Studio by the Sound is your cozy hideaway near Puget Sound. This private, pet-friendly suite (downstairs in our home) is thoughtfully designed for comfort and ease. Unwind in a dreamy king bed, stream your favorites on the smart TV, or grill and gather by the fire pit under the stars. Includes fast Wi-Fi, kitchenette, and self check-in for a relaxing stay.

You may hear light footsteps or paw-steps above — we live upstairs with our dog and cat, but we respect quiet hours and your privacy. You’ll find a QR code on the dining table with handpicked local recs for food, coffee, parks, and more.

Guest access
You’ll have exclusive access to the downstairs studio, including a private entrance around the back of the house via a set of outdoor stairs (steps are slightly narrow — please take care). You’ll also have a private bathroom and kitchenette, plus shared access to the backyard with the fire pit and grill — though we won’t use it while you’re here.

Free parking is available on the side of the house. Check-in is fully self-service with a smart lock (your code will be sent automatically upon booking confirmation and before arrival).
Other things to note
• Check-in is after 3pm and check-out is by 11am; we’re happy to offer flexibility when possible.
• Quiet hours are 11pm–7am.
• No parties or unregistered guests.
• Strong Wi-Fi throughout the space; Wi-Fi calling is a good backup if you have Verizon like us.
• The water may take a moment to warm up due to the tankless heater.
• Our home is on a well-traveled road with street lights but no traffic lights; guest entry and parking are on a quiet side street.
• Pet bowls, help with the grill, EV charging, and a bundle of firewood are available upon request.
