Welcome to Rivanna Estates—A Historic Country Retreat on 42 Acres

Nestled in the heart of Virginia wine country and surrounded by sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this historic 42-acre estate offers a serene escape just minutes from Charlottesville.

This spacious and charming home features 4 bedrooms: two with queen beds, one with two twin beds—all located on the main floor—and a private queen bedroom upstairs. The second floor also includes a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room, and a dining area perfect for gathering.

The lower level is designed for both relaxation and fun, offering a private yoga studio, game room, and walkout patio with outdoor seating and a charcoal grill.

We do limit the number of guests allowed at any one time and request that you contact us prior to extending any invitations to non-resident guests.
Regarding pets, we only allow dogs. In general, we do ask that dogs be kept on a leash. We ask that pets not be at the pool or at the barn.
Please sign the pool waiver,. We provide pool towels. There is no lifeguard and no diving (only 5ft deep) or running and jumping in the pool.

Our stay was incredible! The hosts were extremely nice and go above and beyond to provide the essentials and extra things to make the stay more enjoyable. The house and property is gorgeous and I cannot recommend it enough. Everything was extremely clean and organized. We will absolutely go back.

The property was beautiful, clean, accurately represented in photos, and had wonderful amenities. There are multiple other residences on the property, and this one in particular has 2 others situated within the same area. The property lines were a bit confusing and we initially didn't realize there were parts of the property we weren't allowed to venture to! There is a guide provided, so just make sure you review that before exploring. Larry and Tamar were both very kind and gracious hosts! Make sure you stop by to see Princess and Marty (the horse and donkey)!

You all took such great care of the home, and we really appreciated how clean and respectful you were during your stay. I'm glad you enjoyed the property, the amenities, and of course meeting Princess and Marty, they always love visitors! Thank you as well for mentioning the property boundaries. We do have a property map on the table inside the house that outlines the areas guests are welcome to explore. The main area we ask guests to avoid is behind our private residence. It sounds like the map may have been overlooked, but we're always happy to answer any questions during a stay as well.
