A tough place to get to but SO worth it!!! Cozy comfortable and spacious with beautiful views along the western leg of Lake Nantahala. We spent 6 days and found the accommodations perfect for our group of 8. We especially enjoyed the dock relaxing in the sun and spending time together. Thank youMary

So glad you had a great time at the lake. So perfect place to relax and have some cool weather, especially in the mornings. With everyone else being super hot nearby. The water is super clean and has a turquoise color to it. That’s what always amazed us. Glad you made it home safely.

The house and location was spacious and welcoming. I am very grateful for the owners to share their home so that we could vacation with our family. A few suggestions are a little more towels and kitchen tools and bigger trash cans outside.

Thank you for the review We will keep all your suggestions in mind We try to keep the 3 large trash cans strapped closed in case of bears .., We had a delay in garbage pick up due to the holiday - sorry Usually 3 is plenty We will make sure a mid week pick up if reservation is over 7 days Thank you for the suggestion Deb

Beautiful lakefront home. A perfect spot for a family with teenagers. There are lots of game and recreational activities in the home and on the lakefront. Nearby boat rental was seamless and fairly reasonable for the area. The downstairs with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and living room functions as a second home minus the kitchen. Laundry room was a bonus. Travelers should note all photos to understand that the walkway to the lake is long and steep. It may not be ideal for those with orthopedic challenges or toddlers. There are no screened- in porches. The Grocery store is 30 minutes away and so are the restaurants, so come prepared with food for your stay. The marina restaurant is 10 minutes away by boat and was open Thursday through Sunday while we were there. The food was good and reasonably priced. Other travelers have noted that steep driveway was intimidating. I agreed. 5 stars.

This is a great property you will not be disappointed in. The location is spectacular and the house is well outfitted for a stay with family and friends. We can’t wait to come back again.

Fabulous Home

We had a wonderful week at this property. The sunset views, from the porches and stone patio, are gorgeous. The dock is very large and perfect for hanging out or jumping off.

Labor Day weekend

Always so much fun staying here. Owners are lovely and communicative. Home is perfect. Lake views are incredible. As long as they let us rent we will keep coming.

Great get away

We loved it. Peaceful, relaxing, everything we needed. Loved kayaking around the lake, sitting on the deck reading, taking walks around the area, and sitting by the fire in the evening. Planning to come back.

Excellent retreat

As always, Robert & Debbie's cabin was fantastic. With great views of the lake, the stone outdoor fireplace, and the dock make for an excellent get-away. The house is always clean and in good repair and the couple are easy to work with and very responsive. Would definitely recommend this home to you for your vacation.

Amazing!!!

What a great property for families and fun!!! Great kayaking and boating with super comfortable living arrangements and entertainment. Board games and the pool table were great as well. We hope to get back next summer.

Great time at an awesome house

This was our second time renting this property and we could not have had a better experience. Great privacy, nicely decorated, and a 'not too hard' pathway to get down to the lake. Really enjoyed the privacy too. We have rented 5 other properties on Nantahala and this one is our favorite.
