Beautiful stone and cantera home on a quiet cul-de-sac over looking the WHOLE Pacific Ocean. Right above Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and above Pueblo Bonito Hotel Pacifica. This amazing stone and cantera house offers a real experience of Mexico. First of all, it's 100% safe as we have barely ever even closed our front door. Second, on the front side sits the entire Pacific view, but on the back side down the road is REAL Mexico. You know, where the waiters live, the maids, the gardners.....all the hard working people that staff the resorts. They live down the hill from us and every day they work hard and catch the little busses to work. What this means is that when you drive away from our house you will be driving through friendly colonias with small taco stands on every corner. There are no high speed highways to get on to get to the restaurants in Cabo. You just drive down the hill slowly or take a bus in town. It's fun. It's real. And it offers 1000x better experience than just renting some home on the highway in gringo neighborhoods. If you want that, then why did you come to Mexico? In our house you have the elegance. You have the amazing view. You have the quality. But you also have the experience of connecting to the people that work by the thousands every day staffing the major resorts. You know, the ones you hug when you get to know them as your favorite waiter. Or your favorite maid. Casa campaña offers all that!! A really cool experience and yet all the safety and elegance of a fine built house.

Oh, one more thing

I just spent three weeks with my team of carpenters, workers, maids and everyone and we totally fixed up all the house details and made it back to its splendor! New plants. Interior stonework was redone. New wood doors. Our big view doors all fixed up nice. The rooftop penthouse all fixed up with tables and chairs and plants. What a view of the sunset there! The best! Guaranteed. THIS HOUSE IS EVEN NICER THAN EVER NOW!!! We had a couple guests tell us that the house looks a little like it once was grand and now it’s slightly run down. It hurt to hear that because we saw our house as perfect. But, we took it to heart. And wow, it looks and feels really good! All fixed up!!!

Amazing house and location with a great host

We loved staying at this beautiful house on top of a hill with amazing ocean views. The house is lovely and large with big open windows that allow air to flow through. We had a great time here, and really appreciated the amount of communication we received from the host whenever we needed anything. We recommend this place!

Beautiful home with amazing view of Pacific

Great home to rent if you want to immerse yourself into the culture of Mexico. House is situated off the beaten path of most resorts amongst the homes of the people of Mexico. Felt very safe, as we never locked the doors. House has most everything you can think of for your stay. Master bedroom has opening view of the Pacific Ocean. Best place to watch sunsets is from the roof. A car is a good thing to rent to get to places from the home just be aware that traffic laws are not enforced too well and stop signs are just suggestion for the natives. Hope Dirk will get a water gun to shoot at the dog next door that always seems to bark when he hears you move. Dirk is great to communicate with!

Amazing Views

Came down with a buddy to escape life for a moment and had an exceptional time. The views from this place are amazing! The roof top (when it's not scorching outside) is unmatched. Drinks from the fridge downstairs, the hills surrounding you, the sea in front, and conversation with stories of our youth made this escape something to remember. To boot, you have plenty of rooms to retreat to for your daily siesta. If you're lucky enough to get the master bedroom, you'll be treated with an equal view of the Pacific and it's amazing beauty. You'll be greeted each morning with the daily sprint of fishing boats heading north up the coastline (pro tip - hire a boat down at the marina, catch Dorado, head back to the marina, and have one of the restaurants cook it six ways from Sunday for you!). The house is far enough away from the party scene downtown, but close enough for an $8 Uber (each way) to see and do all you want. We grabbed meat, tortillas, tequila, and all the fixings at the local grocery store (Chedraui) and used the brick BBQ on the back patio one evening. Just make sure if you're using the wood charcoal that comes in a bag, to grab two bags, or prepare to wait awhile for your food to cook, as the grill does not raise or lower. Lots of fun! Dirk is one of the most informative and active owners in the short-term rental space that I have ever encountered. He is exceptionally personable and gets you ready before you even arrive! Don't miss this opportunity!

Incredible place

What can I say.. This house is more than amazing and the people who take care of it are too. The view of the pacific ocean can be seen at all 3 levels of the house. The view from the roof is absolutely breathtaking. Located just outside of the happening downtown area you really get a sense of peace and relaxation here without being too far away from all the fun Cabo activities. Dirk is a great host, very easy to communicate with. I will be back soon for more!

Dirks Place was like being in a castle! The open air rooms and rustic decor was fabulous! And the views were stunning- especially from the rooftop terrace🥰 Not only was his home gorgeous- but he was so helpful with every thing we needed and helped make our stay perfect with his suggestions! We would return in a heartbeat!!!

Amazing Views. Awesome house. Away from the busy areas. Need transportation to get to a swim beach.

Dirk was very responsive to issues we had. Amazing amazing views. Awesome house. The beach down the hill is like all (or most) beaches in Cabo that aren’t near the Marina - meaning it isn’t swimmable due to safety. (Google it to find out more). So make sure you have transportation if you want to do more than chill on the roof or balcony or porch and enjoy the amazing views. Large Grocery stores (think Sams, Costco, ...) are nearby (via car say 2 miles) where you can buy organic protein powder, fresh fruits, clothes even a moped or a grill. Smaller local grocery stores are in relative close walking distance but practice your Spanish because the house is not in a tourist area. I met 2 of the neighbors and they are soooo nice. One actually led me into the Marina one day on her way out! They both spoke perfect English. Great spot for the family to unwind, catch up on together time and also hide away to complete individual projects if needed. Finally the house has 4 working toilets and 3 working showers. One shower (the would be 4th shower) off the study with the TV is disabled intentionally per Dirk. If you are like us and sleep with the doors open - for the amazing breeze - put the fans directly on you to keep mosquitoes off of you. I highly recommend this property.

Great Time

We had an amazing time at Dirks house off the Pacific! Our group was all adults and the house accommodated us perfectly. Nights on the roof were peaceful and beautiful. We found a reasonable taxi and used them for the duration of the trip. It was cheaper than paying $500/nt for rooms with not so good food. We enjoyed the locals, who were all very hospitable and friendly, and got to spend time together. Our taxi gave great suggestions for local hot spots. Dirk was very helpful with directions our first day since it's in a newer development and our shuttle driver only knew hotels/resorts. We will definitely be visiting again and hopeful this home will be available. Thanks Dirk!!!!

Dirk is a fabulous host. We actually ended up staying at his ranch in Todos Santos, surrounded by palm trees and Litchi. It did not disappoint! Lovely pool and a gorgeous beach within walking distance. A pleasure!!

We had the most amazing time in Casa Campaña! It was a perfect fit for my family of 8! We had more than enough room! This home is very well kept, very private and is a absolute gem! The main bed room has an entire wall that opens up to see the amazing view of the ocean and to let in that breeze! The picture on the website fall short, you have to see it for your self. The area is very private and very safe. The house is very well equipped, I loved the kitchen!!! The owner Dirk has amazing hospitality, he was very accommodating, helpful and it was a pleasure renting his home. very easy to get ahold of if needed! We are defiantly returning to Casa Campaña!
