Esta pequeña casa de piedra marrón, disponible durante todo el año, con tarifa reducida fuera de temporada, es perfecta para una pareja o un individuo (ver fotos, también puede alojar a niños pequeños). Si desea una verdadera ciudad griega que no sea una ciudad turística, sino que esté a solo quince minutos en coche de la popular Lindos, y a solo cinco minutos en coche de la playa de Stegna y la playa de Tsampika, este lugar es ideal. La ciudad de Archangelos cuenta con supermercados bien surtidos y sorprendentes tiendas de frutas y verduras, de alimentos y tiendas especializadas para computadoras y teléfonos, y otros servicios, alquiler de autos y agencia de viajes, y servicios médicos completos, farmacias, restaurantes y giroscopios y souvlaki. lugares, a poca distancia de la casa, que se encuentra en la ladera de la colina al lado de la acrópolis / castillo, con vistas a la ciudad. El vecindario es tranquilo y la casa está escondida en un rincón privado bajo viñas y enclavada en un jardín en terrazas. Las ruinas del castillo / acrópolis están a pocos pasos, y contiene la pequeña iglesia de San Jorge y tiene una vista impresionante del mar, las montañas y la ciudad, y generalmente está desierta, no hay turistas. Monasterio Tsampika se encuentra a cinco minutos en coche o poco menos de media hora a pie. En la playa de Stegna hay varias tabernas de primera categoría con mariscos tradicionales y otros platos griegos. La ubicación del pueblo en la costa este a mitad de la isla es conveniente para hacer turismo en automóvil o autobús alrededor de nuestra encantadora isla. La casa tenía WIFI y aire acondicionado, y para estancias de invierno, calor y un hermoso hogar de piedra.

Exquisitely serene garden patio with a view of the Archangelos Castle. The place was perfect and the city quaint (be ready to drive up some tight roads), but the real highlights were the hosts. Jessie, Stella and Acosta made us feel so at home, even helping us find ceramics shops they’d worked with in the past when they heard I was a potter. Exceeding hospitality we were sad to leave. I’ll be recommending their listing to any of my friends traveling to Greece!

We walked to Ancient Archangelos right out the back of the home. The hosts were friendly. We enjoyed Stegna Beach which is very nearby.

The prettiest garden of Arhangelos

We absolutely loved our stay at Stella, Constantinos and Tharreni's place. The garden is the best feature, but we also loved the cosiness of the house and the lovely views it offers! We were lucky to have befriended the neighbour's kittens who entertained us to no end. The hosts were lovely and discreet and made an effort to leave us a little sign of attention every day. We absolutely recommended the place as it is certainly very special. We will surely be coming back!

What an absolutely lovely, traditional place to stay on Rhodes with a beautiful garden to sit out in, which we took advantage of particularly in the mornings.Stella and Constantinos who live in the property in front of the little house were very friendly people who respected our space but were there if needed. Their friend Thelleni, who speaks English, was our main contact and very happy to support with any questions or information during our stay as well as meeting us to show us the location of the property Where the little house was situated made us feel like part of the community and was a very short walk from the town and its good facilities. Although we hired a car for the duration of our stay (which we could safely park outside the property), it is an easy walk to the main bus route for the island. An extra plus was having a washing machine and line which meant we didn't have to take as many clothes with us.We would have no reservations about staying again.

Great Holiday on Rhodes

We had a great holiday on Rhodes. Archangelos is a very good place to stay; it is an ordinary Greek town with almost no tourists and no so-called tourist attractions but it does have plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Stegna beach is only a 10 minute drive from the house and it is one of the quietest and prettiest beaches that we found. The old town of Rhodes is only about 40 minutes away by car. The house is small but very comfortable for two and the garden is even better than the website photos suggest. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

A wonderful stay with warm-hearted hosts

I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation in Archangelos, Rhodes – not least because of the lovely accommodation and the exceptionally friendly hosts. The location was perfect for me: centrally situated in the village yet pleasantly quiet, ideal for relaxing and exploring the island.The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything I needed – even a washing machine, which I found very convenient. I especially loved the beautifully maintained garden, which had a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere.From the very beginning, the contact with the hosts, Stella and Kostas, was warm and personal. I felt welcome right away. Thanks to the interpreter Jessie, who was also incredibly kind, communication was smooth and easy.As a farewell, I even received a small gift – a touching gesture that made my stay truly memorable.I can absolutely recommend this place, especially for couples or singles and those seeking peace and quiet. I would love to come back!

Secluded & Restful

This property is traditional & rustic with a lovely garden attached. It is quiet and secluded, but with the hosts and their translator easily reachable by phone/text. The town of Archangelos is quaint with a decent grocery, coffee shop & mix of authentic Greek restaurants. Having your own car is preferable to make the trip to Rhodes & the surrounding sites more easily accessible. Late September or October would be the ideal times & climate to fully enjoy the Greek experience. The hosts & neighbors are incredibly kind and welcoming. If you are looking for a restful spot to relax & enjoy a glass of wine under a starry sky, then this traditional Greek cottage is for you!

Love embracing the culture away from the tourist traps. You don't really need a car. You can hire a taxi to get there and take the bus the rest of the time. Buses are reasonable only 3.30 euro from the town into the tourist cities. No need to look for parking in Rhodes or Lindos with the bus system. Bus station is maybe a 5- 8 minute walk. I will probably not rent a car next time. Rustic and what the locals live in. Loved the private patio. My daughter stayed up nights with the lights on reading on the patio. The beaches are not crowed and loungers, shade umbrellas are affordable. You do have to be a little agile to take the steps up to the cottage. I'm no spring chicken and made it up and down easily. Thru the back garden gate is the castle. An easy walk to the castle and the church within. Stella the owner will bend over backwards to provide anything you are missing or require. Lots of information on local events or sites that you might not know are happening. Really they were a knock or email away. They even were kind enough to present us with a lovely going away gift. This was probably one of the best places I have stayed in for privacy and location.

Tolle Ferienwohnung in herrlicher Lage

Wir haben unsere drei Wochen Urlaub in diesem Häuschen sehr genossen. Umgeben von einem hübschen Garten fehlt es an nichts. Dazu kommen die sehr netten Vermieter die einem echte Gastfreundschaft zukommen lassen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit die wir hier verbringen durften!

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa casetta per la nostra vacanza di coppia a Rodi, all’inizio eravamo titubanti a causa dell’assenza di una via precisa, abbiamo poi scoperto che questa condizione è una normalità a Rodi, infatti la casa esiste ed è incantevole. La menzione d’onore però va agli host che sono stati stupendi, sempre disponibile e generosi. Ci sono venuti a prendere con la loro macchina quando non capivamo come arrivare, ci hanno regalato dei souvenir e ci hanno permesso di fare check in e check out agli orari a noi comodi. Inoltre il paesino presenta dei ristoranti buoni ed è centrale permettendo a chi alloggia lì di raggiungere in massimo 25 minuti tutte le spiagge più belle. Quindi casa straconsigliata!!!

La Sig.ra Stella e famiglia sono persone meravigliose, discrete, gentili e disponibili così come il vicinato. La casa é davvero confortevole e graziosa, fornita di tutto ciò che occorre. Posizione con vista suggestiva, bellissimo patio esterno con vista sul castello e sul paese. Inoltre da Arcangelo é possibile spostarsi e raggiungere facilmete i piú bei siti e le piú belle spiagge dell'isola. Ringraziamo ancora per la splendida ospitalitá ricevuta. Consigliatissimo!!!.

Beautyful house with a great garden

Wir haben uns mit der Vermieterin unten im Ort getroffen, so dass ed kein Problem war das Haus zu finden. Die Gassen sind wirklich schmal und verwinkelt, aber man lernt den Weg schnell. Das Haus ist wie auf den Fotos, klein und hübsch. Der Garten ist sehr schön und man hat einen tollen Blick auf die Burgruine. Wir sind auch manchmal im Dunklen noch kurz hochgegangen, da der Blick von dort großartig ist. Es gibt sehr viele Katzen in allen Farben und Grössen. Da wir Katzen lieben, waren wir sofort verliebt. Der Strand in Stegna ist nur 7 Autominuten entfernt, aber er ist steinig. Wir empfehlen den Sand- Strand Agathi Beach, 14 Autominuten. ( Badeschuhe nicht vergessen, der Sand ist heiss!)

L'endroit est a l'exterieur adorable terasse plantes etc... par contre l'interieur est tres petit

Je venais en Grece pour la premiere fois et je dois dire que j'ai aprecie tout ce que Rhodes a offrir...pour ce qui est du logement, il se trouve en hauteur avec triple vole d'escalier 42marches en tout avec des bagages pas evident quand on arrive enfin en haut on est agreablement surpris par l'exterieur vraimant joli l'interieur est tres petit avec pas une chambre mais un matelat sur une surface sureleve tres inconfortable du moins pour des personne de plus de 60 ans, je ne le conseille donc pas aux seniors

Three stars for a house that always gets five star reviews? The sleeping area is a traditional Greek loft (up two steps) it is the typical traditional Greek sleeping area, as one can see from the photos. "Uncomfortable?" The mattress is standard full-size double, and "medium" in softness--not too hard, not too soft The house is on the side of a hill with a few steps up the hill. Small? Yes, as anyone can see from the photos. And why not? We recommend to simply read all the other five star reviews of enthusiatic guests over many years...

Klein, aber wirklich wunderschön! Für 2 Personen absolut ausreichend, liebevoll eingerichtet und ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit und auch immer ansprechbar. Erholsamer Urlaub

Wir haben Ende September 2 wunderbare Wochen in diesem charmanten Haus verbracht. Das Haus ist genau, wie wir es erwartet haben und wie es beschrieben wurde. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum täglichen Leben braucht. Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich und bei der ersten Anfahrt spannend. Aber wenn man den Weg weiß, ist es kein Problem. Einfach nur den Schildern zur Akropolis folgen. Der Urlaub war entspannend ruhig und die Vermieterin war jederzeit erreichbar und hat sich rührend um uns gekümmert. Es ist etwas für Individualisten, aber das Leben der Stadt ist nur ein paar Gehminuten entfernt. Wir haben den Urlaub genossen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

kein Internet, Router defekt? Am ersten Morgen wollte ich Kaffee machen, Kaffeemaschine war defekt. Zwei Tage später wollte ich im TV Nachrichten schauen, ging leider nicht. Keine Batterien in der Fernbedienung und nur griechische Sender! Dann ein Loch irgendwo im Abwasserrohr der Toilette. Statt dieses Leck zu schliessen, hat man mir freundlicherweise einen Aufnehmer und einen Eimer vor die Tür gestellt. Ich habe also mehrmals am Tag das Abwasser aufgewischt um nicht nach dem duschen in der Brühe zu stehen. Die Beschreibung der Lage des Objektes ist sehr ungenau. Hätte ich gewußt wo das Haus liegt, ich hätte es niemals gebucht. Ein ortsfremder so wie ich, findet niemals alleine zu dem Haus. Die Straßen in diesem Viertel sind alle ohne Namen. So bin ich leider auch einmal mit dem Auto in einer dieser sog. Straßen stecken geblieben. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett, haben mich einmal zum Essen eingeladen aber die Bezeichnung Premium ist hier nicht angebracht! Einige Dinge sind auch nicht so, wie in der Anzeige beschrieben. So gibt es keine Mikrowelle oder Zentralheizung, es gab nur einen uralten Kochtopf in dem man nicht kochen will. In dem Kamin wurde noch nie ein Feuer gemacht, vielleicht mal vor 50 Jahren als die Tante noch lebte. An den Kleiderschrank kommt man nur, wenn man sich auf das Bett stellt und die untere Schublade bekommt man nur knapp halb auf. Ins Bett kommt man nur über einen zweistufigen Tritt. Für Menschen mit Handicap wirklich total ungeeignet und kein Premium

This review is as incomprehensible, as it is inaccurate. We had excellent friendly relations with this guest, so it is hard to understand how he could write such a wild misrepresentation. A storm blew out the internet and other things around the island and the internet provider was not able to repair or replace the router immediately. There was no sewage leak. We always meet our guests and bring them to the house, as we did with this guest. And he certainly was able to make his coffee every morning. And so on. The house is certainly as described in the listing, and in an ideal location, as verified by comments from our many satisfied guests over the years. It is is an excellent state of repair, with new modern fixtures and everything working. We can only direct the reader to read all our other fine five star reviews from the past years, and to book with us and come see for yourselves. You will love it, as so many have!

Castle Garden is located in a quiet section of the town of Archangelos which is a real Greek village, not heavily touristed, but replete with all the supplies and services anyone might need, including a 24/7 free walk-in clinic/emergency room, super markets, pharmacies, computer and electronics and hone services, bakeries, eateries, bars, live music. And the beach with great swimming, and many fine tavernas is only five minutes away by car.

Popular tourist places like Lindos and Seven Springs are only minutes away by car (or public busses). The whole island is readily accessible from this location about halfway down the east coast road.

Shopping for food and other necessities is only a few steps away from the house if you don't want to take the car. Yet, sitting on the hill above the town, you feel far above it. A number of our guests have become regulars, coming back year after year, making Castle Garden truly their home away from home.

Living in this little hideaway, which will feel like your own, you will feel like a local, and wherever you go in the area, find yourself surrounded with friendly people generating the feeling of true Greek hospitality.
