My husband and I stay in this area every year. We enjoy the slow pace and nature. The bay front place we usually stay at was not available this year, so we found this place that has a large yard for our fur babies. The house was nice and clean and close to everything. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone coming to the area!

Cute, clean, and incredibly convenient! This is our second time staying at this lovely home, and it certainly won’t be our last. The home is spacious, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The owner is wonderful and communicates promptly. It’s the perfect home away from home for our family’s FSU football weekends. We look forward to coming back again!

The house was very clean and very welcoming. It is in a nice neighborhood. We had great communication with the owners and they went out of their way to set the house up so that it is great if you are traveling with your dog like we were. We had a very relaxing stay there. We have already recommended the place to family.

I had a wonderful stay! The home was incredibly welcoming, clean, and spacious — it had everything I needed and more. Alisa was a fantastic host, quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating throughout my stay. One of the sweetest touches was the ball and bowls set out for my fur baby, and there was plenty of space for playtime too. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a pet-friendly space!

The place was so welcoming the minute you walked in the door. The whole house was neat and clean. We usually stay in a hotel but this was the way to go. It was also pet friendly for our little 6 lb. Yorkie. She loved the back yard which was fenced in so she was safe. Our family lives right down the road which was great. We'll be renting it again once or twice a year. It's an amazing place to stay.

Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful review and for the sweet card and special gift you left for me—it truly meant more than you know. We’re so happy to hear the home felt welcoming from the moment you arrived and that you found everything clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly for your sweet Yorkie. Knowing she enjoyed the fenced backyard makes us smile! We’re honored you chose our home over a hotel and would absolutely love to host you once or twice a year (or more!). You’re always welcome back.

This was such a welcoming property! We had our Labrador and there were pet touches everywhere. Not only a goodie bag for us with snacks, but one for our puppy. Had a welcome book with activities, restaurants, & places to visit. Thought of everything you could possibly need. Super clean!! Loved the black & white decor throughout. The backyard was huge and fenced.. could play ball with our pet.. had a fire pit, which because of weather we couldn’t use. Spent a lot of time in the game room with my grandson playing ping pong and darts. Will definitely stay there again! Staying there made our trip so enjoyable.. thank you!!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are so happy you, your grandson, and your Labrador enjoyed your stay at McMahon’s Tail-Waggin’ Retreat. It means so much to hear that the little touches for both our guests and their pups helped make your trip extra special. We’ve tried to create a place that feels welcoming, comfortable, and fun for the whole family — including the four-legged ones! We’re so glad you enjoyed the fenced backyard, game room, welcome goodies, and local guidebook. We hate that the weather didn’t cooperate for the fire pit, but hopefully next time you’ll get to enjoy that too! Thank you again for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We would absolutely love to host you all again in the future. Warm regards, Alisa & Ryan

Love this place!

In Crawfordville to visit family and brought my dog with me. This house was perfect for us! Extremely clean and well maintained. More than dog friendly - dog welcoming! Huge back yard completely fenced. Fun play room in the garage with ping pong table and darts. Close to everything in town. 20 minutes from the beach. Can’t go wrong. Will definitely stay again in the future.

We wish we had brought our dogs because the back yard was so big! They would have loved it! Their son Liam even built us a fire in the pit! We Wish we had time to use it! We stayed at this location while we were visiting family during the Holidays. The home was clean and fully stocked with coffee pods, laundry supplies, towels, and dishwashing accessories - so you did not need to bring any of your own supplies! There were plenty of kitchen items to be able to cook and eat for a larger group if you had it. We are a family of 4 and only had a couple of meals at the house. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe at nighttime. My girls (ages 10 & 12) loved playing ping pong in the game room. There were even doggie goodie-bags, we admired them but did not need them. Alisa makes you feel like family!Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We came up for the football game and didn’t want to stay in the city. This house was the perfect location for us as we also like to visit the Lighthouse, Panacea and Sopchoppy when in the area. It was close to dark when we arrived, I was thankful that the outside light was on. The house was immaculate. I don’t like to wear shoes in a house and was extremely appreciative of the clean floors. There were little extras all throughout the house that made our stay extra special. The backyard is large and has a privacy fence. Although we didn’t use it, there is also a fire pit that would be nice for cooler weather. We would definitely stay here again.
