Amazing Place!

  • 5 of 5

The house is in the perfect place to enjoy Grand Lake. It is right on the peninsula between Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake and it has water access. You can easily walk down to the water or put your boat in at the dock. The house is updated and has an amazing view of the water. It's very comfortable for multiple families to enjoy together, but to also have separate space. I look forward to going back again.

The only thing to make this vacation more relaxing would have been another week or two!

  • 5 of 5

This past week has been a wonderful vacation for us with family and friends. When the weather was beautiful, we enjoyed fishing canoeing, boating and just sitting outside watching the rest of the people and animals having fun. When the weather was rainy, we sat inside and enjoyed each other's company in a very warm, comfortable, and inviting cabin atmosphere. The "wildlife" we saw - eagles, osprey, fox, moose, chipmunks, etc. were entertaining for all ages. The owners were very accommodating and responsive to communication. All-in-all, we struck it rich with this rental, and look forward to our next visit.

Perfect Place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this beautiful home on Grand Lake for our son's wedding. We had 10 people staying there as our home base. It comfortably housed all of us and the floor plan was very accommodating for seniors. This house is designed so anyone can be in the hub of activities, or find individual quiet time and space. The views from the house are breath taking. We were able to walk to/from our 'in-laws' home. All communications with the owners were very helpful and informative. I wish we could have this home again when our daughter gets married in the Northwest.

LOVELY HOME FOR GOOD WEATHER AND NOT SO GOOD WEATHER

  • 5 of 5

Our week included mostly good weather but one day that was cool and rained the entire day. We just turned on the fireplace and we all enjoyed the large family room, viewing the ever changing fog clinging to the mountains - reading books and playing games. Some of the heartier among us did hike and did put the kayaks in the water. The views are great - from seeing a beautiful doe right out the kitchen window - to the resident fox scurrying by as I sat in the great swing in the family room reading a book. On the nice weather days - the water activity in the canal is entertainment for those of us who mainly just enjoyed the home. The hikers liked the fact they could get up and out early, and not bother the others. One of our family's traditions is to all get ice cream. Some walked to the ice cream store - and some drove. We all agreed that this was a great place to stay.

Large, comfortable home with breathtaking views and you own "pet" fox.

  • 5 of 5

We chose this lovely home for several reasons; it is on the water and has it's own dock, the spaciousness and multiple bedrooms and bathrooms mean't both of our kids and all 3 of our grandkids could enjoy the week along with us, the location is perfect - right on the outlet, with Point Park ( a picnicking park ) right across the water and downtown Grand Lake with ir's town beach, boat rentals, restaurants and shops an easy stroll from the home's front door. What we didn't know was that this was a superb wildlife watching spot. From the comfortable deck chairs we routinely gazed on moose munching right across the outlet, osprey diving for their breakfast, and a daily visit from the neighborhood fox! Amazing! You'll love it.

Perfect, homey, modern, rustic, beautiful cabin on the water

  • 5 of 5

My family gathered in this house for a weekend reunion and it was the perfect house. What a beautiful view in a modern yet rustic cabin. We all loved the swing in the corner with all of the windows overlooking the water. The rooms were big and the house was warm. The beds were comfy and the bedding was nice & clean. The kitchen was nice and there was plenty of tables for eating with our big group. The fireplace was lovely. We could walk around the neighborhood, by the lake that has park close by and into Grand Lake itself. It is easy to find.

My family is excited to return to this house someday. I highly, highly, highly recommend this house to others!

A true gem.

Plus, the owner was fantastic to work with. Very kind and personable.

Map

Car: recommended

The Rocky Mountain National Park is right on the edge of Grand Lake. It is a beautiful drive with plenty of opportunities to get out of your vehicle to view the wild life. Drive to Estes Park one day. What a beautiful drive.

We are a walk to downtown where you will find restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, many ice cream shoppes! Also miniature golf, horse back ridding, and a marina where you can rent a boat to fish or explore the lakes. You can keep your boat in our dock.

Fishing is good in the lakes. You can fish off our dock, on the shore or off the foot bridge a block from the house. Guides are available for lake fishing or stream fishing.

We see lots of wild life in the national park or at the house! Moose, elk, fox and an occasional bear crossing the bridge very early in the am. Bears here are not dangerous they are only after trash.

A hospital and clinics are a short drive to Granby. In the summer don't miss The Reperatory Theatre. Rated # 2 in Colorado for live plays.

Hiking in the area is great.

Sking is close in Grandby or Winter Park. Snowmobiles are for rent in town. Grand Lake is Colorados snowmobile capitol.

Natural hot pools are in Hot Sulphur Springs 30 minutes away.

What a great place to visit. I know you will enjoy the house too!
