The house and rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and overall a great exeperience. The house is really nice and loved having a full bathroom for all bedrooms and guests.
Stayed here with my four girlfriends for a long weekend. Great location within walking distance to everything downtown with great restaurants and coffee spots very near by. The apartment was very clean and as advertised. We enjoyed coffee on the patio every morning!
We were SO impressed with this property and our host. The property was beautifully updated, very clean and lovely! We would highly recommend staying here!
We loved staying here! Having a bathroom attached to each bedroom was amazing. It felt luxurious, but comfortable. The location was very walkable for some of Charleston’s best spots.
Parking is a tad challenging, only space for one car a couple blocks away. It is downtown so streets are narrow and street parking is restricted. The best option is the parking garage block away but it’s 24 per day so add that to the budget. We walked or Ubered when we were in a hurry or needed to go somewhere further away. The place was great, everything brand new and the area is super nice, basically you’ll be surrounded by College of Charleston students lol.
12/10. My daughter attended College of Charleston so we have stayed in many of the short term rentals in the upper King Street area. The Philip's Suite was easily our favorite. Perfectly appointed, well stocked, comfy beds, modern bathrooms and the best location. We loved it. Can't wait to go back!!
The suite is so cutely decorated. We had an easy check in and we found the suite well stocked. The suite was very clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable, with premium bedding. The area is quiet with walking distance to some small coffee shops and, restaurants, and clubs. It’s a bit farther to downtown, so a car is needed, there are plenty of spaces to park downtown. The parking on the street on Saint Phillip is residences only with a 2 hour window for non residents. But there is a designated spot just two short blocks away for your car. Alex and Olivia we always available to answer any questions. I would go back and stay there again.
Everything was wonderful again! This was our second time renting this unit and we would do it again. It was clean well stocked with everything you need and an extremely convenient location for everything in downtown Charleston.
This was the BEST find in Charleston for co-workers. It is so hard to find a place with bedrooms and their own bathrooms, but Alex & Olivia's place did. Ideal location, parking situation wasn't ideal, but we made it work. We enjoyed dinner in the neighborhood during our stay at Chez Nous, and it was AMAZING! I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a true CHS experience. So very communicative, and the attention to detail at the home was amazing!
It was a really nice place and provided me and my friends a great time in Charleston. The place was really clean and convenient (one block away from the main party street (but is far enough to be quiet). Although there are some bikers at night being really loud when they are driving by, the host was very considerate and provided us with eye masks and ear plugs. This is just how the city is, they get really loud (mostly the bikers, you cannot hear the party people which is a big plus!). We loved all the cafes downstairs and the bagel place too! The host is very responsive and accommodating. We really appreciate it. The bedrooms are decent sizes with en suite bathrooms. Overall, a very nice experience (almost forget the patio it was nice to have some outdoor chilling!)The only suggestion to the place is (and I am very picky with pillows). It would be nice to have some memory foam pillows to better support the neck. Otherwise, they did a 9.9 out of 10!
Loved the 2nd floor location. As stated in other reviews, there is a bit of street noise. Not horrible tho. We loved walking to everything. The only negative for me is the water pressure was too soft. I don’t know if that’s an owner issue or city, but everything else was fantastic!
Easy access and lovely place ! Exactly as expected. Beds really comfy. Clean. And great communication w owners!

About the host
Hosted by Ashley
Husband and wife property management team. Guests can expect a personal & lovingly curated stay at the house. We're passionate about hospitality and want to make our guests' stay 100% so try to be very responsive and thoughtful.
Why they chose this property
We love the neighborhood and street the house is located on (St Philip St). It's 1 block away from King Street and next to the BEST coffee shops, restaurants and shopping, but remaining on a quieter street. St. Philip Street is not a high traffic street so you can enjoy tranquility while also being close to the action.
What makes this property unique
We (husband & wife) manage the property ourselves so we're very on top of it. We personally make sure the house is cleaned to perfection and stocked well. We're responsive to requests - example: early check-in, late-checkout and any requests made during your stay. Many of the rental homes in the area are managed by 3rd party management companies that aren't as attentive, responsive or detailed in their offering. (No shade to the management companies though haha!)
