About this property

IN & OUT SKIING - Top Floor Ski Trail Condo, Quiet End Unit, Resort Amenities

This beautifully remodeled end unit, 2nd floor, 2-bedroom condominium is located on the ski trail at Northstar. It's so easy - just put on your skis or snowboard right downstairs in the snow and swoosh your way down to the ticket line (no need to drive to the ski resort or lug your equipment anywhere). The Home Run transport lift, which takes you to the base of the mountain, runs just outside the condo and can be boarded just a short way down the hill. Northstar is about a 10 minute drive to the historic town of Truckee with all its quaint shops and restaurant. Lake Tahoe is a 15 minutes drive and Reno is about 40 minutes away.
UNIT - - The private master bedroom has a king size bed with a luxurious mattress and quality bedding with the full main bathroom just steps away. The loft second bedroom has two queen-sized beds as well as its own half bath. The recently remodeled kitchen is open to the main living space and features a granite breakfast bar, energy efficient appliances (stove top oven, refrigerator,microwave and dishwasher) and all the cooking utensils most chefs could want, including a coffee maker. The large slate-tiled gas fireplace heats the room and houses a flat screen TV above - which has hundreds of channels, including many premium ones. Complimentary washer and dryer are located just outside the front door.
NORTHSTAR VILLAGE AMENITIES - - The Northstar Village is less than a half mile walk away or can be reached via the complimentary free shuttle where you will enjoy popular restaurants (Rubicon Pizza and Mikuni's Japanese Restaurant), cafes (Starbucks), boutiques, the spa, a lawn for frisbee, the APEX Bungee and Rope Challenge, and swimming, tennis and the Fitness Center at the NPOA Recreation Center. Restaurants and other shops surround the free central skating rink.
HIKING - - Hiking enthusiasts can track up the mountain via the 2-mile Martis Trail that begins just behind the NPOA Recreation Center. Alternatively, you can hike down the mountain after taking the life up.
BIKING - - With over 100 miles of trails ranging from novice to professional, Northstar features one of the best mountain biking parks in California. During the summer season, the transport lifts operate full time. The Village has a full-service bike shop where you can rent bikes or repair your flat tire.
TENNIS - - Nestled in the heart of the mountains, the NPOA Tennis Center offers 10 cushioned hard courts in a serene forest setting. Guests are welcome to brush up on their skills, take classes and clinics, compete in tournaments or just play for fun.
GOLF - - Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy Northstar’s 18-hole championship golf course that features a links-style front nine and mountain-style back nine. Their open deck cafe overlooking The Martis Valley Creek serves great burgers and salads.

This was the perfect stay for our family of four. We really love the Ski Trails condos because they are true ski in/ski out -- even in this season with so little snow. The kitchen was well-outfitted and the complex is quiet at night. Very good stay!

Great condo! So nice to ski in and ski out. We appreciate the owner allowing us to check in a couple of hours early. The kitchen is well stocked with bowls, pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. The sofa and blankets were so comfy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the great location of this condo. Being right next to the ski slope and able to ski directly into the condo area at the end of the day was fantastic. The walk down to the village was easy and made for a fun evening. The kitchen is very well equipped, which we really appreciated, and the open living space was perfect for our family with two adult kids. We loved hanging out by the fire, watching TV, and playing cards in the evenings. Overall, a wonderful, comfortable place and we look forward to staying again.

Perfect location and well suited for our family of 4. The loft space upstairs was perfect for our two toddlers with their own washroom. The place is decorated beautifully and the kitchen is well stocked. We loved being right off the ski trail and a short walk down the trail to the village. My communication with the Ramine (Owner) leading up to our arrival was great. Ramine was very helpful with providing me with information for my transport from the airport to Northstar and village recommendations. My only reason for not giving 5 starts is because we were without TV/Cable and access to the ski locker during our stay. I reached out to Jill and Les (Onsite management), they came by and were not able to resolve these issues. Nevertheless, i'm sure the owner will have it resolved by the next guest check-in.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful ski getaway with the family. The unit was very nice with natural lighting due to being a corner unit. Easy contactless check in/out, great proximity to ski in/out on the slopes, comfortable furniture and cozy fireplace, well equipped kitchen with everything we needed including simple pantry staples, laundry room next door and ski locker rooms worked out well. We didn’t use other community amenities. We look forward to coming back next winter!

Better than Expected

This condo is better than the photos with a new couch and two queen beds upstairs. The convenience of this house is so worth it to avoid taking shuttles or walking from the parking lot - you walk a few steps and you're on a groomed run down to the village. Place was very clean with comfortable beds and a very powerful fireplace. Would definitely stay again!!

Fabulous ski-in, ski-out

Clean, well appointed, incredibly-conveniently located ski condo with the perfect combination of beds. A King in the master downstairs and two queens in the loft upstairs makes it perfect for our family. It's so nice to be able to ski down the lift in the morning and come back in for lunch. Great Vacation

Northstar biking trip

It was clean and in a quiet area. It was a little more cramped than expected and my husband hit his shin multiple times on the bed frame/platform that stuck out in the bottom floor bed room since there wasn't much space between the door and the foot of the bed. It was unfortunate that the whole Northstar village was closed and this was not disclosed to us when we booked our visit. And not addressed when I reached out to the owner. But we made a fun weekend out of it we just had to drive to downtown Truckee and Lake Tahoe more than expected in order to get some of our meals.

We have been skiing at Northstar since 1970 and I was thrilled with our decision to purchase a property on the ski trail in 1978.

Why they chose this property

The perfect location - right on the ski trail and close to the Village/NPOA Recreation Center - and completely remodeled and appointed residence with every amenity possible to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. It has been an excellent place for my family to share holidays and other specials times together and will surely do the same for friends and family anywhere.

What makes this property unique

What first attracted us to this condominium was its proximity to the ski trail which means you never again have to drive to a ski resort or lug ski equipment across a parking lot and up the hill. The privacy (top floor end unit of end building at the top of the ski trail) and serene beauty of this cozy space is what made us want to make it mine forever.
