Mobility Notice: Multiple levels and stairs throughout. Please inquire before booking if mobility is a concern.

Not Ideal for Young Children: The home includes high-end furnishings, steep stairs, and water access. Safety and comfort for families with small children may be limited.

No Pets Policy: We are unable to accommodate pets but can suggest local boarding options.

We have no control over these fees and when they are charged they are gone for good. We`ve researched far and wide and have not found a solution to this issue. By booking you agree to this policy. The Rules

Please be kind to the house and its contents and gardens! It’s our family home and filled with items that are special to us.

No smoking or vaping (can result in loss of security deposit)

Please no outdoor shoes inside (if at all possible for you). It keeps it clean for everyone, There are disposable slippers by the front door if you would like something on your feet other than socks during your stay.

Septic System: Please be kind to it and to the Pond! Absolutely do NOT FLUSH paper towels, sanitary products, etc..
Use Watercraft, Dock, and Bicycles AT YOUR OWN RISK!

NO CANDLES and NO FIRES (fireplace and fire pit) without express advance permission. Please check in with Chuck & Erin for approval and read all sections of this manual about fire safety! The wood stove is not available for guest use (we apologize for its enticing presence).

Please try not to track sand into the house (you can use the hose by the garage to wash off).

Soaking Tub (Ufuru): No soap or bath products! Please shower and rinse thoroughly before using.

No large, rowdy, or late night parties (small gatherings of friends and family are wonderful though!)

Please be respectful of our neighbors and fellow members of the beach association: drive slowly on Ransom Road and please don’t be unduly noisy.

Use plastic dishes for outside drinking and eating (upper kitchen cabinets) (protects against breakage and injury from broken glass).


Emergencies

HEALTH AND SAFETY EMERGENCIES

General:

The house has 911 service. Use the land line phones to ensure responders are able to locate the house. Pushing the “shield” button on the alarm panel should also summon police.

The house has smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. If an alarm is triggered, the alarm company will call the house. If it is a false alarm (e.g., smoke from cooking), the key phrase (printed on a card by the phone) will allow you to cancel the fire department call.

Medical:

Falmouth Hospital is less than 2 miles away at 100 Ter Huen Drive, Falmouth

To see a doctor for less serious health care, there is a ConvenientMD walk-in clinic in Falmouth (40 Davis Straits, Falmouth. We have found it to be very good.

General First Aid supplies are located in the drawers and under the sink in the third-floor bathroom.

If you need it, use it, but please let us know if something needs replacing!!

Fire:

Fire extinguishers can be found in:

the tall cupboard in the kitchen;

the basement workshop area; and

the garage.

There are fire blankets under the beds and in the tall kitchen cabinet nearest the patio. The pond-side bedroom and third-floor bedroom also have fire ladders under the beds.
