With 100 feet of shoreline in Madison-on-the Lake, Ohio. Built in 1930. Faces north with great lakeside view, smooth stone beach, and beautiful sunrise and sunset March thru November (sunsets year-round). Swimming from beach and dock in front of cottage. Quirks include dated appliances and antique beds. 2 bedrooms sleep 4 downstairs. Loft-type sleeping upstairs, with 4 additional single beds. Two full baths, one on each level. Additional ½ bath on first floor. Hardwood floors and pine paneling throughout. Period 1950 stove with 2 working burners and working oven. Dishwasher, disposal, microwave, washing machine and dryer. Window unit AC upstairs. WiFi. Driveway parking for 3 cars. Easy access to grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and several wineries.

Beautiful location and interesting, historical house. Great spot to enjoy the sunset. Lots of great birds. We hope to return! Kitchen is well-appointed. Pictures posted on VRBO by host represent property accurately.Check-in was a bit confusing as the lockbox on door was not a lock, but contained the keys. Front door would not unlock with the key, but we used a key to unlock a side door. Plenty of comfortable seating inside and out. Master bedroom comfortable. Bed in second downstairs bedroom not so much.Host (Meredith) readily available to answer questions.Instruction sheet on trash pickup, what to do on departure, etc., should be provided.Friendly and helpful neighbor (Tom). Neighborhood restaurant, Driftwood Point, is excellent. Drive to local wineries is beautiful.
