conditions of the basement situation. Luckily, the other two floors where fine and the pool was usable during the day of the issue. Unfortunately, this happened on the night before Father's Day, so we could not get anyone to come out on Sunday. On Monday, electrician arrived and had it up and running. We discovered it was an issue with the whole room dehumidifier in the pool room causing the issue in the basement. Luckily, it was under warranty, and a new one was installed. Guests were taken care of for the inconvenience. All good now. Glad you wish to return in the future. :)

Glad you had a lot of fun at the cabin! :) As for the fire pit table, it was discovered during your stay that the little stones in the pit can block the line. So, we now try to remind guests to check to make sure that is not the case (if fire won't come on). We note in our welcome letter and agreement that we provide a starter set of the items noted, but we simply can't keep up with/know how much each separate party is going to use during their stay. If the items were not provided at all, we apologize for the cleaners' oversight. Not sure what utensils/bowls were needed for cooking (you are the first to mention this). I am going to reach out to this guest directly to try to gather more information on all the supplies and kitchen items. IF you had reached about any of the above, we, of course, would have been happy to make sure you have what you need. We strive to provide a great set-up for all of our guests.

Glad you all loved the house, our well-stocked kitchen, and found that the cabin had everything you needed for a great holiday week stay! Fo potential guests reading this review: As for this guest's comments on cleaning issues, particularly the bathrooms... I will say this guest was in contact w/us when they needed help lighting the fire pit table. Note the guest said, "Communication with the host was great too, they are very responsive." But at no time during that conversation or any other time during their 8-night stay did they mention any cleaning issues. No disrespect to this guest, but I have to say, I don't understand why anyone would not contact us immediately if they discovered any issues, especially something like the guest described. Writing a public review after departing the property, doesn't help the guest during their stay (it only hurts the owner's ability to rent the property in the future). We would have made sure someone came back immediately and addressed the situation. If we do not know about a problem, we can't fix it. We will definitely share your comments with the cleaning company owner right now. I am not sure what happened on the July 4 cleaning of this cabin, but cleanliness is very important to us. Everyone, for future references, please, please, please share your concerns with the owner or management company of a rental when an issue arises so they have to opportunity to make things right for you. We have been in this business for 17 years. We want all of our guests to have a wonderful stay. To our July 4th guests, we would love the opportunity to host you and yours in the future. :)
