Not the best bang for your buck
The property is ok but not recommended for everyone. I wouldnt reccomend bringing young children as there are many beautiful figurines and glass objects that could be broken. The owner also has alot of personal pictures and family photos hanging throughout the house which gives a wierd uncomfortable vibe. His boat Is also docked there so you do not have access to the hoist and they advertise deep water dockage but at low tide the water level dropped below 12 inches. If you bring your boat BE EXTREMLY CAREFUL you may damage your hull or prop on the stones. I did call the property manager to inquire about a few problem around the house which are causes for concern the light switches in the living room make a buzzing noise and rarely work. The master bathroom has what i would consider a major safety hazard going on behind the walls of the shower. Anytime you turn on either the shower or faucet in there the lights begin to flicker. The last and final issue we had was that the house was dirty upon arrival floors turned your feet black the linens were stained and not just the shower linens but the beds as well. I do not know which cleaning service they use but whoever it is is doing a horrible job we had to clean everything from the dishes, floors, as well as wash all of the linens before using. That by itself was completly unacceptable you don't expect to spend your first day of vacation going to buy cleaning supplies and stayying up until 2 am doing laundry considering check in is late in the afternoon. And after all of that the cleaning person or possibly the property manager showed up to the house the morning we checked out and just sat parked in her car staring from 920 am until 950 when we departed. Overall I would not reccomend this property especially at that high of a mark up when there are so many other homes you can rent that are as advertised and offer more amenities for that sort of money. As a family that visits the keys four times a year we have stayed in our fair share of rental properties throughout and this ranks as the second worst property we have used.
