Although the view and access to Lake Norman is great, the kid- friendly large house is very dated with exterior areas covered in spider webs. Daily electrical issues with interior-lights blinking and strobing when turned on. expected a higher level of cleanliness and repairs completed ex. water toys cleaned, tubs and sinks repaired and available for use, hot tubs repaired ( even though not indicated as available in listing). Simple items such as shampoo & soap and fry pans for basic breakfast or meal prep would have been appreciated .The rental costs and cleaning fees are overpriced for the value.

Great family vacation spot

We had a wonderful time and the house and location was perfect for our family get together! The host was easy to communicate with and when we had questions he was always punctual and very accommodating. We highly recommend this property and would stay there again!

Beautiful lake home with lots of amenities

We had the best time in this lake house. We loved that the house was right on the main lake, jump in ready! The house was very clean, the owner made sure everything was perfect, even had fresh flowers in certain rooms. The house had a fun game room that we used every night and tons of water toys that we also used every day. There were enough beds for 2 families, 9 total adults and the beds were comfy. Would definitely recommend!

From MN to NC for family fun.

We had a blast playing badminton, ping pong, and throwing the football around in the spacious yard. In the evenings, the game room became our favorite spot for playing pool, cards, and enjoying the arcade. With a similar arcade setup at home, the kids loved breaking all the high scores. One minor issue was the Wi-Fi, which was spotty depending on the location in the house; at times even surprised to see we somehow became disconnected; Again, minor. The main living area featured the home's only TV with basic cable, provided the perfect setting for movie nights after dark. Our 92-year-old mother enjoyed watching her shows during the day, avoiding the scorching heat. The master suite with a walk-in shower was perfect for her needs. She uses a walker, and having everything on one level made it convenient for her. The other rooms were Percy as well with plenty of linens, bath and beach towels for all. Renting a pontoon for a couple days from Buckeye Rental was seamless. We spent our days floating, swimming, and relaxing near the shore. We also purchased a four-person floating tube for the adults, which we left behind for the next renters to enjoy. I do recommend water shoes as the lake bottom at the shores edge was pretty rocky in spots. Check-in and check-out were flawless, making our stay hassle-free. We love Lake Norman, and this home was perfect for our family to spend a comfortable six nights. We highly recommend this rental for anyone looking for spacious fun!

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time at this home. It was clean and the home offered something for everyone. The children as well as the adults enjoyed fun in the lake as well as in the home. We will be back for sure!

Lakefront getaway

This house is everything it’s advertised to be. Check in was easy. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The lake was amazing and the house was stocked with plenty of rafts to float on, paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe. We will definitely stay here again. If your looking to have a true family vacation this is the place to do it.

Wonderful

We love staying here. This home has everything you would ever need to have a relaxing and enjoyable time on the lake. If there was ever a problem, property manager replied to questions or concerns within 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend this gorgeous house to any family.

Family memories made at Willow Point

Wow! The view is spectacular! The amenities are outstanding! Our four grandchildren, ages 5-11, had a blast at the dock playing with all the water toys! Then in the evening, they played lots of ping pong and arcade games while the adults played pool. The fire pit was an added bonus! We all fished off the dock and from our rented pontoon. All of the beds were very comfortable ! The bunk room was a hit with the grands! We arrived with fresh flowers on the table! So special! Thank you for the privilege of renting your wonderful home. We hope to rent again next summer!!!!

Love the house

This house was by far the best house we have ever stayed in. The property is beautiful, the house is amazing. Has everything you need. We didnt need to leave the house once besides to get ice. Very spacious and definitely family oriented. I love that there was only one tv where the family could gather and a bunch of seating for the family to hang out. The ONLY thing i would recommend is having a broom. We would vacuum up crumbs and the vacuum didnt suck everything up. Other than that, we have zero complaints. The owners were very responsive and super sweet. They answered all of our questions and were very welcoming. We will be coming back for sure.

Wonderful Family Weekend

We absolutely loved staying here - the house was everything we needed and MORE! The host were GREAT! We would recommend this home to anyone looking to stay on Lake Norman. We will definitely be staying here again if the timing works out for our visit to Lake Norman

Family time

Enjoyed this property. Lots of amenities inside and out. Unfortunately the weather turned cooler so we didn’t get to fully enjoy the outdoors as much as we would have liked but house was big enough that we never felt cramped. Views are amazing from every room. Nice to have some toys for the kiddos too. Responsive owner. Would love to stay again!

FANTASTIC!

Wonderful house. Roomie, many great activities. The lake is wide here and has lots of room for kayak, canoe, etc. Great swimming. It could not have been better.

3rd Annual Family Vacation

The Willow Point home exceeded our expectations in so many ways! There was plenty of room for our group of 8. We loved the huge dining/kitchen table where we ate all meals together, the kitchen was large, well stocked and the walk-in pantry was a bonus. Our daylight hours were spent on the dock and in the water. Having the use of the floats and rafts was great! Each evening, we played games, watched TV and enjoyed many rounds of pool in the Game Room. We hope to return next year!

Amazing family vacation home

This property had all the items needed to make a great family vacation. Space, activities and equipment (multiple paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, etc.) to play on the water. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. Would stay here again.

Excellent home for extended family vacation!

The home was so comfortable and thoughtfully set up for large family gatherings. Plenty of great spots to gather and sit. The property is also well equipped with everything you could need at the lake - hammocks, kayaks, paddle boards, floating docks, floats, badminton, etc. All of the beds were also really comfortable mattresses- rare for a rental, but so appreciated for a week long stay!

We were a group of 3 families. The house is located on the lake, quiet, you can fish and just enjoy your vacation. The house is large, cozy, clean, has everything for a comfortable stay. I will recommend to friends and maybe we will return there again

Mothers memorial service & Family Fun

We held my mother’s year anniversary memorial service at the lake. The house was perfect, several family members stayed at the house and other family members live in the area. We set up a memorial table in the house and released balloon by the lake at sunset, it was breathtaking. My mother loved it when family got together, so we did enjoy the rest of the time. Plenty of activities, pool table, ping-pong, video game, board games, cards, and water toys galore, they all got used. We will be booking again in the future. The pictures do not do the house justice, it is lovely.

Our family found our way to this property at a point in our lives when a haven was much needed. We endured a hard medical battle and we're blessed to stay on Lake Norman during a much needed getaway. The week we spent on the lovely Lake Norman made a huge impact, leaving us feeling refreshed. A place can't heal you, but being surrounded by the ones you love in a relaxing home on a picturesque serene lake can do much for the spirit and the soul. So, we kept going back staying in different homes a few more times. Those few weeks that blessed us led us to buy our own lakefront property. It is our purpose in this home to be able to give to others the vacation memories that have so blessed us.
