Apartment was clean and conveniently located by the Metro station. It had everything we needed. Traveled to tours and DAC airport very easily. The host was very easy communicate with and quick to respond. I would most definitely visit again!

Great area to stay for our short trip. Great host! Nice set up. Might want to consider doing a deep clean soon. Bathroom was a little dusty but overall clean and lots of amenities like microwave and toaster oven. Thanks Kennie!!

Great place to stay! Check in was super smooth. Host's response time was super quick. Full kitchen is great for multiple ppl staying if you want to coom. 10 min walk to the metro and a target (to grab groceries). Easy to also access Uber. About 45 min from the Dulles

Great Place to Stay in Washington DC

The apartment was very nice and the location was a 5 minute walk to the metro. The host was kind enough to leave some metro cards for our use. It could use a few more kitchen utensils since we enjoy cooking. There were restaurants, shopping and a grocery within walking distance. It was quiet inside the apartment. The only noise was the people upstairs walking around. I would definitely recommend for a couple wanting to visit DC and would stay there again.

SUPER communicative. I had several questions throughout my stay and Kennie was quick to respond each time. Location was convenient, close enough to a metro stop. Ever so slightly musty smell, but it's a basement unit (Dehumidifier may help?). Mostly clean, only issue was the pillows for the sleeper sofa could stand to be renewed. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Very Nice

Cute basement apartment. Near the green metro (about 3 blocks) which was very convenient. Easy access to the Mall & DC sites. Liked the washer/dryer. The only negative was it was so dark when we arrived. If the owners could leave an outside light on for guests, that would have been very helpful.

Very comfortable and quiet. Couple of kitchen items missing. Wine glasses were provided after asking, needs a cutting board. Bathroom floor needs a good scrub. Would definitely stay again.

Overall a great stay for anyone visiting DC. Quiet neighborhood overall. Its a ways away from the main hub that is DC, however public transportation is available and relatively easy to navigate. Easy check in/out process. Any questions/concerns were easily answered and taken care of. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful experience

Lovely experience. Vibrant diverse neighborhood with great restaurants and the the Columbia Hts Metro Stop blocks away. The futon was incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended. Would stay again next time in DC.

This is very nice spot for a family of 4. Located in sleepy suburb of DC, the area felt safe and downtown sights still in ag. The home has all you would need/want for a short stay or a longer one too with having the washer/dryer (a very underrated amenity) meaning you can still travel fairly light. The host was very accommodating and responsive. If your driving I definitely recommend buying the parking spot they have available. I would definitely stay here again A++++.

Relax and enjoy!

We loved staying at this VRBO. This is downstairs and the hosts are definitely the "hosts with the most'! We couldn't have asked for better, they stored our luggage and even let us in early. This was a comfy place within walking or scooter distance of the metro. The neighborhood was quiet and you definitely need to try the pizza down the street. We typically cook our own food and the kitchen was roomy. Loved the yard and the encouragement for my grandson to enjoy it during our down time. I would definitely stay again!

Felt mislead but not a bad place

The check in process went well and great communication with host. The basement stairwells both were pretty dingy, dark, musty and wet. When booking was made it stared 2 bedrooms but I suppose it could’ve been on me that in the fine print it states that it was pull out futon not a separate two bedroom. Pictures were misleading. I have noticed since our booking and reaching out to the property manager -the listing was updated two bedroom second with a disclaimer being it is in the living room. I paid 15 extra day for parking but the information within the apartment says it should’ve been 10 for the spot. The street parking looks to be pretty confusing so overall I’m glad that I paid it, but I was overcharged according to the information presented. Neighborhood was nice, but not having two bedrooms, put a real damper on our trip so much so that we left early. There were some positives. The shower was very nice and they did leave the MetroCard so we didn’t have to buy them. It is a safe area. Overall I’d recommend, but for us it just didn’t work.

Perfect Location!

My family and I absolutely LOVED this property! It is located about a 10 minute walk away from the Columbia Heights Metro Station which was vital for us since we arrived via Amtrak. Within the same area as this metro station were tons of choices for food and shopping. We arrived around noon and the Host allowed us to check in early to avoid storing our luggage which was a huge help. The apartment was easy to get into, was very clean and had anything we could have needed for our 4 night stay. The neighborhood was very nice. For a basement apartment, there was still a nice amount of natural light coming through the windows. My 7 year old son loved that they had Jenga in the apartment for us to play! The Host was very responsive to questions I had asked in the process of booking and before our arrival. Even during our stay the communication was great. We would, without a doubt, rent this property again. Thank you for making our stay in our Nations Capitol that much more wonderful!

Great stay close to the metro

The property was clean and as advertised. The hosts were quick to reply to messages prior to the trip. We really appreciated having a washer/dryer in the unit. This is a basement apartment that doesn’t feel like a basement- it is light with pleasant colors. The water pressure in the shower was good and the bed was comfortable. Our kids slept on the air mattress and futon, and both were comfortable. They appreciated not having to share a bed. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The hosts graciously offered to hold our luggage for us until the unit was cleaned, which was much appreciated because we had an early flight in. The kitchen was nice, and had what we needed to make dinner a couple of times. The unit is close to the green metro line (about a 7 minute walk). We found it easy to navigate to other lines if needed. There are two grocery stores by the metro station, which were convenient to get snacks and breakfast food. We would absolutely stay here again if we are back in DC, and recommend this listing. For reference, we are a family of 4 with kids who are 10 and 12 years old. We had plenty of space and enjoyed not being on top of each other like you are in a hotel room.

Great Find With Great Hosts!

Our family of four booked this location for our Washington DC trip during Memorial Day week. We are 44, 43, 24 and 20 so it was mainly adults. This was our first time to a "Big" city so it took a little getting used to but we enjoyed it. The home is a little distance from the major attractions so I would not recommend walking unless you are really in shape- I am not lol!! I about died the first day of walking but I am a country girl who does not walk more than about a mile a day. We did end up using Uber/Lyft most of our trip. The Metro is just a little ways away but I wasn't quite sure about using it. The costs for transportation though weren't bad compared to many places we've traveled. The home was just as described and accommodated us well during our stay. The hosts were SUPER nice and helpful. They provided a blow up mattress as our two kids did not want to share the pull out which was VERY nice. There is a cute kitchen as well but we ate out every meal just for ease. My only item of concern was I wish I had brought some pillows. They did have some provided but they were very thin and not much support. They did provide plenty of towels and necessities though. They even had some epsom salt which I did utilize and GREATLY appreciated during the visit! We also found a store just at the end of the road which made it super easy to walk and get drinks and snacks to stock up. Overall I would highly recommend this home for your visit to Washington D.C. !!

Very cute and CLEAN house. It is close to downtown and all the accommodations you would get if you were staying at your very own place. 15-minute drive to the National mall and right off 14th street which is loaded with restaurants. The host are incredibly fast at replying to and answering all questions. Check in and check out is seamless. Fast Wi-Fi, Netflix, newer faucets, large fridge, and perfect for a couple or small family.

Separate and private entry to the unit. The place definitely has no contact entry into the unit for all the privacy needed. Walking distance to local restaurants, shopping and public transportation for quick access to the downtown area.
