Total renovation recently completed by HGTV for an upcoming episode! La Pirata was selected for its beauty, history, potential and mostly the ideal oceanside location with open water views. No expense spared to renovate this beautifully landscaped seaside, Keys-style open floor plan home in Little Venice and the newest addition to the home is a fabulous custom 12' x 8' pool on the edge of the dock overlooking the canal and ocean beyond. Sit and relax on the built in bench at the back of the pool or perch on the bar stools at the granite bar dockside and check out the water views and activity in style!

Kitchen features Quartz countertops, shaker cabinets, Italian art-tile backsplash, Samsung stainless steel appliances, a huge island and endless counter space. Massive impact sliding glass doors provide water views from the living area, which is just steps from the water. Top-of-the-line bathrooms feature more Italian tile work, Tuscan oil-rubbed bronze hardware and floating double-faucet vanities. Home is ideally located for your next vacation. Just one lot in from open ocean, for some of the best possible boating access, and fishing right from the 60-foot concrete dock. With Sombrero Reef just offshore and Vaca Cut right around the corner for quick access to the Gulf, this spot has it all.

Three bedrooms comfortably accommodate six people. The seamless, open floor plan kitchen and living areas provide ample room for relaxing after a day of fun. The professionally equipped kitchen is a smooth extension of the living area and offers an island bar along with a wrap-around counter with more bar seating. The open social layout allows the cook to be part of the action, without feeling crowded. A 55-inch Samsung LED wall-mounted HDTV can be viewed from both the living area and kitchen.

The master bedroom offers a comfy pillow-top king-size bed with a hall bath. The second bedroom has it's own lovely en-suite bath and a full bed with twin bunk over head. The third bedroom is off the kitchen area with a queen bed, a great little hide-a-way with a wall of windows for an open feel and another wall-mounted Samsung flat screen TV. A professional foosball table is opposite the alcove and offers family fun and after dinner challenge matches!

The home has a waterside catch and cook station with a large stainless steel grill and over-sized fish cleaning table. A concrete table with benches is on the seawall for lunch with a view. The entry patio also has a bistro style table and chairs under cover for shade...many outdoor dining options to suit any preference! The property can accommodate a boat-trailer, plus parking for two cars on-site. Thanks to the central location, the beach, restaurants, and amenities of Key Colony Beach are just a short drive or paddle away. Two complimentary 3-person kayaks are available for guest use.

Dogs are considered and if approved there will be a $125 pet fee plus tax.

Excellent Choice for Vacation

Super nice place, very handy location to everywhere, ample dock space for a rental boat, nice view, manatees, birds and other wildlife. Kayaks were fun, paddled out to the sand bar. Top of the line appliances and BBQ, comfy beds. We caught close to 20 fish and enjoyed the cleaning station, and the fish! We would surely rent again.

The perfect getaway!!

What a perfect home in the most ideal location. I have stayed there several times both with family and friends. From the beautiful décor of the home to a fresh fish dinner outside after a day at sea, this home is everything you could ever dream for. The owners, Christian and Dana, are wonderfully gracious people that truly captured the essence of the Keys with this most comforting home. There was plenty of room to accommodate all guests and their cars, including the modern amenities we are accustomed to such as cable and wifi. The proximity to Key West just made it that much more appealing, with us able to drive down for a full day or just a nice meal. This house is kept impeccable on the quaintest island in Marathon. If you are traveling to the Keys, you will be very pleased with your choice to stay here!

Absolutely Perfect vacation Home

Where do I start? From the breathtaking views of the ocean to the inviting decor and comfortable beds...this home has everything you need and more! The kids enjoyed waking up every morning to start the day fishing off the back seawall. Whether you want to enjoy meals in the fully equipped kitchen or in the backyard overlooking the water, you will never want to leave this home. The location is perfect within a mile to parks and beaches and not too far from Key West. We enjoyed dinner at the Sunset Grill which is just a short drive away. The kids enjoyed snokeling at Bahia Honda State Park. We can go on and on about all the fun we had.

Thank you Dana and Christian for opening up your home for us all the enjoy. We will definitely be back each year.

Two Months Isn't Enough...even better than the pictures!

What a wonderful two months. Your home is BEAUTIFUL! Location...great! Decor...outstanding! Amenities and everything we needed...super! Not to mention iguanas, pelicans, herons and the manatee. Oh, and the pineapple doubled in size!

Great proximity to Islamorda and Key West. And Sombrero beach was beautiful. Can't forget the many wonderful restaurants. And your neighbors are so helpful. Got fish every time out. So many different kinds. And then there were those fish??? Didn't have a clue!!

Our only regret if there is a regret--so many happy hours, so little time. Thanks again!

Luxury Fisherman's Paradise, Amazing Ocean View and Access!

This house has everything you need and is just perfect. And what a location--close to everything, with immediate ocean access. House is at the end of the street and there is plenty of parking. Outside you notice the beautiful landscaping, great dockage and authentic nautical relics. Inside the house is well decorated and equipped, with an awesome kitchen, deep-freeze, hi-def TV with DirectTV and WiFi, great floorplan with plenty of space, and most importantly incredibly comfortable beds. The catch and cook station outside is as good as it gets and we even saw tarpon and manatee stroll by the dock! House has two 3 person kayaks to explore the flats and beaches. Great place to come home to after a big day on the water.
