The team was super responsive. They kindly followed up to help us get through the hurricane. The location is convenient and the condo is comfortable. We will be back.

This place was so amazing! What a gem.The condo was so clean, comfortable and well equipped- pretty perfect. The view of the park and ocean below was spectacular. Lots of great vegetation all around, a very tropical feel. The large windows and sliding glass doors provided such a fresh cool airy feel, even on a hot day. Morning coffee on the lanai was lovely.The beach park below truly magical. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next Big Island trip. Thank you!

Loved this place. The inside of the condo felt like a 5 star resort. Towel warmers, bidet, fully stocked kitchen. And the view from the balcony was lovely.

Really outstanding condo. Very nicely equipped, facing the ocean so nice frog and ocean noises. Saw a turtle and plenty of fish snorkeling at the beach next door.

A short (wonderful) stay in Hilo - we will be back!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Salt Water Vacations offers excellent customer service from start to finish and our stay was wonderful! The unit was modern, extremely clean and pictures are accurate as shown. Having towel drying bars was a nice added touch given the humidity, we always had fresh dry towels (Mahalo). Having Carl Smith Beach Park as your back drop, swim area is a great bonus, and perhaps that is why we didn't spend a lot of time at the pool. Pool is just ok, but the ocean is the highlight for us. The condo complex itself is safe, neighbours and grounds keepers were friendly. We would highly recommend Salt Water Vacations and this particular unit if you are a couple staying in Hilo. The kitchen was fully stocked with high quality cookware. The location is unbeatable - just steps from Carlsmith park, where we enjoyed swimming and relaxing. We would absolutely stay here again!

The owners of this condo really do go above and beyond with providing everything that they can think of that would fit in a 1BR condo. They saw your review and were hoping for more details of what they could provide that would have made your stay more enjoyable. Because of Hawai'i's very mild year round climate and absence of land-based predators, there are plenty of animals around - cats, chickens, pigs, goats, donkeys, mongoose, and more ;-) There are no pets allowed in the building and there have certainly never been cats inside of the condo. Great Condo with “Blue Hawaii” theme. Nice upgrades you don’t usually find in a rental like towel warmers, bidet, charging stations by the bed. Beautiful view of Carlsmith Beach. Easy walk to the water. No air conditioning, but ceiling fans and ocean breeze kept the place pleasant.

The rental was very clean, well stocked and had a great location. The only downside is the condition of the pool. The lounge chairs and tables need to be updated and there are cats living there; they need to be relocated. I wouldn’t want my children to be scratched by a feral cat.

Great spot overall. It got very hot when we were there. It would be great if you could have some floor fans for the place as well. The little basket you have for the Keurig so you can use regular ground coffee doesn't work well. I highly recommend getting this one for the spot. It works great and is easy to clean. I had to use regular filters, which made a mess. Great property and location. Condo presents as described. Retractable screened front door was perfect for breezy days. Pool needs a bit of attention. Quite property, clean grounds with tropical flowers bushes and a few papaya fruit trees. The greenery behind the property hid the swimmable/wading beach and ocean view. Close to everything. A bit of loud music and cars. All in all enjoyed our stay!

The unit was very welcoming, items in the unit looked all brand new. Nice breeze from lanai to the front door where had screen door to keep the privacy. We all enjoyed going to the beach in front of the building. The location was excellent, closer to the airport and downtown hilo. The unit is perfect for one person or couple to stay.

Good rental close to the beach park

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice condo steps to Carlsmith Beach Park, nice for morning walks. We liked that it was close to town. The condo itself had everything we needed. The fan and the heated towel racks in the bathroom scored high points. The towel racks helped towels dry fast. The location is pretty noisy even with quiet hours, people visit the beach park even after hours and their voices tend to carry and the road gets a lot of cruisers. Building and park maintenance starts at 8am, we don't sleep late so that wasn't an issue for us. Would I recommend, that depends on what you want. Quiet, no. Close to town and the beach park, yes.
