We had a wonderful time staying in Galveston at this house. It was clean and had everything we needed. The owner and her team made sure all was perfect. We enjoyed the Pointe West pools as well. Great location, beautiful beach view and a nice place for a group getaway.

We have stayed at this property many times and it is always a nice time. The views are stunning and the breeze crosses through the porches due to the perfect angle of the property. The house is lovely and well kept, with plenty of space and amenities for a family. A consistently reliable place to enjoy your Pointe West vacation.

Great location

Plenty of comfy sleeping quarters and bathrooms. Beach closet well-stocked. Owners very responsive when keyless entry did not work due to a recent storm. Proximity to boardwalk and access to beach club amenities were a plus. Well-stocked kitchen and game closet. Negatives: stairs on the beach end of boardwalk made wagon travel difficult, no window coverings on main floor led to it getting hot midday, and we could have used a few more bath and kitchen towels. We would stay here again!

I've stayed at Point West several times and this house is by far my favorite! Great location with amazing ocean views. It had everything we could possibly need and then some. I had family staying in other properties and we all agreed that this property was the favorite!

Wonderful beach house!

Our multigenerational family visited in April for our kids’ spring break. The weather was perfect: not too hot during the day and not too cold at night. The bugs were never an issue but there was plenty of bug spray as well as citronella candles. The toy cabinet for the beach was well stocked: tons of beach toys, boogie boards, chairs and the wagon to haul it all. There were even two kites that the kids loved! The grill is now propane, not charcoal. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cook ware, plates, glasses, etc. but there was no storage options like Tupperware/Saran wrap/tinfoil. We ended up getting some of that at the small grocery up the road, which had plenty of dry goods (Seven Seas market at the Chevron station, very well stocked in general but obviously more pricey than Kroger’s/Walmart). We picked this house for the 4 bathrooms for each family, which was great, but also because of the bedroom/bathroom on the main floor, as the older generation has some mobility issues. The one thing that is helpful to know is that the kids bunk room is the bedroom on the main floor, not upstairs with the other bedrooms. So the grandparents slept in the bottom bunk beds and we pulled the mattresses from the top bunks upstairs for the kids to sleep on the floor of the master bedroom suite (plenty of room in that room for kids on the floor). The kids loved “camping” on the floor, but a suggestion for the owners would be to have one of the bedrooms upstairs become the kids bunk room as our kids wouldn’t have slept downstairs alone even if the grandparents could get upstairs to the bedrooms. We loved having the laundry upstairs at the bedroom level, and there is detergent there too! We rented a golf cart, which was really helpful getting to the two pool areas and the Pointe West beach club rents bikes by the hour. The game room at the club rents out the fooseball, Ping pong and pool balls/cues so you can only play those games when the club is open (mostly 9-5). Overall, we loved our stay at this relaxing community in this very well appointed home, would rent again when we return!

My 43rd birthday weekend

This house was perfect for our birthday staycation! The kitchen had all the dishes and utensils I needed. I loved the dual Keurig. There was quite a bit of pantry essentials. Lots of board games and stuff for young kids. I think the teenagers said there was a gaming console in their room. There was plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Even baby items: high chair and play pens. I’m so glad there was plenty of beach towels, because somehow we all forgot ours. Oh… The beach closet is packed with beach toys, wagon, canopy, kites, chairs, balls… The master bedroom and living-room area pretty cool throughout the day and night. The rooms that get hot due to closed doors do have an extra fan tower. I even took extra fans just in case, and they forgot to use them. So they were hot because they didn’t try to make it better by opening doors or adding fans. I have circulation issues at my own house, it is what it is. The beach bridge is about 6 houses down to the right. And we had to carry the wagon up the steps of the boardwalk, but it was not very difficult. We had a great time and absolutely loved the house.

Fantastic vacation

Went down for Mothers Day with our daughters and their families - 10 of us in all. Plenty of room for everyone and great outdoor space for kids to play and adults to visit. The house was super clean and well stocked for people of all ages. We would definitely stay here again!!

College Reunion

Traveled with 8 friends for a long weekend. The house was great! Perfect space for a our group. And the 4 bathrooms were a plus. The view was amazing; decor cute and comfortable. Places to unpack🙌❤️ short walk to the boardwalk and 1/2 a mile to the Beach Club, which was a huge bonus. We spent most of our time there and at the lazy river! The house has all you need(including beach towels), so pack your bathing suit and enjoy!

Awesome floor plan for families

Pros: well stocked, amenities, location, space, balconies, beds Cons: AC was good at night, but struggled to keep up during the heat of the day- management was forthcoming and accommodating on that issue on day of check in. It was tolerable overall. Also, there were many ants on all the levels of the house. Could be due to the abnormal weather pattern and rain at that time.

Exceptional!

Excellent variety of kitchen dishes, cookware, and appliances … and more than enough place settings, cups, glasses, etc. Many rentals just have “enough” - this rental far exceeded the normal, which is nice for a big family! Same regarding linens - over abundance of comfy blankets, pillows, towels, beach towels, etc. All the beds were very comfortable. Lots of closets, dressers, etc. This was a very practical beach house - it had everything one could think of or want. Wonderful variety of games and puzzles! I really appreciated the comfortable and ample seating in the living area … many rentals have the uncomfortable wood-framed furniture with removable pillows and even though they have beds for a large number of guests, they don’t provide the seating for everyone to be together in the gathering spaces … especially the living room and oftentimes the dining as well. This rental gets an A+ for ample, comfortable seating and spaces! The only issues we had was a small hiccup with the a/c the first night - after that it was as cool as anyone could’ve wanted for the rest of the time. We did receive a half-day refund for the inconvenience as well as supper that first night via evolve. We didn’t realize the beach supplies weren’t locked up - the door has a code on it but wasn’t locked I guess, but we didn’t contact the owner which we could have and she was always quick to respond to any concerns/questions… I did figure eventually it was accessible after reading over the info again, but we didn’t use anything there and it was somewhat of a mess … the grill wasn’t clean, but could’ve easily been cleaned … we didn’t use it. We had the beach all to ourselves most of the time and it was an easy few minutes’ walk. We were the only ones at the lazy river/pool, etc. on the bay side - which was entirely awesome! The infinity pool area was nice. The beach club gift shop lady was super sweet and had a great selection of things. We did run out of trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels… we brought extra as a review previously also mentioned some of those things. Everything else though was over and above any expectations! Wonderful home at a wonderful location! Definitely recommend - especially with kids of various ages…I had my mom with me, as well as 5 of my kids ages 12-22…we all loved it! Thank you!

Even Better Than Expected

We booked this property for a last end of summer getaway for my sisters and our families. We had people in their 50s, 30s, 20s, and a 3 year old and 6 month old. Having a bathroom for every bedroom was a game changer! The house was well decorated and clean and lived up to the photos. One of the BEST features was having access (for a one-time $15 fee for each person) to the resort pool, restaurant, rooftop bar, and workout facility! It really took this whole experience up a notch!

Summer family vacation

We absolutely loved our experience with this property! We had 6 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 child, and two toddlers in our group and we all had plenty of room to be comfortable. We really enjoyed cooking out downstairs and eating at the picnic tables while the kids ran around. The house had everything we needed and was very clean!! The owner was amazing about answering any questions or concerns. The beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. My only complaint was running out of toilet paper the night before we left. But I would definitely recommend this property to any family wanting a relaxing stay on the beach!!

Great house in Pointe West!

We really were glad to have this house, and it was perfect for staying with one other family. Having the Pointe West access is amazing. Things for others to know - the mosquitos were crazy bad, like kind of insane dive bombing and getting in the car. I hope they can spray for them to reduce some. The beds are mediocre at best, so if having nice mattresses is important to you I wouldn't recommend. There was an a/c problem upstairs that seemed to be part of a longer term issue, but they were amazing at communicating, got someone out the next day and compensated us well, and hopefully will be fully fixed for all future stays. The shared bonuses were a little hit or miss, but we appreciated what we had. At the time of our stay there was no wagon. Overall, I'd recommend because it hits the mark and is in Pointe West, but definitely wouldn't call it luxe.

Air conditioning only worked one night

The AC only worked one of the three nights. Because it was so hot inside the house, the two families had to leave the last evening which pretty much ruined our annual family vacation. Was sad and really disappointed.

More than we could have asked for!

We were so excited upon arrival at our Galveston house! While unloading groceries, it was apparent that the shelves were stocked with AMPLE serving dishes, cutlery, plates and bowls and everything was SO CLEAN. There were even supplies left from previous renters (like foil, plastic bags, lighters, seasonings etc) that were really a blessing. We cooked several times and it was a snap! Cleaning supplies and everything were included as well. We only had to bring trash bags. We did loads of laundry and were able to stay up on the towels, since the beach is only about a 4 minute walk away. We really enjoyed our beach time and made use of our wristbands at the clubhouse for 2 full days! Even though it was only 57 degrees on our last day, we were able to play in the hot tub and the game room in the club house and had a blast! The view is awesome from both the house and the clubhouse. It was a quiet neighborhood, especially during the weekend as during the week, there was construction going on nearby. It didn't bother us though! We also enjoyed the closet full of games and got to try out a few we had never experienced! The outdoor shower and beach stroller were amazing amenities and we were thankful for all the beach toys that were there so we didn't have to buy our own! We were able to eat out each night as the restaurants were only 10-20 minutes away from the house. The porch outside the kitchen and living room was a real treat...we had coffee and visited out there every day! We really had a wonderful time and were sad to leave when we did! The local contact had awesome communication with us and answered many questions before our arrival! Such a blessing! Thank you for a great stay!
