The perfect place to begin our return home trip to CT and MA! Amazing cottage with all of the needed touches for a delightful two day stay. Spotless of course! Joe and Susan are the two best hosts you could ask for!

Wonderful pet friendly stay, truly a unique experience. Even though some of our plans were affected by the rain it was still a lovely stay and we were able to enjoy nature by relaxing in the indoor garden. Joe was very hospitable and made sure we were comfy.

Charming environment and hosts. Love the setting and plants. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Joe and Susan are fantastic host/hostess. You could not ask for a better place to stay.

The most lovely stay for my Fiancé and two pups! The house and neighborhood are all just absolutely adorable and the hosts are the sweetest. We will definitely stay here again and suggest that you book it as well! we had a wedding to attend at Wrights Mill Farm in Canterbury, and this was the perfect place - an easy 20 minute drive away.

We totally enjoyed staying here. All of the cottage is gorgeous but that sunroom is out of this world. So full of light and positive energy. THe shower is really easy to use and beautiful as well.

Property is decorated like an English garden. The cottage is absolutely stunning and well worth the expense. I've stayed at many rentals and I can tell you this place raises the bar in terms of charm, cleanliness, and value. I would definitely book again if in the area.

Wonderful and unique guest cottage! I am a plant and vintage lover so I really enjoyed the greenhouse, gardens, and all of the unique items - great space to enjoy morning coffee. The owners, Joe & Susan, could not have been nicer or more accommodating of me and my husband and our dog. Orchids are incredible!

My wife and I needed a place near UConn for a quick one night visit with out daughter. Hotels were booked so I turned to VRBO. Found this lovely garden cottage. Though it was only one night, it was really a treat. The word 'quaint' doesn't even begin to cover it. Beautifully appointed. So many unexpected details that truly make it a 'garden cottage.' The hosts were wonderful and extremely attentive. My wife and I agree that we will need to book again when we will be around for a longer stay. Two big thumbs up!

Quaint. Pleasant. Inviting. Welcoming. Feels like home.

Our stay was lovely! We had great communication with the hosts. The keypad combination was intuitive and once you walked in, it felt like a gardener's oasis. There were beautiful orchids among other plants in the conservatory, along with 2 dog bowls for our pup! The bedroom is cozy and perfect for a couple, it also has many windows to allow natural light to come in. The bathroom was perfect and the shower was oh-so-satisfying. The next morning, we took more advantage kitchenette, using the retro coffee maker and older utensils. The kitchenette has plenty of tableware, a charming sink, retro-looking fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. No stove, though there is a grill outside. We opted for dinner from some local restaurants in the next town over. The hosts gave tips for good food and drinks and greeted us with open arms. Will absolutely stay again when back in the area. Thanks for having us!

This property was such a special find — even for just one night, the beautiful gardens and antique-filled rooms made us feel like we'd been transported to a cottage in the French countryside. Susan and Joe couldn't have been more welcoming, and we really appreciated being able to bring our dogs along for the stay. Everything was thoughtfully done and simply perfect from start to finish. We're already looking forward to stopping here again to break up our trips back to Pennsylvania from Maine and New Hampshire, and hope to return one day for a longer stay to explore more of Connecticut.
