The Dairy est un pas en arriĂšre dans le temps avec un plafond aigu et un loft original. La chambre est spacieuse et accueillante avec 2 lits king-size situĂ©s sous le loft. Un point focal est un beau vitrail situĂ© dans le grenier pour attraper le soleil du matin. La mĂ©ridienne française dort un cinquiĂšme invitĂ© ou fournit simplement un endroit confortable pour se dĂ©tendre. La grande armoire de pays (qui abrite la mini-cuisine) et le mobilier rustique donnent une sensation de pays français Ă  la laiterie. Une salle de bains comprenant une douche est situĂ©e Ă  cĂŽtĂ© du salon de la laiterie. Comme toutes nos chambres d'hĂŽtes, un vaste porche offre un endroit idĂ©al pour se dĂ©tendre et profiter du Texas Hill Country. We absolutely loved our stay at Ava Haus Dairy Barn! It was the perfect home base for our girls trip — cozy, clean, and full of charm. The layout was spacious and comfortable for our group, with plenty of room to hang out and relax after a day of exploring.The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, with such a cute, rustic Hill Country feel. Everything was well-stocked and thoughtfully arranged, which made it feel like home right away.The location was also perfect — just a short drive to all the wineries and downtown Fredericksburg, but tucked away enough to feel private and relaxing.We all said we’d 100% stay here again. It’s such a special spot — can’t recommend it enough!

Disappointed in the over all of the “home”. Beds are like sleeping in a hole, there was no kitchen but a microwave, small sink. We used nothing in the “kitchen”. No sofa to sit in to watch the tv if we wanted just a day bed, who wants to sit on something people sleep in, thankful we decided not to take our 2 little dogs as originally planned as I would have not wanted them on the “dirty” floor. The bathroom was super tiny and the step into the shower was barely big enough for my husbands foot, he wears a 12. And the towels smelled like they were soaked in fabric softener. Just disappointed as this was not like our regular Vrbos
 no we did not enjoy our stay and will not recommend. Thank you.

The Dairy has alot of character. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy. Good times with family. Lots to see and do in and around Fredericksburg.

Fantastic Stay!

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the Dairy Barn for two nights. Our host, Patricia, replied quickly to all my questions, and the barn was perfect! We loved the decor, the snacks/breakfast muffins/cold beverages waiting for us upon check-in, comfy beds, and the great linens. There was also access to a side road where we went on a long walk one morning. We will definitely be back - thank you!

Great place!

The cabin was cute and cozy. The wine tour I did thru the owners was a lot of fun they drove us around in their car so it was very nice not to be in a large wine tour group. Cannot wait to stay again!

Exceptional property and exactly as described. Only knock was the shower head resulting in stinging water pressure which was unpleasant. Would recommend property holistically!

A delightful getaway

Patricia was fabulous about communication prior to our stay and easily available during it. A Most pleasant host. The Diary Barn was quaint and comfortable. Best of all was the serene atmosphere that surrounded us each day.

Great location for exploring Texas Hill Country

Stayed in this nice, spacious one bedroom suite cottage two nights. It was perfect for our dog and us, with cool walls and floors in the Texas heat. Beds were super comfortable and there were nice breakfast fixings (oatmeal, yogurt, etc.). So nice to have a VRBO house that takes pets

Nice little place to stay

The cabin is exactly how it's described online. We had plenty of room and we're excited we could bring our dog along on the vacation. The only thing I would say is it's located near a very busy road so it was a little louder than expected.

Great night!

The one night we stayed was everything we hoped for. I got to sleep on the couch but the lucky ones in my group thought the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The pastry was delicious. I hope to return!

Great location to catch up with Friends

The Ava House was beautifully furnished with antiques. The cabin was larger than expected. My friend and I enjoyed the delicious pastries, yogurts, and drinks that were provided in the cabin. We also were impressed with the comfortable king size beds. We plan to return to this house in the future. Thanks Patty!

We are Tava and Patricia Hamilton. Married since 1996, we share 3 beautiful children, their spouses and 4 fantastic grandchildren!

Moving from Central Texas in 2017; we were given the opportunity to purchase an incredible 1862 authentic German Homestead, which includes the first hand dug well in FBG, and the first Dairy Barn.

Attracted to the tranquil setting, beauty, history, and convenient access to town, we couldn’t refuse. On 7/7/17, we purchased the property!

Everyday we feel thankful to live here. It is truly a charmed life. We are thankful to be sharing our place with you, family, and friends. Welcome to our HOME!!
