We are a small, clean, 'Old Florida' business located directly across the street from the Gulf of Mexico.

This unit is comfortable and priced to allow the average person a chance to spend quality vacation time on our beautiful wide sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico! We are located on the free trolley line, and close to bicycle rentals and nature preserves. Please contact us for rental availability.

Beach Bums Go Nuts!

We (just me and my wife) were right across the street from the beach. We wanted to hit the beach, take a nap, go out to dinner, and come back to the beach for sunset. Mission accomplished. For us (and we will own it) it was perfect. The check-in process wasn't perfect but we managed just fine and Lynne was very welcoming to us. Once we knew where we were going it was just what we needed. It was clean and cool, although we needed the oscillating fan (provided) to spread the AC across the apartment. Everything worked. The sheets were clean. The beds were comfortable. We basically needed a place to sleep, because we were out on the island all day. We just loved being able to hop across the street from the beach if we forgot something or just wanted to take a quick break. The apartments are located within walking distance (or a quick drive) to all of the island hot spots. Here is the kicker. We have kids and jobs and we are watching every penny. We could not have been able to make the trip happen without the affordability. So very grateful that Lynne offered this property at a price point that allowed us to plan such a wonderful trip. There are probably other options with lots of amenities you won't use, but if you are looking for fantastic location with the basics covered, consider this budget-friendly offering.

Classic Beach Pad

The location was great...right across from a beautiful beach and close to places we liked to go. I use to live there in the area. It's not fancy, but adequate, depending on your desires for a beach vaca. It was like revisiting time actually! Glad I got to know the owner! Thank you Lynn!

Review of our stay.

This property should not be a VRBO property. The outside is a mess. Plants so overgrown you can barely walk to the front door. Parking is in the rear and is very limited. You have to walk through an alley to get to the door. There were bugs under the sink, not very clean. There was only a wall air conditioning unit in the main room.. The bedrooms were not air conditioned. We would never stay there again and most likely would not use VRBO again!

Family get away

My family stayed at this apartment during our first get away in years. Everything was fantastic! From the location to the owner; we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We definitely plan on making another trip and staying here again.

Out stay

We had a lot of run a round to check in and trying to find the place. It’s completely overgrown, can not see an address or the apartment at all. It’s Florida, it’s hot, when we finally got the keys to get in we found that no air at all had been turned on. It was well over 90 degrees in the apartment and took hours to cool off. It’s very very small. It is right across the street to the gulf. That was nice.

Avoid at all cost!

Upon arrival to the managers location, we met Lynne in the back breezeway of her apartment with barely enough room to walk in due to all the trash and debris everywhere were given the keys and a written instructions on a small piece of paper with all the do's and dont's for the condo. We walked down the side of the house past all of the trash and junk beach equipment that was all broken and rusted to the front door of the condo. It looks like the deck hadn’t been blown off in months there was trash and debris everywhere you couldn’t even sit down on the front porch because all of the chair cushions were so filthy. Upon walking in the condo, we found mold underneath the rug’s, hair all over the bedding, a small window air conditioner that we were told you need to run the standup oscillating fan in order to keep the whole condo cold , mind you on our trip It’s 95° this week. The shower was barely 5 feet tall and filthy and not pictured in any descriptions, the kitchen cabinets were broken, the one of the bedrooms was falsely advertised right when you walked in the front door was supposed to be a living room, and they put two beds in there to accommodate more occupancy and the living room was in the small dining room, all the kitchen appliances were filthy, the overall appearance of the apartment was dusty and dirty.

Steps to the Sand

Property was as described. Clean sheets, beach chairs available, was to the beach in 30 seconds. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for affordability a few steps from the beach.

We loved our stay!

Our host was fantastic and we had a wonderful time in Florida. This property was conveniently located near the beach and the Anna Maria Island trolley stop. We had everything we needed for our stay, including beach equipment and chairs. Parking was also convenient. The listing was just as described and we loved talking with our host Lynn!! Great Location

This was a fun relaxing girls weekend. Lynne the host was very nice. She met us at the property and gave us a quick overview of the home and the area. The house is directly across the street from the beach entrance and a short drive to some beach restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay.

Don't expect much

The location is prime and the water pressure is amazing, but that is where all expectations should end. This rental is bare bones wih old linens, dated appliances, and furniture that has seen much better days. The single parking space perfect for a subcompact, so be forewarned if you drive a fullsize truck or SUV.

It was nice for the weekend as we were at the beach most of the time. But our toilet and shower got clogged up and the manager did call a plumber and the plumber did come out but the problem was never fixed. We had to go elsewhere to use the restroom and we took a shower with the hose outside. When I asked the manager for money back she told me that we did have a roof over our heads to sleep. And I explain to her that we could not take a shower or use the restroom and it seem to me that she was irritated that I asked for money back. I got a small portion back but not even to cover one night. We made the best of it but I will not stay here again.

First Weekend Getaway with my Grandson

Upon arrival I contacted Lynne. We met at the property quite easily and she was always accessible. Although a review of the property and instructions for the stay was fine, may I recommend a list for the guests as we could not recall a few things that she had said, as it is all a little overwhelming upon arrival. A few hours later I experienced a small issue with my grandson and may I say Lynne was a great help to me. The property is in an excellent location for beach access as well as the trolley, which was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you as we had an amazing weekend hopefully he will never forget!

Great find: great location.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. The location is perfect. The beach is across the street and it is on the trolley line. We enjoyed visiting with Lynne the afternoon we checked in. She was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again when we are visiting family in the area.

Lynne is great to work with, very personable. The rental is in a great location just right across the road from the beach and within walking distance to Bridge Street Pier. The unit we stayed in is not the one pictured on the VRBO site.

Great beach location

Basic but perfect location and the apartment has everything you may need. Across beach access to the most beautiful beach in the island. Near restaurants, stores, bars, nice safe area, quiet apartment, very private and cozy, kind of vintage. We will be back for sure.

Filthy Property.

I was aware that this property was very outdated by the pictures provided, and I was okay with that for a 2-day stay. What was not acceptable was the fact that upon arrival my daughter and I noticed that the property had not been properly cleaned. This is unacceptable during normal times, but especially alarming during a pandemic. There was hair and dirt on the floors, the baseboards were covered in a film and looked like they hadn't been wiped down in years, and the window sills were covered in dust and dead gnats. Several spider webs (WITH SPIDERS) were formed in the top of the blinds as well. The most disturbing discovery was the dried blood spot about the size of a quarter on the top of the blinds in the room when you walk into the property. We immediately left and droppped the keys off in mailbox and I contacted Lynne to let her know we would not be staying and that I would appreciate a full refund after I listed all of the unsanitary items we found. She was immediately defensive and quite rude and refused to refund any amount. She stated (just lke in all of the other reviews where customers complained about unclean condtions) that she has been doing this for 25 years and no one else complains. So basically, "If we are unhappy, too bad." She stated that she was goiing to offer us a stay at another time because of red tide and rain, but I apparently ticked her off so much with my findings that she decided not to do that afterall. (why would I want to return to such a flithy place?) Her response to my description of the condition of the property was that she brought another renter from the property in to look around and didn't see any of the items we found (even though I told her I took several pictures of the items and was happy to send them to her). She basically accused me of lying. After all the years I have rented vacation properties through VRBO, I have never had a negative experience with a property or owner. I have never left a bad review. Until now. This is was completely unacceptable and very disappointing, not to mention that I basically threw away several hundred dollars since she would not provided any refund. The only thing that turned the situation around was that luckily we were able to immediately book another property down the street and the owner was so accomodating and apologetic (though obviously not her fault) when I showed her the pictures. This allowed us the ability to actually enjoy our trip.
