This cabin was great. Lots of room. The lake was a short walk down a hill. If you were sharing the cabin with friends for a vacation or with older kids it would be perfect. The hill side is pretty steep and the drivers that pads by the house travel faster then they should. My wife and I were uncomfortable with those attributes and or very young kids. The cabin has a very nice enclosed deck that we used for playtime.

This was such a nice little gem in mentone. Our kids loved walking down to the water and playing, and feeding ducks. We made a fire for marshmallows one night and we really enjoyed the large screened in porch. It was spacious and stocked with everything we needed.

Pulling on to the property was misleading as well as the property listing. Listing made it seem as a stand alone property which it did not, there was another property directly across from the property on the same driveway. Also claimed river access which used the other property’s access. Cleanliness wasn’t terrible being in the location of the property. We had millipedes and centipedes we had to dispose of every day, and with a 8 month old was a fun work out before she popped them in her mouth. But overall, we enjoyed our stay, we love it up there especially with it only being 5 hours from our house.

Host was awesome! Clear communication and instructions. Rental was exceptional- clean, comfortable and welcoming. Views were fantastic. Location is great. So much room for family gatherings and decor was adorable. Recommend year round as the location offers many activities in all seasons.
Lots of places to sit, inside and out, fire pit in back, front porch covered. Many places to sip coffee and just relax.
View from covered, screen deck.
Water just a small walk. Has place to put in kayak or go swimming.
Large table, great host kitchen.

I now live in Baton Rouge, La. but was raised only 17 miles from the cabin in Fort Payne, Al. I love the mountain and built the Guest House so I could be close to those who visited to enjoy their company when they are my personal friends and family but to give them their own space. This mountain is the most beautiful place on earth to me.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

I originally looked at brow property but when I saw this property I was hooked. 6 acres, huge River Frontage, Dock to load and unload your boat. Close to everything I need yet truly relaxing, surrounded by nature.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Both Cabins on the property have large screened in porches furnished to just Rock or enjoy an outdoor lunch or dinner.

The grounds are landscaped with Rhododendron, Azaleas, and Dogwood, all natural to the mountain.

Your Dog will surely understand that he/she is on vacation with all the squirrels and birds they can chace.

You are within minutes of your daily excursion and you will never run out of interesting activities.
