Luxury detached villa in Ovacik - private pool and stunning views

Completed in 2009, Oryanda is a beautiful detached “Rock Style” villa situated in the Ovacik valley, southern Turkey, near the lively town of Hisarinou and the famous 'Blue Lagoon' in Olu Deniz. Set in its own landscaped garden with a backdrop of the Babadag Mountain, this 4 story town house style villa has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and has air-conditioning throughout. An open plan living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen leads out to a terrace with a built in BBQ for alfresco dining. The terrace overlooks the large private pool which provides sunbeds, parasols, out door shower. and a landscaped walled garden, which has a lockable gate and car port, providing a safe, secure environment for children. Of the five bedrooms, 3 are double rooms with en-suite bathrooms and one has an adjoining single bedroom which provides an extra bed for a further adult or child. The other bedroom has twin beds and a separate, adjacent bathroom.



Recommendations: Ovacik is an ideal location to simply unwind and soak up the sunshine, or is a great holiday base to explore the surrounding areas.

Your stay at Oryanda villa must include a trip to Fethiye. The town holds a market every Tuesday, where you will find many local stallholders selling an abundance of spices, fruit , veg and other goodies - well worth a sample!

Fethiye fish market comes to life during the evening. Here you can select and purchase freshly caught fish and for 5TYL each you are able to take it to one of the many restaurants in the open air court yard and have it cooked, served with masses of salad, rice and fries etc. There is a lovely atmosphere about this place and the food is delicious. Today, Fethiye is a prime example of a modern marina and harbour offering daily boat trips as well as a hydrofoil over to Rhodes. A selection of shops and an indoor bazaar are located nearby.

Excursions (can be prebooked): Dalyan:
A fun place to visit - Dalyan is famous for its mud baths, which not only cleanse the skin but are said to remedy rheumatism and have anti-ageing properties. Included in this trip is a visit to the Lycian cliff tombs and the ancient city of Caunos as well as time to unwind on the nearby beach famous as a nesting area for the loggerhead turtles.

Lycian Coast Boat Trips:
Leaving from either Olu Deniz or Fethiye - a relaxing day of sun, sea and fun exploring the beautiful coastline and nearby islands. This trip is not to be missed!

Kayakoy:
Known locally as Ghost Village, Kayakoy is a Greek deserted settlement situated about 4km away from Hisarinou. Kayakoy is easily reached by dolmus bus or taxi.


ACCESSIBILITY - This property is not recommended to the elderly or people with mobility difficulties as the property is situated on an incline and there are steps throughout the property to the various levels. It is not suitable for those requiring wheelchair access.

Fantastic Location

Our first time in this part of Turkey, Villa is based in Ovacik, 5 minute stroll down to Hisaronu & we usually took a taxi to Olu Deniz & Fethiye. Taxi call button directly outside the Villa - taxi’s cheap. 8 sunbeds around the pool. Dining terrace superb. Good information folder in Villa - enjoyed all the restaurant recommendations. Catherine & Darren were great, they answered all our questions prior to arrival & so helpful & responsive whilst we were in the Villa. Loved everything about our trip - we will be back xxxx

What can I say from booking to end communication excellent, villa absolutely stunning home from home. We haven’t been to Turkey for 5 years and this holly made us fall in love again, villa so clean when we arrived, great location, neighbours Paul and Lesley so welcoming and lovely. Beautiful villa

Stayed for 2 weeks in this amazing villa. This is my first villa holiday and it didnt disappoint. Equipped with everything you could need. The pool area is so pretty with lots of flowers and kept so clean by a man who comes every day. Had a power cut one evening and within half an hour of me informing the owner, the agent arrived and sorted it. Would thoroughly recommend this villa. Such good value for what you get.

A great place to stay

The villa was clean and well stocked, it almost felt like a second home. We especially loved the pool. It was big, clean and deep enough (1.3-1.8m roughly). The veranda has a nice view of the garden & the mountains (you can even see a couple of paragliders) plus a breeze. A taxi button is conveniently right outside the villa. Communication was excellent. Before and during our stay, any questions or issues we brought up were sorted out quickly. Catherine was very polite & helpful, as was her agent. The only small negative is that some of the pillows need replacing. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time here

First time in Turkey and absolutely loved it. Our stay at Catherine’s villa was great with my family of 7 adults. The villa has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Local restaurants were great especially Gino’s. Great food and live sports. We enjoyed walking down to Ovacik and Hisaranou. Ovacik has all the bigger supermarkets and a fresh bakery. Hisaranou is great if you want a more lively evening. Oludeniz was the nearest beach but you would have to get a taxi. Oludeniz has some amazing restaurants and a great range of cuisines. Takes about 10 minutes. Great bonus was the button outside the property to call for a taxi. I would definitely stay at this property again but would expect quicker responses from the property owner.

Lovely Villa

The villa was lovely and in a great location. Only a 10 minute walk to hisaronu which has a great selection of restaurants and shops. It was clean, however it smelt really damp and foisty especially down stairs. We kept the windows open the whole time during our 12 night stay, but the smell didn’t go away. There wasn’t enough hot water for us all to shower each morning and night and although we contacted the property manager, who advised someone would come to look at the boiler, no one did, so could only have one daily shower each. There wasn’t any hand soap in any of the bathrooms or bleach or cleaning products to clean the bathrooms or kitchen, these in my opinion are basics that should be provided. There was no gas for the hob, which wasn’t an issue as we didn’t cook in the villa, but should have been checked before our arrival. The outside of the villa was well maintained and the pool cleaned daily.

From the start the communication with Catherine was brilliant, she went above & beyond to accommodate our dates due to the airline cancelling & rescheduling our flights. The villa was exactly as described & very clean & modern. We all had a fantastic time in the pool & gardens of the villa. All the shops & eating places were within walking distance although I must admit that walking down the hill was fine but we cheated coming back to the villa & jumped into taxis as the walk back up the hill in the heat was just a little too much for us. I would definitely recommend this villa to friends & family as we had an amazing time in this beautiful property. Thank you Catherine for letting us stay at your gorgeous house.

very good holiday

what a lovely villa to stay at and english speaking agents sorted the small issue we had on day 2 (air con needed re gassing) very quickly the area is lovely although the stray dogs (safe) were abit loud in the evening, it wouldnt out us off the villa doesnt have a proper oven which was an inconvenience but again no lt an off put my only gripe would be the host communication was very very quick before we book3d but once we booked the replies were slow or non existent felt a little..... unimportant once our money was paid but just to confirm. the villa is lovely and pictures dont really do it justice

Amazing !!!

We were a party of 9 with grandson aged 5 years old. The villa was as shown on the website and enough room for all of us. Grandson loved the pool and learnt how to swim in the 10 days we were there. Easy walk to the ‘Strip’ and Ovicik but the button for the taxi was outside the villa was charged 500 TL (£2.50), Bargain !!! Restaurants and shops down the hill but also plenty of shops and supermarkets on the Strip. During our stay we hired a boat for the day ‘REFF BOAT’ (was picked up from the villa) went to an escape room, on the cable cars, also visited the Ghost Town and finished off the holiday at a drag show ‘Talk of the Town’ which was brilliant. Would definitely recommend this villa for it accessibility to the surrounding resorts, out of the way from the noise but near enough to where you want to go, plenty of taxis available. As a family we would definitely hire this villa again and all had an amazing time. Thank you Catherine and Darren.

Villa Oryanda - Great property, great find!

A huge "thank you" to Catherine and Darren for letting us stay in their fantastic villa at the beginning of August - all 8 of us had a great time. The villa was everything we hoped for - the rooms were great - air conditioning very useful, and the pool was amazing, with lovely views of the mountains.  An added bonus was that a local cat had just given birth to a litter of 4 kittens, so they kept the entire family of animal lovers well entertained!!! The villa management team in Turkey were great - we managed somehow to snap the key to the patio doors... within an hour of reporting it, we had a replacement key delivered to us. The pool was cleaned daily, and the lovely garden was maintained daily as well. Catherine arranged for a local company to provide transfers to/from Dalaman airport - very cheap, very punctual and a very comfortable journey. Oludeniz and Fethiye were fantastic - Oludeniz is lovely, fairly small, but stylish.  I was less keen on the Blue Lagoon... very crowded... a bit of a human soup...!  Hisaronu, a 10 minute walk down the hill and to the left from the villa, was full-on - full of bars and restaurants, loud, lively (at night) and ideal for "the yoof".  The walk DOWN to Hisaronu was lovely... the walk back UP less so... though I made sure that I did it at least 3 times a day... a fantastic work out!!  Of course, if you don't fancy a walk in 35 degree heat, the dolmus buses are regular and cheap, as are taxis, which are convenient to call from buttons on lampposts.  Closer by is Ovacik, a smaller area of bars and restaurants, just down the road and to the right of the villa.  The nearest shop, handy to pop to for bread & milk, is just a three minute walk away, next door to the nearest restaurant. The highlight of our holiday though was a boat trip around the local coastline. We were picked up from our villa and taken to Oludeniz, where we caught one of many boats sailing out of OD. The trip lasted from 09.45 - 16.30, and visited 6 different beaches/bays around the coastline, where we were given ample time to dive off the boat and swim in the gorgeous turquoise sea. Lunch comprised of barbecue chicken or trout and as much salad, pasta, chips etc... as you wanted. Upon arrival back at OD, return coach back to our villa.  All of this for £12.50pp!  Brilliant value! We would really recommend Oryanda Daisy Villa H without hesitation. Great Villa, great views.

This was a family holiday for nine people, including 1 year old twins and it couldn't have been better. From the outset, communication with the owners was superb and all of the extras we need were sorted out without a problem. The villa itself is in a great location, even though the walk up the hill can be a bit tiring after a long day in the sun. There is a small supermarket and two very good restaurants within easy walking distance and Hisaronu is also within walking distance. Having a villa is an absolute joy, especially one as good as this and, when the owners are excellent in the way they communicate with you there isn't a better way to enjoy turkey. We will be back.

Brilliant Location

The Villa was the ideal distance from the centre of Hisaronu, close enough to walk in 10 - 15 minutes. The Villa was clean on arrival and had plenty of linen and Towels plus a washing machine if needed. The Pool was regularly maintained and a nice enough size to have a swim. I would recommend a stay here, everything you need is provided.

Fabulous holiday

Enquiry and booking process easy and great communication with owners. As we were arriving on a Sunday when the agents office would be closed they arranged for the keys to be collected by our transfer company. Property exactly as described and shown in photos. Very spacious bedroom accommodation with plenty of wardrobe space and storage, four bathrooms very useful for our size of party. We stayed as a party of 6 for one week and then 9 of us for the second week - the villa did not feel crowded, even with 9 adults. While we were there we called the agents as there was no hot water and they sent a maintenance man up within the hour to sort the problem. Also on our first full day the pool went cloudy and the pool man came 4 times during the day to check and adjust the chemicals etc to ensure it was sorted promptly. The outdoor living space was lovely - sitting on the veranda to get a bit of shade, the pool area and surrounding gardens were all well maintained. Probably the only negative thing I can think was the kitchen area was very compact and you would struggle to cook much more than a simple meal. This did not bother us as we tend to eat out most nights or order takeaway in - holidays are not for being chained to the stove!! We had a lovely holiday and would definitely consider staying here again if we return to the area.

Fantastic family villa

The villa is beautifully clean and well maintained. There were 9 of us in our holiday party, 4 adults and 5 children and I have to say the villa was ideal for ALL of us. It was great to relax by the pool while the children entertained themselves in the pool. Because the villa is on the hillside there always seemed to be a cooling breeze on the balcony. The main high street is just a short walk down the hill and you will be spoilt for choice for restaurants. After you have eaten and had a few drinks you may not fancy the walk back up the hill but taxis are readily available and very cheap. If you fancy staying in of an evening there are plenty of restaurants around that will deliver to the villa. Oludeniz is a short bus ride away with its fantastic beach and promenade. Here there are lots more bars and restaurants to choose from. Buzz Beach Bar is a favourite but you may need to book first. It will only cost about £5 for a taxi back if you don't fancy the bus which are usually pretty full. The water park is not far away and is well worth a visit and there is plenty of shelter if the sun gets too much for you! On extra little bonus we thought was a good idea, right outside the villa there is a button that will call a taxi for you! All in all Oryanda is a fantastic villa in a fantastic location, we are already planning our next visit,

Beautiful villa in stunning location

I have just returned from a week at the villa with my mother, brother and sister-in-law, along with their two young children. The villa is just as good as it looks in the pictures and the mountainside setting is just beautiful. The villa is very spacious and clean, and was so good in fact that we hardly left there! We were more than happy relaxing by the pool and picking up supplies for lunch from the local Azda, about 10 mins walk away. It is also a 10/15min walk into the main strip of Hisaronu, with many restaurants and bars. It was still fairly quiet at this time of year and the weather was perfect in the late twenties. You also get a lovely breeze at the villa, due to the mountainside location. The only place we ventured to was Olu Deniz to go to the Blue Lagoon. This is also a beautiful spot and very good for kids due to the shallow warm water. It costs about £2 to enter as its a National Park and the taxi there was about £7, only 15mins away. We wished we'd gone there again. There are also lovely restaurants along the seafront there and a few shops. I am determined to go back here as there are so many trips to do - jeep safari, paragliding, watersports, Pamukalle etc. Definitely not a place to get bored! The villa is very child friendly with stairgates, cot, highchair etc. and the owners were so helpful with booking arrangements and transfers. My niece was quite happily waving to the pool guy every afternoon, who was very friendly. Lots of other useful information I gleened from the other excellent reviews so keep reading......

Stunning Villa, perfect for family holidays!

On arrival at Dalaman Airport we were greeted by a driver from NG property maintenance, who stopped at a shop to get us bottles of water. We then headed onto the villa which turned out to be absolutley perfect! It is just as described, very clean and tidy with well maintained gardens and pool. The location is perfect and not too far from anything - about a 15 minute walk into Hisaranu, where there is lots of lovely restaurants and bars! Would highly recomend Mamma Mia and The Lemon Tree. Also over from the villa is a small hotel called Malibu Aparthotel where you can get lovely bar snacks and they let you use the pool - very friendly. Catherine and Diane who own the villa could not be more helpful. We will definately be going back to the villa and would absolutley recommend this to anyone!!!! x

Superb Turkish Villa

Location Upon arrival we were collected by the New Generation Property company, who provide direct transfers from Dalaman Airport to the Villa, they also manage the property. An efficient journey, but upon arrival we spent 20mins trying to identify which villa the property was - no major issue, it was dark. There are 6 villas in a nice area at the top of a hillside location, the bonus is you get a nice breeze as a result. Lower to sea level it’s a lot warmer - Olu Deniz beach and Fethiye. There are some amazing views here; bizarrely if you do a paraglide you'll pass the villa en route to the top of the local mountain (2000m high). Like other reviews have mentioned there are some local restaurants, a bar (The Meeting Point Cafe) and two small supermarkets. Ovacik is a 10min walk, a small number of restaurants, bars, etc. are located here. There is a butcher for using the resident BBQ and an Azda (Large supermarket) for everything else. Hisaronu is a 15/20mins walk, this a lively area with approx. 150 bars and restaurants. Nice area though, not too 'low market English'. Olu Deniz beach can be reached via a Bus/Taxi from Ovacik, so a 10min walk and a further 10/15min drive. In essence the villa is in an excellent location. Villa The property is very clean, well-maintained, inside and out, overall we were very happy with the decoration and spacing. Everything was very clean and organised. Some useful instructions were provided before arrival. Useful homely items included in the property which you'd expect to have to buy. The property was built in 2006 so it has a modern feel, well laid out and overall very spacious. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with plates, cups and eating utensils. The master bedroom is excellent with a large en suite and door which open onto the balcony, useful storage and a safe. There is a washing machine in the villa. The golden gem of the property is the pool and garden area. Immaculately maintained and provide a relaxing and private environment. The well landscaped garden and large pool terrace area make for a perfect holiday environment. The owner provided good customer service overall. Would we go back and stay here? Would we recommend the villa to a friend? Without hesitation!

Excellent Holiday Beaches & Weather

We had never been to Turkey before and went with friends. It was a brilliant holiday and we will be definitely going again. The villa was clean, modern with air-con, great villa for families and friends, the location is about a 10 minute walk from the town and the views are breathtaking. It was wonderful, we really enjoyed the peaceful relaxing atmosphere around the pool away from the hustle & bustle. Hisaronu is a great town, it has so many restaurants, you are spoilt for choice. It is great for shopping, bars & nightlife something for the young & the old. We went on several trips – a boat trip that takes you around 9 uninhabited islands in the Med, there are stop offs where the kids got the chance to jump off driving boards & slides from the boat, totally exhausting but a great day out for the family. Also a Jeep Safari through the mountains & finishing at natural mud baths it’s different but a fun experience. It looks like large dirty pool and you just cover yourselves in mud like hippos. On our last evening we went to the Turkish Baths in Hisaronu, it was wonderful. After a sauna and wash down, your skin is exfoliated and then massaged with foam. It's the most relaxed I've ever felt. If you don’t feel like going out you can stock up at the supermarket with local produce for the BBQ with a few bottles of vino & chill out on the terrace.

Daisy Gardens, Ovacik

A fabulous holiday with a great villa in a perfect location. My husband was not entirely looking forward to visiting Turkey but he has been converted. The villa is perfect, particularly for us in terms of location. Approximately a 10 minute walk into Hisoranou for full on nightlife and entertainment but with a private pool we hardly needed to venutre out. When we did, the local bus (dolmus) took us 10 minutes in one direction ot Olu Deniz or 10 minutes in the other direction to the beautiful marina at Fetyihe (go to the Old Turkish bath there - great fun). On arrival at Dalaman, we were met by the driver and taken in a very comfortable Mercedes taxi to the villa, all within an hour of landing in Turkey. The villa is well equipped, very comfortable and clean. We cooked on the outside bbq a couple of times as well as having a pizza delivered! Gardens and pool are well maintained and its a peaceful place to enjoy a week or two in the sun. We hired a car for a couple of days through the agents in Turkey and went to Skaklient Gorge (get there early before the coach trips decent about 11am!) finished off with a fab fresh trout lunch over the river. Another 'must' is the deserted village of Kaya where you'll also find some great local restaurants, the best one being Cin Bal. Miss it, miss out. I would recommend this villa for couples, families and girly holidays. Cocktails by the pool watching the sun go down over the mountains, anyone?

Fantastic Holiday Villa

Our party of 8 ( 5 adults, 3 children ages 5, 8 and 13 ) stayed at Daisy Villa in August 2010.The whole booking process was extremely easy and helpful with the owner accomodating several changes of date before we settled on our chosen date. We were provided with a downloadable brochure and all our questions were answered via e mail within 24 hrs. The owner arranged our transfers and this again was a smooth process both on arrival and departure.The villa itself was extremely impressive and beautifully decorated, with ample space for all of us, the master bedroom being most luxurious. The swimming pool and terrace was the main focus of our holiday and this was the largest pool we have had on our four previous villa properties, with a nice surrounding garden in a peaceful part of the town.All the things you require to have a self catering holiday are included in the villa and we stayed "home" a couple of evenings and enjoyed relaxing around the pool area. Ovacik has a relaxing, charming feel to it and had numerous good restaurants and bars within a 5 min walk so we only went into Hisaronu for shopping.People were all very friendly and had numerous offers to tempt you into thr restaurants. A trip to the Dalyan mud baths and rock tombs is a must and we were well attended to by our guide, who became gradually more anxious as the boat's skipper enjoyed his Efes a little more than his guests, however we all thought te more he drank the better his company, particularly when he let our 5 year old drive the boat.We also did the Sunset Cruise with Carole and Tayfun Excurions and this too was an enjoyable evening. We had a wonderful holiday the Villa being a marvellous base surrounded by beautiful mountains, the town easy to reach and providing good food at very reasonable prices and of course hot sun and clear blue skies. I would highly reccomend the property and the town.
