Family-friendly cabin with beautiful sand beach

Welcome to White Sand Lake Retreat, our favorite escape in Northern Minnesota. Located on a clear, quiet lake this 4-bedroom, family-friendly cabin sits on flat lot with over 100 feet of sandy beachfront.

Nestled in the heart of Lake Country just a 2-hour drive from the Twin Cities, you'll be minutes from the best that the Brainerd Lakes area has to offer, while still feeling away from it all.

Spend the day swimming, boating or fishing right off the dock, or hit up nearby restaurants, golfing, shopping and bike trails before enjoying sunsets from the deck and s’mores around the firepit.

Winter also offers plenty of activity options from ice fishing to ice skating with skiing/tubing options just a short drive away.

SPACE
Our lakefront cabin features nearly 3,000 sq ft of space and sleeps up to 14 ppl, making it perfect for multiple families. Three bedrooms feature queen-sized beds and the fourth bedroom has two twin bunkbeds with twin trundles, offering sleeping for 6. The basement living room also features a full-sized sofa bed and we offer a twin rollaway bed and pack-n-play as additional sleeping options.

There are two main living areas, both equipped with plenty of seating and TVs with access to all of your streaming services. The basement area has a large bar with dart board, wine fridge and foosball table. There also is a large poker table available for use in storage.

The large indoor dining table accommodates up to 10 ppl and opens out to the deck with seating for 6, but more chairs can be added.

Off of the front lawn, we have a private, detached lakefront porch that we adoringly call the “lady lair.” This is the perfect spot for late night games after the kids go to sleep or for relaxing in after a day full of swimming and fun.

AMENITIES
This home includes a fully equipped kitchen with double-oven, microwave and dishwasher and numerous appliances such as a griddle for big family breakfasts and blender. We also have a grill outside.

All bedrooms are equipped with blackout shades, extra linens and dual-purpose sound machine/night lights. There is also a full washer/dryer on-site.

We have a large firepit outdoors available for guest use. We do not supply firewood, but it can be easily purchased at surrounding gas stations.

There is also a kayak, two paddle boards, lake floats and numerous beach toys and yard games available for guests to use, free of charge. We also supply plenty of beach towels.

For those with small children, there also is a pack-n-play and highchair available.

LOCATION
Located in Baxter, MN - a short 2-hour drive from the Twin Cities - our cabin is minutes from restaurants, shops, golfing and other activities.
Conveniently located 6 minutes from Costco, Target, Walmart, Cub Foods, meat and seafood shops, and numerous other stores, restaurants, pharmacies and liquor stores – you can stock up on everything you need for your stay when you arrive.

Enjoy the golf courses and spa amenities at nearby resorts including Madden's, Craguns and Grandview, or shopping, restaurants and breweries in Nisswa, all under a 20-minute drive.

You can also find plenty of family-friendly activities including bowling, mini-golf and go carts within 15 minutes of the cabin. We’re also 5 miles from the Paul Bunyan bike trails.

In the winter, White Sand Lake is also a popular ice fishing destination and we’re a short 15- minute drive from Mount Ski Gull for skiing, snowboarding or tubing options.

*Important* our cabin is located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. Out of respect for our neighbors, parties and large gatherings/events are strictly prohibited. We also ask that you be mindful of loud music during your stay. *Please include a note with your booking that states your reason for booking so we may determine if this is the right spot for you.

Additionally, please be aware that our home is a split level. If anyone in your party has difficulties with stairs, this may not be a good fit.

HOUSE RULES
- No smoking
- No pets allowed
- No events, parties or large gatherings
- Note: your safety matters. We have two security cameras at the house – one that faces the driveaway and one that faces the lakeside entrance. These cameras do not look into any interior spaces and should not be tampered with.
- You must be at least 25 to rent our cabin; renter must be present when checking in otherwise we reserve the right to cancel your reservation.
- If anything in the cabin appears to be out of order or broken, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll happily resolve.
