About Dorelle Ackermann
We are retired school teachers from Illinois and have enjoyed skiing in Summit County since the late 1970's. We never tire of biking the beautiful paved biking paths in the summer although the mountain bike trails have humbled us. We especially enjoy the Frisco community where people love the outdoors and remain friendly to tourists.
Dorelle Ackermann purchased this House in 1990
Why Dorelle Ackermann chose Frisco
Summit county is an ideal, year round vacation area. Locals say that tourists come for the skiing and stay for the summers which is exactly what I did. Ski resorts make ideal vacation locations for summers because they have an abundance of lodging so summer rental rates are more reasonable than areas that depend on summer rentals exclusively. If you want to stay active in the 'dog days of summer' the low humidity and temperatures in the 70's are perfect. In addition, ski resorts want summer business so they have music concerts, golfing, mountain biking, hiking to attract visitors.
What makes this House unique
Frisco is centrally located and therefore preferable to staying at a ski resort. This allows you to ski various mountains during your stay and is considerably less expensive. Check the rates at Copper Mountain and you'll see what I mean. In addition, Frisco has the charm of a friendly small town. When I lost my wallet on the paved bike path to Copper Mt., someone found it and placed an ad in the local paper to find me. Numerous local businesses saw it and told me.

Spacious, newly upgraded bathrooms, well equipped kitchen (many size casserole dishes, pots, pans, etc.). Owner is prompt with communication and makes the process of renting very easy. Community is great for walking your dog, which is the other plus of this property, being able to travel with our fur-kids is a benefit. Will be booking for our next winter getaway.
Clean, comfortable, close to downtown Frisco and several ski areas.
The Patio House is large, comfortable and clean. There have been some upgrades since we last stayed there--new living room couches and renovated bathrooms. The owner is very responsive and pleasant to work with. The location is perfect--close to downtown Frisco and ski areas. We have stayed in this house several times and will again.
The house is very nice and has excellent accommodations, for both humans and dogs.
We had an excellent experience with our stay. The house fit our needs perfectly. Our overall experience with the booking and dealings with the owner were great. It was especially easy having dogs that needed to stay with us. We were able to have our dogs stay with us and the dogs loved the fenced in area and the proximity to all of the walking trails. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to all of our friends.
Great Place for Frisco in the Fall!
Our second stay at this Mountain Side home - Very comfortable and a great place to kick back and enjoy the Fall colors and the town of Frisco as well as surrounding Summit County - Very quite neighborhood - A great experience all-around - Ranks right at the top of the many rentals we have visited through the years.
Wonderful Mountain Home
This stay was awesome. The place was as advertised, with plenty of room. The kitchen had every utensil you would need. And it is close to all the outdoor activities you would want. If you want an awesome place to relax after sampling the many activities in and around Frisco, this is the place for you.
The owner responded quickly to each and every one of our inquiries. We certainly had to get some things to make our stay awesome, but since we had to buy food anyway, it was not a problem at all. And we really appreciated that the house had a vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, and laundry facilities.
Come to this house (as you would almost any owner-let place) and treat it like your own. The owners have most definitely put a lot of love and care into the house and it is a very suitable home away from home.
This is definitely what I have come to expect in excellent lodging found on VRBO.
Great, roomy house in convenient location!
The owner was very responsive and considerate to our last-minute request. We stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect. Plenty of room and beds for everyone, in a great neighborhood, and close to town and the resorts. We definitely would consider staying here again.
