Great Place to stay. Good location.

We loved staying at this cozy cottage. Sitting on the screened porch with a morning coffee was a perfect way to start the day. Morning walks along the shore and in the and evenings were so lovely. It is a perfect location for exploring Boothbay, Wiscasset, Rockland, Camden, Damariscotta and Pemaquid Point which we did during our stay. I hope to come back again in the future.

Ocean Point Cottage

This was a great cottage on Ocean Point! The location was perfect, decor was cute, and it had everything you could need. One of my favorite spots was on the screened in porch listening to the waves. Enjoyed the sunsets as well! Hope to return in the future!

Gem on ocean Point

Ship's Wheel is a class Ocean Point Cottage with a great cottage feel but modern and up to date at the same time. We especilly enjoyed the location and ocean views. The kitchen ws large and well equipped and all the technology (TV, wifi) worked wonderfully. All in all, we had a great time and would definitely return.

An unexpected jewel on the coast of Maine

Very comfortable (although a bit chilly in the morning as we did not use the gas heated through the nightime). Nothing was missing, very well furnished. This part of Maine was unknown to us and we have been very pleased to discover it. What a beautiful spot! Thanks for everything!

Ship’s Wheel is the perfect Maine getaway -spectacular view, charming camp, friendly neighbors, community activities.

This camp combines sections from the early 20th century (brick fireplace, original wood floors, windows) with lovely recent additions, all charming, functional, and comfortable. Each of the 2 bedrooms accommodate 2 each with comfortable beds, high quality sheets that make your night’s sleep feel really special, and windows that let you listen to the waves if you like. Bathroom equipped with nice, well functioning fixtures, towels, roomy shower, good lighting. I love the kitchen! It’s bright and cheery, spacious, equipped with nice appliances and everything you need to conveniently cook meals and baked goods. Nice selection of basic spices available. Even better, the view from the kitchen windows is breathtaking. The dining table is off the kitchen, convenient, and easily serves 4. Good for hobbies, game playing too. The pantry/storage area provides extra space to keep your things out of the way. The living area is nice cozy place to relax with comfortable chairs and couch and a working fireplace and a TV. The very best feature of Ship’s Wheel is the porch. Someone complimented it as being a fine farmer’s porch - it covers the front of entire house and extends 8-10 feet from the porch. It is completely screened, has with wicker couches, 2 rockers, and tables. It’s the central gathering place. It’s where we spend all of our time. The view provides all the entertainment you need - lobster boats, sailboats, schooners, birds, walkers, generations of families visiting, regattas, the occasional parade. The camp and location make this a jewel! Pam and the Chill Vacation Rental team make it happen. High standards, experience, consistency, common sense, availability, and pleasing personalities mean that my stays at Ship’s Wheel over the past five years have been a dream. I recommend Ship’s Wheel wholeheartedly.

Special place at Ocean Point

Ship’s Wheel is an amazing cottage with a wonderful view of the water at Ocean Point. It is a lovely, and well-appointed with wonderful linens and a very comfortable bed. The screened-in porch was a wonderful place to sit and visit with family. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed staying at Ship’s Wheel and we will definitely return!!

Beautiful!

This was one of the most relaxing stays we have had anywhere. The cottage has a lovely view of the ocean. The front porch is screened in with a cute sitting area. We had everything we needed (pots, pans, gas grill, etc.) to cook. The reference binder left by the host was very informative with many tips on dining, shopping, beaches, points of interest, etc. Our two children loved the proximity to the ocean and the chance to look for seashells. The beds were clean and comfortable and the coastal decor was adorable. Check-in and check-out couldn’t have been easier. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Great Stay at Boothbay

My wife and I stayed at the lovely "Ship's Wheel" cottage on Ocean Point in East Boothbay. It is a very comfortable, cozy home. The host made everything easy for us. The location can't be beat! Beautiful area to walk and gaze out on Booth Bay. We enjoyed the stroll in the evening to take in the sunset. The town of Boothbay is a great place to shop.

Loved our stay at this home

We stayed here for a week to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary. We were overwhelmingly pleased with this property. The house had everything we needed and was a great way to rest and celebrate. The view from the front porch was breathtaking. The area the property is in was unbelievable scenic and we enjoyed every moment. The owners were there to answer every question we had and provide local info whenever we needed it. If we could, we would return there as often as possible. We strongly recommend and encourage you to stay at this house. you won’t be sorry!!!

Perfect cottage in perfect place

Ocean point is one of my favorite places on earth, and this charming cottage is a real gem. Old fashion beach cottage with all the modern amenities. Cozy and warm on a cool fall day with a wonderful screened in porch for reading or writing. Totally private and quiet, but close to everything you could want or need. I’ll be back next year.

This by far was the best cottage we have ever stayed in Maine. Ocean Point is so beautiful.The view from the front porch was spectacular. Pam the property manager was so helpful. Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The living room is the original cabin and has a lot of rustic charm. The owner is a general contractor who expanded and renovated the cottage over the years to include 2 bedrooms, a large eat-in kitchen and a spacious bathroom. The main living area is uninsulated and the rest of the cottage is insulated.

You'll love the awesome screened-in front porch that features lovely ocean breezes and sits back far enough from the road so that you can check out the action while still having some privacy.

Please note that this is a seasonal cottage and it has no central heat or AC. There is a propane wall heating unit in the kitchen that does a nice job, and we also provide ceramic space heaters.

Please note that we do not supply wood for the wood-burning fireplace. There are bundles available for purchase at Hannaford grocery store and at roadside stands in the area.

All guests are required to electronically sign a rental agreement within 48 hrs of booking. Failure to sign will result in cancellation. The link to sign will be provided here and via email immediately after the booking is confirmed. If you wish to preview it, please let me know and I will forward it to you.
