Grandpa Isaac Newton Wright built the original home in the 1940's by cutting down trees from the farm and dragging them by horse to the home site.
We gutted his little 4-room homestead, changed the floor plan, remodeled in a rustic decor, added an attic loft/balcony for an additional sleeping area, added multiple windows for viewing the landscape, and a private study/reading area to thoroughly enjoy the solitude. You'll love it!
Tom & Dori are marvelous, and their cabin is simply perfect.
If you're looking for someplace to unwind and unplug, this is the spot for you.
No Wi-Fi, no cable, no cell phone signal. Just reconnect with nature and your significant other.
Watch the deer in the valley and see the sunrise in all God's glory and splendor.
Only 20 minutes from Osage Beach if you must dine out, but their cabin and the way they've stocked it make cooking your own meals easy and enjoyable. Just bring your groceries and you're good to go.
If you go into Osage Beach, On The Rise for breakfast and Half-Sauced BBQ for dinner are worth a stop.
Go for a walk on the trail or take pictures around the old barn, you won't be disappointed.
Talk with Tom and Dori about the family history of the cabin, and you'll appreciate it even more.
Sign the guest register and look for the "hidden dollar" clues.
Thanks so much for sharing your slice of heaven with us.
We'll definitely stay there again.
My husband and I stayed at Dry Creek Cabin for a quiet get-a-way after our wedding and what a perfect little spot it was! Nestled away at the end of a beautiful, tree-lined gravel drive, this cabin sits in a scenic, serene field and is untouched by the "noises" of life. We loved it! The cabin is modern in its rustic décor and amenities. We loved being able to fix breakfast here and enjoy the view through the windows. The cabin is full of fun little places - The reading "nook" off the master suite, the roomy loft, and the backyard fire pit were all great!
We can't wait to come back. Tom and Dori were great to communicate with and Dry Creek cabin is such a perfect little gem of a place!
Our family planned a last minute vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks and I did not want to stay in a condo. We preferred a cabin setting away from the City as we live in the County and enjoy the peacefulness of the outdoors. Dry Creek Cabin was better than home. I never imagined our stay would be so beautiful with unforgettable family memories to last a lifetime. The road to the cabin is an enchanted scenery. The cabin is clean, modern and has everything a family would need to enjoy their stay. We were welcomed by Tom & Dori which was the finish touch to our incredible vacation stay. I have read reviews where people want to keep the cabin a secret. I agree, Dry Creek Cabin is the best! You won't be disappointed with this option for a County Cabin setting. Our family did not want to leave the cabin too long because it was so relaxing and peaceful. We played outdoor games and I loved the family not having access to cell/internet or cable TV. We explored some local Missouri State Parks (Free) and enjoyed boating, swimming, fishing, and hiking. I know we will be back to stay at Dry Creek and continue the outdoor memories.
The cabin is nestled in a gorgeous area, full of charm and scenery and totally lacking any stress!! There is a view from every window and the cabin is stocked with everything you need to feel right at home. I would give it extra stars for the superior towels, the owners have paid careful attention to every detail. l could watch the cows grazing all day, listening to the turkeys, looking for deer. There is truly so much to do, even when doing nothing at all!!! Tom and Dori were so very welcoming. My next visit to Dry Creek Cabin will certainly be longer!!! Can't wait!!
My husband and I went to the cabin this past weekend. It was wonderful! We had a great time and are definitely planning on going again! The cabin and surrounding land are beautiful. The cabin is stocked with anything you would need.. Very clean and spacious. My husband and I enjoyed the quality time we had there. Very quiet and relaxing. We plan on bringing our children to the cabin this summer. I know they will love it as much as we did! Can't wait to go back!! If you're looking for a secluded, quiet getaway look no farther!! 🙂
My husband and I were very impressed with the cabin! When booking we were looking for a nice secluded location for a weekend away from the everyday rush of life and that is exactly what we found with this cabin. The owner was very kind and genuine and we will definitly be returning in the future!!
