Spectacular house with an amazing view. This was a spring break rental for my wife and I along with our three kids. Although the temperatures outside was not ideal during our week there, the heated pool option and hot tub were a perfect way for us to enjoy the beach for walks while still being able to enjoy water relaxation. The outdoor gas fireplace and huge grill area really added some extra charm. The house itself was very clean and a perfect layout overall. The location was a perfect spot between visits to Myrtle Beach and Wilmington. Great ocean views in a really quaint town. Highly recommend for a relaxing-low key family vacation. Host was very responsive.

House and pool were very nice. I booked this property in January based on the picture and description of ocean view, ocean front and 1 minute walk to the beach. I specifically choose the property because we have children and older adults. When we arrived a house was being constructed in front of the house. And we were informed that the direct 1 minute access to the beach could not be used as it was private property. So the walk to the public access area with little ones, older adults, and beach stuff along a busy road was not good. The public access to the beach would not allow us to leave a car there which meant we had to shuttle back and forth from the beach to the house. I was not expecting the property to be a "second row" house nor was I expecting to have to use the public access further down the beach as it was depicted on the listing. Listing needs updated.first floor shower ran hot and cold.

At 4pm check-in the home had not been cleaned, AC on main floor did not work properly (5-8* behind all week) TV in master would not accept Wi-Fi, downstairs hot water would not last thru a single shower, elevator keypad kept locking us out, -no partial refund was given even though I was told I would get one- now after checkout Booksmart Properties have stop responding to me - this ruined our 2026 July 4th vacat

Lion by the Sea was the perfect choice for our family weekend getaway! The home was beautiful, welcoming, comfy, and clean with great ocean views. Beach access was right across the road and steps away from the house. After a day at the beach, we enjoyed the backyard with a large pool, adjoining spa, fire pit, and gas grill in the evening. The location was very convenient and close to Publix, coffee shops, and restaurants. Our host was awesome and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

House was nice and interior was clean. Outside mats, etc could have been swept or blown. Several issues present: 1) pool lights functioned only 2 of 7 nights, 2) upper master bed is sagging as all support posts were broken but this did not disrupt my sleep, 3) pictures of the house are not up to date as there is a large and very tall house in the middle of your view that is under construction; views of the ocean in the pictures of this property show an unobstructed view and a path to the beach directly in front of the house that is no longer accurate and we weren’t made aware of this until the day of check in; you must walk further down left or right to access the beach; the construction noise began early each morning of our stay and again we were not made aware it was going on 4) the downstairs master shower did not have warm water and could not be used forcing 6 people to use 1 shower on that level 5) the management company was contacted multiple times and it took 3 days before anyone checked on the shower and their solution for this was a 75 credit in the end for an 11,000 purchase.The house itself is nice and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Multiple issues need to be corrected going forward as well as how and when the property management group addresses legitimate complaints.

This property is absolutely gorgeous! The backyard is an oasis with a beautiful pool, hot tub, and fire pit with tons of great seating options. You have a beautiful view of the ocean from both porches! The kitchen was very well appointed and the reclining couches were a favorite! The kitchen, bathrooms, and floors were very clean when we arrived - the bedrooms, dressers, and drawers could have been wiped down/dusted a little more. We did run into a few maintenance issues while staying here, but the host was extremely responsive, kind, and helpful. We had some issues with pool temperature, hot water in the shower, tv’s not working in bedrooms, and the fire pit key - there were also quite a few tiles falling off around the pool. But, we would definitely stay here again. The convenience of this location to the grocery stores, restaurants, and park is unmatched! And the gorgeous backyard and immaculate backyard really are hard to beat! Wish we could go back already.
