The apartment is in a very walkable suburb with a pleasant walk to the old part of Petaluma that includes coffee shops, a bookstore and restaurants and small businesses. That was a real bonus.

The apartment was extremely clean had everything we needed. The neighborhood was very quiet and we were able to sit on the balcony and enjoy drinking some wine and watching the fireworks.

Was an amazing stay. Quiet neighborhood and great location close to downtown. Check-in was extremely easy and apartment was cute and cozy.

Excellent hosts! I had a little trouble finding the Casita as my wife booked it and I didn’t read the details. (My fault) The photo shows the main house and the casita is above the garage in the back of the property.The jetted hot tub in the bathroom was very enjoyable. We had a couple small issues with the construction happening next door, starting around 7am and not being early risers. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for a couple. Great location very close to Petaluma’s cute downtown. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen had all the essentials. Easy street parking (we had the same spot right out front every day of our stay). Perfect little outdoor seating area for morning coffee or evening wind down. Nice to have full cable TV lineup. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Everything from arrival to departure was easy and comfortable. The hosts were accommodating and friendly, and the place was completely user-friendly. We walked into downtown every day and evening, and enjoyed the extended stay.

Everything we needed was there except for ice cubes and an alarm clock in the bedroom.There were stairs up to the Casita over the garage, which was a little hassle for seniors our age with heavy suitcases, but we managed.Everything else was great and we enjoyed our stay!Thank you Cat and Steve!Vergie & Woody

I’m happy you enjoyed your stay! I wish you would of asked about the alarm clock as there is one in the armoire in the bedroom. I do have the stairs pictured on my host page for any guests that may have limitations with stairs. Sorry you struggled them - we would’ve been more than happy to help you with your luggage. Great property! Quiet, clean, great kitchen and bath amenities, good wi-fi and TV service, comfortable bed, iron/ironing board. Location was perfect for my needs, owner very responsive. Loved sitting on the sofa and seeing only the green tops of the tall trees in back and on the side. Street parking was OK, occasionally had to park across the street but no big deal, really. Lockbox for entry was easy to access. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in town!

We loved it. This garage apartment is beautiful, well appointed and well supplied. It’s located in a wonderful neighborhood, and Petaluma itself has a lot to offer. From here, it’s an easy drive to the wine country around Sonoma and Napa and to Muir Woods. Communication with our host was great. We had a great visit in every way.

The rooms were very clean and nicely organized. The kitchen had many condiments that would be needed to prepare food and the refrigerator was full size. We appreciated the washer and dryer and enjoyed spending time in the mornings and evenings on the balcony outside the door. The Peets coffee pods were greatly appreciated for relaxing mornings. The lighting in the bathroom is challenging for putting on makeup and shaving we noted. While the listing notes it is within walking distance from downtown, we found that it would have been quite a long hike to do so, measuring it at over a mile, so we drove to downtown Petaluma. Parking was a little tight as it is street parking and most spaces were taken.

Hi, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to leave a review. I’m sorry the bathroom lighting wasn’t ideal for your personal needs. However, in all of my years hosting, this is the first time a guest has mentioned that the lighting wasn’t bright enough for makeup or shaving, so it wasn’t something I was aware needed to be addressed. I was also surprised by the comment regarding the location. The listing clearly states that the home is within walking distance of downtown, which is less than a mile away. I understand that everyone has a different idea of what “walking distance” means, but the location is accurately described in the listing. You also mentioned that street parking was a little tight. Parking can vary depending on the day and time, but this has not been an issue raised by previous guests. I truly appreciate your feedback and will always consider ways to improve the guest experience. I just wanted to provide some context, as I take my reviews very seriously and have been fortunate to consistently receive five-star ratings throughout my years of hosting. I hope you enjoyed your stay overall and wish you all the best.

Wine country birthday!

My wife and I had a wonderful 5 day stay getting reacquainted with Petaluma again and visiting several nearby wineries. Steve and Cat were wonderful hosts, and the location was a perfect walk to the downtown area!!
