Buttermilk Bay Beach House - Newly Renovated Waterfront Five Bedroom

Enjoy private beach access and all the Cape offers from this lovely home. Water views, new chef's kitchen and designer baths combined with historic charm make this the perfect family vacation spot. Swim, kayak or paddle board from the private beach, and enjoy drinks overlooking the ocean from the front deck. Use our grill to prepare an easy dinner and enjoy s’mores for dessert at the large custom fire pit. All of your vacation dreams are waiting to come true.

Enjoy plenty of space for family and friends with five bedrooms (the fifth bedroom is accessed via the master suite and contains two twin xl beds) plus additional sleeping space via a trundle bed on the sleeping porch.

Ample shared space with large eat-in kitchen, dining room/office, sun room, and extra large family room with ocean views. Nearly an acre of outside space includes a large front deck overlooking the water that's perfect for enjoying a cool summer drink and a custom fire pit area with plenty of space for your whole group to roast marshmallows or hot dogs or just enjoy a view of the stars.

This is our personal home that has been recently renovated, including all new furniture, fixtures, and appliances. Our goal is for you to enjoy an amazing beach experience as much as we do. Amenities include beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella along with an outdoor shower to clean up after beach adventures. Kayaks and paddle boards are not part of the rental, but contact us after booking and we're happy to let you use ours free of charge. Enjoy the private community beach at the foot of the property or use our parking pass for the larger resident's only beach a short drive away.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all the cooking and serving utensils you'll need to enjoy meals with family and guests or use the gas grill to prepare an easy summer meal. The scullery off the kitchen hosts a new high-capacity washer and dryer, perfect for a quick load of laundry.

Our home is located in a private community in the village of Buzzard’s Bay in the Upper Cape and is minutes away from the shops and restaurants of Bourne’s downtown and the bike, walking and nature trails along the canal. Enjoy all the best of what the Cape has to offer without enduring the traffic and delays required to cross the bridge.

The house was beautiful and located in a great area close to everything you’re looking for when you go on a summer vacation. In my opinion, I considered this area a hidden gem and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to rent near the cape. It’s located far enough to avoid cape traffic but close enough to get to the cape within minutes. There was plenty of room for our family of 12 and the house was stocked appropriately. Communication with the host was easy and issues were resolved in a timely manner. The views from this location are amazing and a real treat for the Fourth of July. And if you feel like going out for a walk, the neighborhood was quiet and friendly… Great place to stay.

A comfortable home with plenty of space for a family vacation in a location close to many attractions and Cape Cod. Three generations of my family enjoyed a special week at the beach relaxing, kayaking, and paddle boarding.The house was perfect — we cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, took in the patio view, and made s’mores at the fire pit. Our dog came too and that made the week even better.

The house was lovely and true to the photos. It had everything we needed, and was close to many things. Even though we were not over the Bourne bridge we went to the cape most days and enjoyed many things. Swift beach was lovely, we hiked near Plymouth Rock and went antiquing as well. We relaxed and had family dinners as well as enjoyed the fire pit! We rented a boat and had a lovely trip. The kids even went to Boston far a day to see the aquarium. Great vacation.

Perfect home away from home for a multi generational family! The beach right across the street is amazing. The older kids got to stroll the beach and look for sea creatures without us having to worry about deep waters and strong surf! The paddle boards and kayaks made for exciting adventures even in the cloudy weather days. The house was fully stocked from kitchen supplies to games to play and everything in between. Nights around the fire pit were perfect for family stories and smores! We had some great games hide and seek at night- the outside is just as great as the inside. Shane, Amy and Erin were responsive to any questions we had. The location was perfect - Onset village was 5 minutes away. We explored the beaches there and enjoyed Marc Anthony’s pizza and Nana’s ice cream several times during the week!The only thing we’d change about this place was adding working locks to the bathroom doors. If you’re traveling with just adults, I’m sure it’s fine because most people know how to knock but if you have a lot of kids, you have to be OK with a few awkward moments! We hope to stay here again next year for our annual trip over from California!

Wonderful family location

We were a family of 12 with 2 dogs and we couldn't be happier with our stay here. Roomy with great amenities(kayaks, paddleboard, fire pit, great safe yard) The outdoor shower was fantastic, especially for the kids. Only suggestion would be night shades for the bedroom windows, and if possible a window ac for back bedroom. Otherwise,16 Jefferson Shores is a perfect family getaway.

Charming, Clean, and Comfortable Beach Getaway

We had an excellent stay at this clean, charming home. The design of the home was delightful, with comfortable living room seating and a large dining table that was great for meals and hanging out. The house had everything we needed — including a Keurig, modern appliances, a gas grill, a fire pit, and comfy beach chairs. Beds were cozy, the window ACs kept the place cool, and the TVs worked well. The location was convenient to beaches, restaurants, and a big Stop & Shop. The property manager was helpful and responsive throughout. No complaints at all — we’d happily stay here again.

Wonderful week at the Buttermilk Bay house

Perfect family vacation! We are 8 adults and 4 small children. The kids had so much fun exploring the beach directly across the street. We kayaked, biked, took a fishing trip, took a sunset trivia cruise, shopped, used the fire pit and enjoyed Onset beach. Everything was within a few miles including a playground. The neighborhood was perfect for long walks with our dog. This home has everything a family needs and comes with a gorgeous view. One thing I have to mention is that the house did not have any knickknacks or breakables around which makes it so much easier with kids. Owners were very easy to reach. A wonderful family vacation! Thank you!!

Spent a wonderful July week with the whole family, 6 adults and 4 kids. The house is thoughtfully designed and well appointed, with many first class amenities. There is plenty for the kids to do in the area. One tip, if you’re planning lobster at the house, bring your own crackers and picks. The house has everything else for cooking (and it’s all quality equipment) but, inexplicably, not much for this Cape staple. But that is a small point. Overall, the week was amazing.

House was clean, well appointed and very well stocked with essentials. Location is within easy driving distance of many great restaurants and attractions, including Plymouth, Falmouth high speed ferry to Marthas, Onset, Sandwich, Hyannis, etc. Our party of 7 was very comfortable in the space. Nice quiet beach across street. Would recommend to anyone wanting to use western Cape as base of operations.
