Tucked among the pines and cedars of the Sierras, Sugar Pine Cabin offers an idyllic retreat for any season. Situated in Sugar Pine, California, along Sonora Pass (Hwy 108), it's just minutes away from the historic gold rush towns of Sonora, Jamestown, and Columbia. Perched at 4,500 feet, it lies between Twain Harte and Mi Wuk Village. The stunning Pinecrest Lake and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort are a brief drive away, with Yosemite National Park within reach for a day trip.

This spacious tri-level cabin nestles on a serene cul-de-sac. In the summer, guests can enjoy Sugar Pine Lake, a private haven merely a three-minute stroll from the cabin, featuring a child-friendly beach, diving platforms, and fishing spots, all within a secured and gated area accessible with a key.

Great attention has been paid to crafting a welcoming escape that caters to both adults and children. The expansive dining area serves as a hub for board games, crafts, or other diversions beyond meal times. The main floor, encompassing the dining, kitchen, and living areas, opens onto a large redwood deck furnished with picnic tables, offering views of the surrounding woods. The loft provides a secluded play space for kids, complete with a TV and DVD player. The lower-level game room is outfitted with classic arcade machines, an air hockey table, and even a claw machine, all set to free-play for endless entertainment.

For guest safety the cabin has an exterior camera overlooking the driveway. For additional information look for SugarPineCabin.

Please read:
When making a booking request please include the following information: number of guests and their age range, the purpose of trip (e.g., family reunion, business meeting, birthday celebration, ski trip, etc.), and your city of residence. Requests to book without correspondence will be declined.

A signed occupancy agreement and a copy of government identification are required to complete the booking process. The documents shall be returned within 48 hours of receipt. The cabin has a max occupancy of 14 per local ordinances. Groups exceeding 14 will be expelled without refund.

We had such a wonderful stay at Sugar Pine Lake! The house had plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 8 kids, and everyone was comfortable. The location was perfect—just a short, easy walk to the lake, which made it so convenient for our family.Eric was an outstanding host and responded quickly to all of my questions, making everything easy from start to finish. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, but the highlight for everyone was definitely the game room! We also loved all the fun wall signs and decor throughout the house—it gave the cabin so much personality and made it feel warm and welcoming.We had an amazing time and are already talking about making this an annual tradition. Thank you, Eric, for making our stay so comfortable. We can’t wait to come back!

Very happy with this cabin as it’s tough to find a place for our crew of 13. Location was perfect with easy access to “fishing spots” for our grandkids. Kids also enjoyed riding bikes and playing in the lake. And the arcades were a huge hit. Thank you Eric for your hospitality.

FUN stay for a 14th Birthday weekend

We booked this cabin for my son's 14th birthday weekend. The upstairs area with 6 twin beds and the arcade was PERFECT for our group!! We had a great time! Thanks Eric for your communication & responsiveness.

Great house, great host!

The kids loved the upstairs room with all the beds and their jaws dropped when they saw the lower level with the arcade. :) Eric was very communicative and kind - he worked with us on check in and even came to un-jam the air hockey table for us. The kitchen was clean and well stocked; the TV setup was easy to use and welcome after a day of sledding. We had a great time and would go again!

What a fun house!

We had a fun time in the house. The home was exactly like the picture! The communication with Eric was easy! We were 3 families and we fit great. (7 adults 6 kids)

Family trip

We really liked the place, location and neighborhood.Lake is amazing, very close to the house.The house is spacious for 12-14 people. Our kids enjoyed playing games. The only thing that we would like to improve was BBQ grill that is old and was hard to use. Our family enjoyed the stay and would love to return next time and definitely recommend to others.Thank you.

Family getaway

We ALL had so much fun! Our family wanted to do something different for Dads/grandpas 74th birthday. The house was able to accommodate our family. We really enjoyed the private lake, kids , teenagers and adults had a blast. We even had an airhocky tournament! We will definitely be hack!

Fun for the new years !

We had a big group , total of 14 people. House had plenty of space for everyone. Great location, close to the casino , close to markets and ski lodge. This was my second time renting this cabin . House came well stocked from pots , towels, coffee machines. Very happy with it.

Great Sugar Pine cabin

We enjoyed our stay! Spacious and clean. Huge dining room! It was so nice for our group to dine all together. We had lots of fun in the downstairs Arcade room. Lots of laughs during air hockey tournaments! Plenty of board games to choose from. This was a winter stay, and we were warm and cozy inside. Excellent location. A short drive to convenient stores and Dodge Ridge. Quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors! The owner Eric is also friendly and responsive. Highly recommend this cabin. Thank you Erica and Christine for sharing your cabin and allowing us to make more fun and lasting memories!

5/5 10/10 would highly recommend. Conveniently located close to a private lake which is beautiful by the way. Some nice little perks I really enjoyed was the game room, the bbq grills with a propane tank that was provided by host. Loved the location truly felt immersed in nature. Will defintely plan on returning.

We had an exemplary stay at sugar pine cabin. The house is adorable, we filled it up with 14 people and had plenty of supplies to work with. We were not lacking for any amenities. Eric, the host, went above and beyond to make our stay special, helping us with a few requests. My expectations were wildly exceeded, we will be returning!

Great family rental

Great home for families and large groups. The house has tons of room, beds are comfortable and the arcade is perfect for kids! Our family enjoyed the lake which is a short walk/drive. Communication with the owner was great. Anything we needed, he made sure to help. Would definitely stay here again.

Even better than expected

This property was very spacious, the pictures don't do justice to the house. We really enjoyed the house and the privacy at the end of the day when we all went to bed. It was a great location, super close to Dodge Ridge. We had a wonderful weekend!

Home Away From Home

We had a wonderful stay! This home was the perfect place for our family get away. It is well kept, clean, and full of awesome amenities! Communication with the host couldn't have been any better. He is very friendly, super easy to reach out to, and made sure our stay and all that lead up to our trip was perfect! We will definitely be booking to stay here again, and highly recommend this home to those looking for the perfect home away from home.

White Christmas

We were hoping for a little snow during our trip but the owners and friends in the area told me you may get a little but it usually snows heavily in January. To our surprise there was back to back snow storms, it was beautiful and looked like a hallmark movie, we definitely had a white Christmas so much that we were snowed in for awhile , the home itself was perfect for our family and the arcade was a huge hit. They had plenty of games and cable including Netflix to keep everyone entertained while we were snowed in. We also experienced a fluke power outage which was not fun but that’s Mother Nature for you, the owner (Eric) stayed in contact with us as much as possible during this time but they were also experiencing outages. We definitely made long lasting memories on this trip and look forward to coming back.

We loved the stay. Owners responsive, cabin stocked, location great!

Great experience for all ages. The games in the lower level were great entertainment. I was able to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for 11 with no issues. Owners amazing. Highly recommend!!

The PERFECT Family Getaway

Sugar Pine cabin is a unique, fun and family orientated property! There is something for everyone and the kids, almost all teenagers, LOVED LOVED LOVED the game room. The cabin is cute, roomy and has so many amenities. We played games around the spacious table and made lasting memories.

Great stay

The place was perfect for our girls trip. The beds were very comfortable and the place had everything you needed. The private lake was great and walking distance from the cabin. We really enjoyed lunch out on the deck and the use of the grill. The owner was also very communicative from the begging.

It is a wonderful place for family reunions, ski weekend getaways, or to spend a week in the summertime. Sugar Pine Cabin has many families who return to year after year to make memories.
