Great experience

  • 5 of 5

We were at the View House for a week and it was just what we wanted. Incredible views all throughout the house and the outside seating areas. Very close to so many things we wanted to do (Cog Railway, Garden of the Gods, great restaurants, etc.) yet a very quiet and relaxed place. We had our two kids, ages 6 and 3, and they loved the waterfall. Everything was very nice, clean, and we had everything we needed for the stay. Perfect spot from which to explore the Colorado Springs area.

Peaceful getaway with a great view

  • 4 of 5

Great house with great views. We really enjoyed our time here, it was the perfect home base for us. We'd definitely stay again.

Windows - everywhere you go inside there are lots of windows, the view is ever-present and beautiful. There may be better views elsewhere nearby but you've got a pretty sure deal here.

Location - great location to get into Manitou Springs for a meal or trinket shopping, great proximity to Pike's Peak hwy, and Garden of the Gods. Everything you want to do in the C Springs area is within range (1hr to Royal Gorge)

Tranquility - there are plenty of other houses on this hill, but it's quiet and you won't see a lot of people. Hopefully you'll see plenty of deer out the back door as we did.

I wouldn't necessarily characterize these as cons - just things to be aware of

Layout: The layout is awesome if you want to trip up here with 3 couples and everyone gets their own room. It's a little harder if you're a family with young children as we are and you don't want your little ones traipsing up and down the stairs at night if they get scared. We made it work no problem in the end but just be aware.

Appliances: Oven and Dishwasher could use a little love :D Everything works though and you'll be just fine.

We definitely recommend the view house!

Overall experience was great, some of the party thought a few of the kitchen items could stand a little upgrade( toaster, range, knives, etc.) Property manager very helpful and willing to do anything to make our stay good. Would stay here again.

The View House is Well-Named!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the View House over Labor Day weekend in Sept. Overlooks Manitou Springs - view is awesome. The back patio with waterfall was the perfect hang-out space for coffee in the morning as well as a drink in the evening. Beds were comfortable and linens were very nice. Kitchen had everything we needed. The house is a very open concept design, so not a whole lot of privacy except in the addition suite. Owner and property manager were very helpful in answering questions and following up to make sure our stay was what we expected. We would stay again!!
