Sean was a very kind host, a mix up happened with my booking and he fixed everything right away and was very accommodating and gave me plenty of recommendations. The area is beautiful, close to many hiking and skiing trails. The town is very small and quiet, the perfect escape. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the listing is very accurate.

DO NOT GO HERE! Horribly lumpy, beds... Sofa bed from the 80s was even worse... HEAVY smoke smell... Sketchy shower... And most important: a woman who apparently lives downstairs (no mention in the listing that this rental is UPstairs), began loudly and obnoxiously complaining on the phone beneath us in the morning after our only night in this nasty, smoky place... YELLING loud enough to make sure we heard her: about the 2 cars in her driveway (we parked on the left as instructed), about the age of our dog (she's 12 and had a hard time with the stairs we didn't know about), about the noise we were making at 5am (the dogs had to go out at 6 not 5, so we stayed up and had coffee, then listened to this call), about the WRATH we were going to feel if we didn't put certain things back where they belong (we moved lawn chairs and table into the shade the evening before), as well as loudly complaining about various other aspects of her life and how much she hoped we would leave soon. We packed and left immediately after this. I wrote to the host explaining and requested a refund for the second night but received no reply. A bear had apparently knocked over the already filthy grill we used the night before (hence the WRATH threat), so we picked everything up and left it as found. Never felt so unwelcome in a place I paid to stay in.

Older, rustic property but clean and comfortable. It is an upstairs apartment with kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms , and a bathroom. Walking distance to dining and gas station/ convenience store. One concern we had was that the only access was a steep staircase. We could deal with it but this should be mentioned so handicapped renters would know.

Roomy clean and comfortable. I had to change dates and was not able to reach host, so had to deal with Verbo which was thoroughly uncoordinated and only worked it out in a Hail Mary. . Would help if host could empty voice mail box. Otherwise the facility was very nice.

This is kind of like staying in a cabin. It is rustic. Very cleanfor an old building. If you look at the pictures it is what it is along with the price. The biggest draw back for us is it reeks from smoke. Whether it's from long time smokers living there or people who live downstairs, I don't know. They don't allow smoking now but it really needs an ozone machine. I hate writing a bad review but you need to look closely at the pictures. It was a convenience for us to stay in that location which is right downtown.

The apartment was very"rustic". I think the owner really cares and is doing the best they can. However, it was not what I anticipated or hoped for.There is a very strong cigarette smell as you enter the house and we smelled it again when we went to bed. From the front door, you go up a flight of stairs to a sliding wooden door. Down the hall to the left is the kitchen which seemed well stocked. But the kitchen was very dated. (Kind of like visiting Great Aunt Sarah's house). To the right you will find two bedrooms and a living room. There did not seem to be any central heating. There was a large furnace in the living room and an electric stove in the bedroom. One of the bedrooms had a single bed. Someone had clearly been sleeping in it. I contacted the owner and he told me no one had been there for three weeks. (We locked the doors and set up booby traps with our shoes in case someone tried to join us...). That room led into a bathroom which also connected with the main bedroom. That bed was very old. It was a double, but every time one moved the bed rolled. It was terribly uncomfortable. Needless to say, between the bed and our concern that someone would be joining us, we had very little sleep. I don't wish to be unkind, but I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place.

This property is very dated with a bathroom that is only suitable for two people. It absolutely stank of cigarette smoke! Noisy people down below! We are glad we were only staying one night, would we come back, no!

We spent one night mid week to do some hiking in the area. It was a good space for us to crash for the night (with our dogs) It looks just like the pictures and was clean. The big drawback is the very strong old stale cigarette smell. Other than that it was perfect for our needs.
