Ocean and Garden Views. This two bedroom with loft has been remodeled with tile installed from the entrance to the lanai. Tile walk-in shower in downstairs bathroom. Both Bathrooms’ cabinets and counter tops have been recently remodeled. Master bath has tub and shower enclosure. Queen bed in master bedroom, downstairs bedroom has twin beds. The loft has a queen bed. Tropical rattan furniture with Hawaiian prints. Very comfortable condo with lots of extras. Flat screen TV down stairs, TV in upstairs bedroom also.

Very nice condo. Short walk to a park and beach. Easy walking to several stores and restaurants. Well stocked with what we needed. Great view of the ocean and sunsets.

Great stay!

This might seem like a no big deal to some but having amazing cooking pans sure sets up your day for greatness. The kitchen had everything we needed. The closet was jam packed with boogie boards, sand equipment, chairs and more! Close to the pool and beach.

Great stay

This was just what we expected. The house was very clean and well maintained. It was walking distance to the beach. It had a working elevator. We enjoyed the closet of beach equipment. There were 4 beach towels. We loved the location and staying in Kihei was perfect for us to get to all parts of the island. I would recommend!

Perfect size for 3 couples

The loft with the bed in it makes it perfect so no one has to sleep in the living room. Everyone has a space to chill after a day of fun. All of the beds were super comfortable and the place had plenty of equipment including some snorkel gear a boogie board, chairs, ice chests, and some noodles for floating. Three amazing beaches are right across the street. At 5o’clock there are turtles swimming in the water. There are at least three good restaurants and a Hawaiian shaved ice within walking distance as well. Big beach, which is the nicest beach, is about nine minutes drive away. I would totally recommend this place. We were three adult couples.

Great central location

The location of this condo is great. Walkable to many things and central to the whole island. The unit is on the 3rd floor and in the back of the complex. Parking was ample but the complex was not crowded during our stay. The unit was extremely clean! Had what we all needed for our stay. We appreciated the owners working with us on a last minute date change. I will note that during our mid/late August stay the unit was warm upon arrival and took awhile to cool down. I knew there was no central air, once the bedroom a/c units were on and the ceiling fans working full speed, it was pleasant. The closet on patio was stocked with everything you could need, there were ample beach towels and having the washer/dryer was wonderful. There are so many beautiful beaches a short distance away! Not quite the stay we are used to

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The grounds and vibe of Hale Kamaole are what we love and remember from many visits over the years. The rolling grass, the small pools, the palms, the plumeria are all welcoming and enjoyable! The actual unit we stayed in was not up to par with units we have stayed in previously. The unit needed a deep clean all over. The walls and doors had dirt and stains. The edge of the carpet had a layer of dirt that the regular vacuum has been missing for years. The bathrooms had been updated which was nice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our third stay at this property, but our first time in condo unit #340. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to nearby restaurants and directly across from Kamaole Beach III.Building 3 (if I recall correctly) is mostly accessible for individuals with wheelchairs or mobility challenges. It has an elevator that services the 2nd and 3rd floors, though not the entire complex. My sister uses a wheelchair, so the main-floor bedroom with a walk-in shower was absolutely perfect for her needs.The condo itself was ideal for our stay. With two bedrooms, a loft, and two bathrooms—one on the main floor and another in the loft—everyone had plenty of space to unwind. The unit is also well-stocked with essentials such as spices, leftover condiments, tin foil, and plastic wrap from previous guests. We added a few extras that we purchased or brought along as well.The condo is very clean and well-maintained. When our dishwasher stopped working on Friday, it was replaced with a brand-new one by Monday. The onsite staff are incredible!The beds were super comfortable, and both bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and beach towels. A storage closet is packed with beach gear, including chairs, a couple of boogie boards, and tennis rackets. We even bought two new rackets and left them there, as the older ones had seen better days.The BBQ area, equipped with both charcoal briquettes BBQ's you must supply your own briquettes and two propane grills. It’s a great way to meet new people!The pools are also well-maintained and cleaned daily—a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a good book.My only minor complaint is about the high table and chairs on the deck. They’re extremely heavy, made of iron, and not very comfortable for sitting outside. Additionally, the table’s height wasn’t suitable for someone in a wheelchair. Aside from that, this unit is fant

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at Hale Kamaole ever since it was built but I did notice this time that the accommodations and property were looking tired. A lot of things need fixing. Arrived to be greeted by cockroaches running across the kitchen counter then the next day opened kitchen drawers to find a whole infestation. Office kept telling me they would send someone but it took three phone calls and three days until it was finally dealt with. Then the kitchen faucet fell off in our hands. At end of second week one of the upstairs drains as well as downstairs shower were not draining. Phoned office about that too and no one ever came to look at it or repair it. I think when you are staying for four weeks problems should be dealt with better than that. The carpets need replacing as they were so stained and dirty. Although the kitchen had lots of pots and pans there were hardly any dishes. Only four bowls, plates, and side plates. As well only six forks and knives and spoons. Not even enough to get you through a day when you are in a two bedroom apt with four adults. The beds were good and comfortable.On the property its self the pool tiles could use some fixing. It would be nice if property manager would come around the pools and actually enforce some of the pool rules posted. It was so annoying to have adults throwing balls in the pool as well as bringing their childrens huge floaties and way too many noodles! Although we enjoyed our stay as we always do at Hale Kamaole there are things that need to be fixed at this property and certainly when you phone in and say something is not working it needs to be dealt with and not just ignored.

Beware of Bugs

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The accommodations were adequate. We experienced issues with the fan in the kitchen upon arrival. It was making a grinding sound and the fan in the living area was not working. Maintenance was able to fix the kitchen fan and was going to contact the property owner about replacing the other fan - no follow-up was provided by the property manager. In addition, my daughter was bitten by bugs in the loft. We found gray bugs in the bed and also in her suitcase, which was on the loft floor. I contacted the property manager, who, condescendingly responded that the bugs we saw were not bed bugs and I could pay a $150 fee to confirm there were no bed bugs, he then proceeded to "lecture" me about sand fleas. I found his tone and demeanor to be less than customer-service oriented, and frankly, I was put off by his response. In the 12 times we've visited Maui and stayed in various properties, we have never experienced bug bites in our accommodations. On a positive note, toward the end of the conversation, he offered to change the sheets and vacuum the loft while we were out enjoying the island. Consequently, my daughter was scared to sleep in the loft, so for a few nights, she slept on the couch, where she received more bites. Eventually, she and my husband switched beds, and he also received bug bites while he slept in the loft bed. Personally, not being able to sleep with my husband while on vacation was not optimal either. The location of the condo is central - very easy to access the beaches. Some of the the amenities could be updated, such as more variety of kitchen utensils (there are plenty of knives), and the beach gear could be updated/replaced. Perhaps consider asking renters to clean off the equipment after use and before storing so when the next renter comes along, the equipment is in decent and clean (not covered in sand) condition.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay. The condo was stocked with everything we needed for meals and days at the beach. It's not new, but it didn't feel old. And when we had a minor issue with a window screen, maintenance came right away to fix it. The problem was from the previous renters.The property and grounds were kept in perfect condition. It felt safe, comfortable, and enjoyable. The view of the water was great. We also liked that the condo isn't so close to the water that the noise of the crashing waves would bother you. It was peaceful and beautiful. There were a lot of active seniors staying here, which created a safe and peaceful environment.The pickleball courts were a fun surprise. We played some games and enjoyed watching the seniors play.Next to a beautiful beach and green sunrise watching areas. Close access to Wailea shopping and walking trails.The only downside was that parking could be a little tough if you return late at night. In other words, you probably couldn't find a parking spot immediately in front of the condo. But in a big hotel, you have the same issue, so this wasn't a major concern. We hope to return to this location if we return to Maui.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed her during our vacation while visiting Maui. Overall the condo was a nice place to stay with plenary of room. Our only complaint is that we weren’t made aware of the extensive construction that was occurring on the main road and at one of the entrances during our time of stay. This did create some noise issues and excessive dirt and debris during the day but mostly confusion and time inconveniences to entering the property. Otherwise a nice place to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was perfect for us, my husband and myself, and our son, his wife and 2 kids. Close to the beach, I did leave a list of deficiencies in the unit on the counter, which hopefully didn’t get thrown out by the cleaning staff. I itemized everything in the list. We have stayed at the Hale Kamaole multiple times, all in different units, so check for my list, because we have moved on to an oceanfront condo and I don’t remember everything on the list....
