Within easy reach of the mountains, the Adriatic beaches, and sight-seeing towns
As well as the two bedrooms we have a futon sofa-bed in the terrace room (semi-open to the outside) which is great for teenagers, and a futon mattress suitable for an extra child, which can be placed on the floor in either bedroom. We can also supply a cot for a baby. We prefer not to have more than 4 adults staying because of pressure on facilities, but we can accommodate 5 guests if some of them are children.

About Kirsty Seymour-Ure & John Grain
We first came here 20 years ago on a brief foray, and we loved the area's ruggedness and unpretentiousness, and the fact that we never heard another English voice. The area is a fantastic mix of nature and culture. You can go from hiking in the mountains, to eating ice cream in a village square having just admired a forgotten Renaissance masterpiece in the local church, to swimming in the balmy waters of the Adriatic before treating yourself to a slap-up fish supper - all in the course of a single day, should you have the energy. We're easily accessible now via Ryanair, yet amazingly the area hasn't been overrun or spoilt. Safe, sandy, family beaches are about 50 minutes away, while slightly further the Conero peninsula provides dramatic scenery and quiet coves and beaches to explore. Nearby, our own favourite summer spot, Lake Fiastra, is a great place for a swim and a picnic in a spectacular mountain setting.

Why Kirsty Seymour-Ure & John Grain chose Camerino
People who stay here often tell us that this place feels special -- and to us, it does. It's so quiet and peaceful, truly immersed in the countryside, and it feels like its own little world, with its garden and animals, its woods and paths for exploring, and the endless bright stars at night.
