If you feel the need to venture out, the world's flounder capital Wachapraegue is a 20 minute ride, while Chincoteague is only a 40 minute drive to the north and Cape Charles is 45 minutes south. Cardinal Cove is the perfect destination for adventure and enjoyment of the “dual coasts” of the Virginia Eastern Shore!

The house is a Nanticoke Cape Cod and easily accommodates 8. The first floor has 2 bedrooms, One Queen and the other with 2 twin beds, and a full bathroom while the second floor has 2 bedrooms, Primary bedroom has a King size bed and the second room has 2 twin beds, walk-in closet and another full bathroom. With hardwood floors, tile and wall to wall carpeting throughout, the rooms are comfortably furnished with a classic antique feel. You can even dine al fresco on the screened-in covered deck off the dining room with a gorgeous creek view, and the open patio below offers more fresh air.

• Early check-ins or late check-outs:
If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival we will do our best to get you in early.
Late check-outs past 11am must be confirmed with owners prior to the date of departure.

You will be given a personalized code to the rear basement door at the back of the house prior to your arrival.

We have stocked the home with many items including start-up supplies. However, you will likely need to supplement with your own during your stay. We appreciate that our guests take good care of the home we have set up, and ask that you use only what you need during your stay.

Furry Family Members:
We keep the treat jar stocked for our furry guests in the entry area on the cabinet! You will not be able to miss it! There are food & water bowls provided as well. Ran out of waste bags? No worries! We have you covered and have plenty of waste bags to use! Simply toss the used waste bag in the outdoor garbage container. If you go out and about to explore and unable to bring your furry family member, we have a large dog crate provided in the laundry room area. There is a $150 pet fee for up to 2 dogs, owner permission required prior to stay.
Pet owners will be pleased to find a welcoming environment for furry friends, and a treat jar to keep tails wagging.

By confirming your booking you agree to adhere to the Rental Rules and this renter agreement becomes effective immediately. The renters agreement applies to all guests no matter the age or affiliation. The person who is booking must be 25 years old, for all other guests there is not an age requirement. If you bring more people than agreed upon by your reservation you will be asked to leave without a refund and/or charged an extra $100 per person per night. - Check in time is 4pm and check out time is 11am. No early check-in or late check-out without prior approval from the owner. An unauthorized late check out will be billed for an additional night and any lost revenue from future bookings that had to be canceled due to your late check out.

1. Smoking is NOT allowed and Drugs of any kind are NOT permitted. If we find that you did smoke in the house there is a $500 fine plus additional cleaning fees and bill for resulting damage in the home.
2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth in the on-line agreement may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Guests are not allowed to exceed the occupancy limit agreed to in the on-line itinerary.
3. If you plan to party do not book this house. It is our home and you must treat it with respect.
4. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
5.Keep the property and all furnishings in good order, removing any items from the House including living and kitchen furnishings is not permitted.
6.Only use appliances for their intended uses
7.Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit bath towels or linens to be taken from the units. Beach towels are provided if needed. Check Out is at 11am.
8. Lock all doors and all windows upon departure
9. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the system, you could be charged damages of up to $1000.
10. This is our home. Treat it as if it were your own. Every item will be looked at before arrival and after departure. If you cause damage, notify the owner immediately. Any damage to any items in the House including couches, chairs, tables, TVs, beds, sheets, towels, pillows, etc, is the responsibility of the renter. Failure to comply with the above rules will result in non-return of security deposit and possible additional charges. Booking through VRBO assigns your consent to all listed under "House Rules"
11. If you are found to have an animal without prior approval, you may be asked to leave without a refund and charged an additional $500 pet fee.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: I, (we, the guest), understand that we are wholly responsible for ourselves, children, and invited guests as relates to any activity or any facility we choose to use on the ranch. This includes, but is not limited to, boating, bunk beds, fishing, swimming, or walking. I, (we), hereby voluntarily accept all risk of personal injury, death and property damage (including personal property) to myself (ourselves), other guests or anyone on the Premises with our permission, which damage, illness, injury or death results from our use of the Premises. Furthermore, I (we) agree that I (we) will not make a claim against or sue the Owners or employees, family or related entities, for any bodily injury, death or property damage. I (we) understand that this is a release of Owner and agents from any and all liability with respect to any claims brought by invitees for damage or injury.
