Cooper Family Lake House

Swing from one of the huge live oak shade trees and enjoy a fresh lake breeze or drop a line in the water off the fishing pier. 2BR/2BA brick lakehouse on over 2 waterfront acres with a covered boat dock/fishing pier with electrical outlets for charging your boat, a small john boat is also available for use.
We are pet friendly.
Frying all those fish you caught is no problem! We have a fryer available to all renters.
We also have a charcoal/gas pit grill combo available located off the back porch! Picnic table sitting under the huge oak trees.
There is also a wood fire pit near the water that is perfect for weenie roasts and s'mores with the family! All-in-all a perfect weekend or week-long getaway!

We loved the Cooper house. Everything was perfect. My family had a blast. We stayed 7 nights. We caught a good bit of fish and really enjoyed sitting on the dock drinking our coffee in the mornings. My son loved the Jon boat that was available to use. It was so peaceful. The house was very clean and well stocked. We definitely will be staying again.

Check in/out was very simple, House was very accommodating and clean. Nice place to relax and get away!! Only thing was ice machine that was stated was there was not working. Overall would definitely recommend and rent again!!

Great location and well equipped.

The property is in a good location right on the lake. And the kitchen was well equipped and large. The place was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.

I had emailed host asking about key or door code the day before our stay- no response. Upon arrival, I had to call for door code and wait for return call. Grass was high- host said could not mow due to excessive rain. House was clean and is close to water with great dock. The property could be so nice if it was given some TLC in the yard- mowing, trim lower limbs, etc. Be sure to bring your own trash bags as none are supplied.

We had a wonderful stay at the Cooper Family Lake House in Milam, TX. The property is well cared for, the location is beautiful, and the setting feels peaceful and tucked away at the end of a quiet finger of the lake.The huge trees around the property are gorgeous, and we really enjoyed the lake views and wildlife. We did not see any alligators, but we did see a turtle and tons of fish. This is an especially great spot for fishing, and the property is set up so well for that to be the focus of your stay while still leaving plenty of room to relax and enjoy the lake. There are also two outdoor tables, including a picnic table, as well as a firepit, which made the outdoor space even more inviting.We also appreciated that pets are welcome and were glad to bring our girl with us. For other pet owners, it is helpful to know the property is not fenced, so your pet will need good recall or should stay on a leash.Overall, this is a peaceful, scenic, and well-tended lake house that is perfect for a fishing getaway or a relaxing stay by the water. We would happily recommend it.

We want to share our family lake home with you as we do not live here all the time. We want to allow folks the benefits we enjoy at our lakehouse and it not just sit empty. We love this home and its quiet beautiful waterside views.

Easy to access on black top road, nice sized, family and pet friendly, large nice yard, covered boat dock/fishing pier where you can catch crappie/white perch with a minnow and cane pole! Early morning with the mist coming off the water is as good as it gets... You can drink your coffee while watching the bass hit the top of the water and the ducks swim by or the deer across the way and maybe you'll catch a glimpse of a red fox. Boasting a flat walk to the dock from house is always a plus.

Great mid-lake location, easy to access, just walk out your back door and get in your boat and go fish or ride or whatever. Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We are located in the Patroon Creek area, mid-lake and right next to Holly Park Marina. Fishing is great in Patroon and everyone around is nice and helpful.
