Little Harbor is a hidden gem in Ruskin. I have made numerous family trips to the Tampa area and have never even heard of Ruskin prior to this trip. I’m happy we found this hidden community. The townhouse was very comfortable and truly felt like a temporary home. We had dinner at the Sunset Bar and Grill at Little Harbor. I was so happy with my meal that I went back the next night and ordered the same dish. I happened to meet a few of the neighbors who live there year round and they could not have been more welcoming. I will definitely consider this spot for future trips to the area.
We were very pleased with our stay. There were manatees in the canal every day and the view facing us bay was beautiful.

Happy to hear! Thank you for leaving a review. The cable has been fixed, the cable box was missing a cable cord for some odd reason ;P Not sure how that went missing! But we have replaced it. We will absolutely take a good look at the bed in the 2nd bdrm to repair or replace.
Comfort is very important!
Clean, comfortable & perfect location for our needs.
This place worked out perfect for our needs, restaurants, beach & pools all within walking distance, was great to not have to constantly drive. Plenty of stores within short driving range. We enjoyed the kayaks offered at a very reasonable cost right on the beach. Several balconies at the house gave us beautiful outside views!

Thank you for your feedback, we love hearing back from our guests! Come visit us anytime, we loved having you!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. My daughter has been staying in Ruskin (Going to school there) for 2 years now. We have stayed at different VRBO's in Little Harbor Resort over that time and we have determined that this was by far our nicest rental. We spent the morning and some evenings on the balcony watching the manatees playing in the water right by us.
This was our first stay at a townhouse in this area. Usually we stay at hotels but wanted to have a different experience. We rented three units and all had a great time. Only problem was the cleanliness of the sheets and towels at this one unit. Luckily we had brought towels with us, but not sheets, pillow covers or comforters, so we had to deal with the not so clean comforter, pillow covers and sheets. We had a great time, so we will be back.
We had a very enjoyable 28 day stay here. Nice views from both sides of the unit, manatees in the channel virtually every day. 7-8 minute walk to the beach and to both bars/restaurants on site. Beautiful sunsets most days! Many grocery shopping and dining options within a 15 minute drive.

Property Review
Our condo was clean and comfortable with nice views. While there are tennis and basketball courts, equipment is not provided. Communication with manager was very spotty prior to our arrival. It stated two pools were available - only one was and that one was unfortunately dirty. Be prepared to drive 45 minutes to get to beaches and attractions -- there is not much entertainment in close proximity.
Quiet community. Great location. Cute restaurants on-site, easy access to beach. Conveniently located near off-site restaurants and grocery stores. Pet friendly! Front porch overlooks the gulf, back patio overlooks a mangrove/ channel and we saw manatees almost every day.

Thank you Pamela! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We wish we could be right on the beach as well :) It is a 7-10 minute walk down to the beach but maybe next time we can arrange a golf cart rental for you ;) Our vendor drops it off on the property for your use and picks it up after you depart. Ideal to get around the community. Look forward to having you in the future!

Water View not Water Front, Nice, Clean, Town house
This is not beach front property it is water view, the pictures give you the impression that you can walk out of the townhouse and you are at the beach but it is a short walk to the beach. The unfinished buildings are an eyesore and am sure a sore spot for the owner. There is a field you can walk across and it has a nice dock, some outdoor folding chairs would be nice for sitting there. There are two restaurants on site and a tiki bar all on the water, all were very good and are in walking distance. Bill was a great help. Some more bath towels and washcloths would help the ones there are old and is not enough for four people, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, would be nice , at least enough to start off with since most visitors are flying we can't bring with, dish soap should be a must have even though there is a dishwasher with soap supplied there was no dish soap to hand wash items we were using everyday. This is a lovely townhouse and we did enjoy our stay.

Answer to unknown. Thank you for your comments we are glad you liked the town house and enjoyed your stay, but our records do not indicate any check in to this town house on January 18. All town houses are waterfront they are located straight on the waterways/canals adjacent to the bay on a lot with a sea wall. We always supply a startup kit to our guests that include a roll of toilet paper to each bathroom, a paper towel roll to the kitchen, a couple of dishwashing tabs to the dishwashing machine, laundry tabs, bar soap and shampoo/lotion to each bathroom. The above startup kit is supplied by the cleaning company to all our town houses.
Sincerely
Yvonne

Great anniversary!
Thank you for making our 20th anniversary a dream vacation. My husband & I loved your townhouse. It was a great place. Nice & clean, with a fully stocked kitchen. We only left to take romantic walks on the beach, which was just a short walk from our place. Thank you again, Richard & Jane Simmons

Nice townhome, but be prepared for extra fees!
Review #9334587 “Nice townhome, but be prepared for extra fees!”
The home itself it nice enough and pretty well kept for being a rental.
Thats where the good portion ends. This particular unit is facing a 7 year old dilapidated building, in fact the pictures of the outside of the unit shown on this listing are NOT the unit you will be staying at. The interior pics are correct though. If you click on the map, then choose satellite view, you can see the building thats an eyesore.
The gentleman who met us to give us access, was 40 mins late for our meeting time, and he gave us a personal family reason/excuse for being late, but the woman I spoke to on the phone claimed he was "with another guest" when I called to inquire why he was late. He absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke which took all evening to dissipate out of the unit.
You have to pay a substantial cleaning fee in CASH right then, but only to find out when you check out YOU are responsible for everything you would think the cleaning person was getting paid to do.
You have to remove all trash.
You have to do all the dishes.
You have to wash the sheets.
If you use the comforters, you have to pay an extra fee.
So you pay a large fee for them to let you in, and then put fresh towels and make the beds for the next guest.
This is on top of the fact, YOU have to pay for any electric you use....seriously. My bill was not huge, but it the principal, and that they hide this info in the fine print.
The resort itself is OK...but be prepared for rules, many of them. I was lucky to find a new dock thats just been built in the mangroves a few hundred feet from our unit. After I had driven around and saw no fishing signs everywhere. I rented fishing poles and bought bait from the marina and was enjoying sitting on the dock of the bay waiting for a bite when the security guard came and ran me off, telling me, "I know there is no sign, but there is no fishing here". He demanded I leave right that minute, and when I asked why the dock was built, he said "I really don't know, I realize it looks like a fishing dock, but in the month since I have been working here, there is no fishing". Clearly they don't want people on vacation here. As it turns out, the area he took me to that was designated for fishing, I was later told by the marina was ALSO a NO FISHING area.

Dear Rental Guest.
Thank you for your comments but there seems to be several misunderstandings.
Answer on your posted review;
1.The pictures of the outside townhouses are a street view that show a row of town houses, not a particular one as they all look the same. There is also a picture of the Gate Cottage used by the Security Guards, assuming you did not believe you rented the Gate Cottage. The home has 4 balconies with different views. There is a non-ready construction at the end of the street but the balconies from the living room and master bedroom are not facing the street, they are facing the waterway & Tampa Bay.
2.Why the lady from Guest Service was unable to check you in and instead sent a replacement we have no knowledge about and we need to investigate further.
3.Reading the information on the website. Our advertising clearly states additional fees; cleaning fee $115.00 and electric usage fee. The same information is also stated on the reservation confirmation and the rental agreement that you received, signed and returned to us.
4.As all vacation homes are self-catered and don’t have daily maid service you as the renter are responsible to take care of your own trash, laundry and dishes during your stay. All beds have a comforter/bedspread and there is of course no usage charge. At checkout guests are requested to remove their household trash to the dumpster, that’s all.
5.Fishing are allowed at the 250 feet long community Fishing Pier stretching out in the bay located next to the waterfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar down at the beach plus on other locations in the community.
We wish you had called us at the main office during your stay, one call could have resolved your issues.
Sincerely,
