Spectacular ocean views from a hill top, Clam Beach Cottage offers a quiet oasis of privacy and beautiful ocean views. Imagine waking up to breathtaking ocean views and spending your days exploring the natural wonders of the Redwood Coast. It's location just 30 minutes from Redwood National Park, and the awe-inspiring World's Tallest Tree makes this home a special place to soak up adventure and relaxation. After a day of hiking, return for a tranquil evening of taking in sunsets and stargazing. Great patio furniture for guest's outdoor enjoyment!

This custom 2 story cottage is perfect for a group of friends or family getaway. It is set up with style and comfort with 3 bedrooms (2 Queens & 1 Cal King) and two well-appointed bathrooms. The open living room with Smart T.V., dining room and kitchen allow for easy entertainment and gathering. The kitchen is stocked and well appointed to make cooking a delightful experience. The wood floors, artful lighting, & decor, plus stunning views set the stage for a perfect vacation. Mini split provides comfortable heating. The main level of the home has 2 bedrooms each with Queen beds and one full bathroom. Upstairs offers an beautiful, spacious loft-like den, a bedroom with flat screen T.V., a Cal King and the 2nd full bathroom. There is so much space to spread out and relax, do some yoga, read or just breathe in the ocean air. There is a large capacity washer/dryer. Onsite parking is available for 3 vehicles. No garage parking .The location is prime, located close enough to the highway for convenience but high enough to avoid road noise and just 10 minutes from the vibrant college town of Arcata, 10 minutes from the charming seaside village of Trinidad, and less than 2 miles from the local airport for easy travel. Outdoor adventures are a cinch with proximity to the celebrated California Coastal Hammond Trail, perfect for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. This 5-plus mile trail, voted the "best place to walk, jog, or bike" in Humboldt County, offers stunning scenery and access to Clam Beach County Park.

Important Notes:

** Guest reserving home must be 25 years or older, be staying at the property the entire time and will be considered the responsible party for this booking.

** Upon completion of booking reservation guests will be required to sign a rental agreement agreeing to Trinidad Retreats rules and regulations.

** Sorry but this is not a pet friendly home, no exceptions.

Great property, we would stay there again. There are some electrical issues if you are trying to cook be cautuious but other than that you can't beat the view and location.

This is by far my favorite VRBO that I’ve ever stayed in! Beautiful home. Beautiful view. Nice and private. Extremely clean. Very easy drive to Redwood Forest National Park, Trinidad, etc. After a day of viewing the beaches and walking the trails, it was very nice to come back too and relax. Sunset view was amazing especially for someone normally on the East Coast. Very hard to leave and hope to go back someday.

Overall it was wonderful. Loved hearing the ocean. Did get some road noise. We had 6 staying as was very comfortable. Kitchen was nicely furnished and we would stay there again!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach house! The ocean views and surrounding scenery were absolutely stunning, and we loved starting each morning with coffee on one of the balconies overlooking the sea. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, the outdoor dining space was perfect for family meals, and the bedrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. There was plenty of room for our family of six, and the location was ideal with easy access to Clam Beach, Moonstone Beach, and the nearby redwoods. We'd definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Clam Beach Cottage. It is in a very convenient location. The cottage has an amazing view; it was hard to leave. The bedrooms are very comfortable. We are excited to book our next trip!

Ideal location just south of Redwood parks. About 1 hour drive to Klamath for reference. Very convenient to Trinidad and Arcata for great restaurants. Perfect drive to Prairie Creek Redwood area where a bunch of the nice hikes are. Lots of nearby beaches. Appreciated all the restaurant and hiking recs from the owners! House is excellent set up for family of 6 or similar sized groups. The primary bedroom upstairs with its own bath is great. The upstairs living area with balcony and sunset view of the ocean is fabulous. Great spot to read or drink coffee or for kids to play or conversation. Kitchen is very well stocked. Super clean property. Beautiful plantings/ landscaping. Loved having hose outside to rinse off sandy shoes. Very tasteful decor. Can’t imagine why you’d stay anywhere else. Had two tiny issues during our stay and they were resolved quickly. Overall, the caliber of the property really just felt like we were staying at a friend’s place. Feels like the owners really care about doing this rental house thing really well! Will include pics of plants on the property because I like plants.

Beautiful Views & Great Location

We really enjoyed the incredible views and the location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to do, but it felt private and relaxing. Just a five minute drive to Clam Beach for beachcombing and beautiful sunsets when weather allows! The home was comfortable, the beds were great, and the management team was responsive and easy to work with. We’d be happy to stay here again!

Great Location, Looks as Pictured, But Several Issues

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was decorated well, matched the photos, and had comfortable, clean furniture and bedding. We felt safe during our stay. The view was lovely, the location was good, and there were games and books available. The kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and a few spices. Before check-in, we requested to drop off luggage since we were arriving early, and management agreed — very helpful.However, upon arrival, the home was extremely hot upstairs due to large windows facing the sun. There’s no central air (which we knew), but there were no screens on the windows with the best breeze, so opening them let in mosquitos. After texting, someone offered to bring box fans.We soon noticed ants in the kitchen (with bait already out, so clearly a known issue) and that the downstairs rug hadn’t been vacuumed well. That evening, the upstairs tub barely drained and was clogged with hair. All but one smoke alarm had been removed, and more ants appeared. I emailed and was told someone could come the next day.They provided temporary window screens, offered to vacuum (I had already done so), said they’d spray for ants, and reinstall smoke detectors. However, the ant problem worsened — showing up in the kitchen, laundry room, near the front door, in the primary bathroom, and eventually in my son’s bed. We were refunded the cleaning fee.Would we return or recommend? Probably not, though with improvements, it could be a much better rental.
