Not worth it

The house was superficially cleaned needed a heavy clean. No parking due to a uhaul in our indicated space. I shouldn’t have to try to find street parking when I’m paying to stay there. Hot water lasted 2 seconds if more than one shower was on at the same time. Towels were so old and scratched.

To begin, I’m always skeptical about properties that don’t have reviews, however I wanted to give this property a chance (big mistake). The photos on VRBO made the property appear neat and clean. We arrived, there was a lease sign posted on the lawn, apparently they may be trying to lease the unit and listing as a VRBO.Once in the property, it smelled and it appeared as if no one had been there in months. The walls and doors were filthy, the kitchen blinds were dirty and appeared to be mold on the top. The bedroom blinds were broken, cracked tiles on the kitchen floor. Dead ants in the bathroom, and fireplace, also mosquitoes on the curtains.We were instructed to park right in front of the gate, however a U-Haul truck was parked there. The property was not fit to be rented until a deep cleaning was done on the entire unit. The showers were full of hair and even on the walls, also dry urine spots on one of the toilets! The backyard area was like a junkyard the picture shown was on a he site was completely clear of debris.We left the host a message, after no response we reached out to VRBO regarding our concerns as I had my small grandchildren with me and it was not sanitary for us and I stay. We had to find a hotel in the middle of the night and thank God we did we were out! Worst experience ever, be cautious of scams!
